We hired Comfort Pools to resurface our pool a few years ago. Shortly after the job was complete, we noticed issues with the pool surface. We contacted Comfort Pools and asked for assistance. We were given a story that seemed off, but we mistakenly trusted Comfort Pools. As time passed, the issues continued to get worse. We called Comfort Pools again and they passed us off to the "installer". Confused, we asked Comfort Pools why they were not helping us with the issue directly? Comfort Pools responded by explaining it was not their responsibility and then told us that they hoped it all worked out. Yes, believe it or not that was their response… We attempted to contact the installer multiple times through calls and texts and surprise, surprise no response... Obviously, we have a problem with the pool surface, but honestly, we have more of a problem with the lack of professionalism and customer service provided by Comfort Pools. The fact that the licensed contractor we signed with and paid refused to stand behind the service that they sold us or assist us in any useful way was shameful. We have used many contractors for many things on our homes over the years. We have taken great care in selecting reputable contractors and have been pleased with basically every contractor we have hired, except for Comfort Pools. We rarely write reviews, especially negative reviews. However, the response or lack of response of Comfort Pools was so insane and irresponsible that we thought other homeowners should be aware. There is nothing worse than a contractor who signs and dances to sell you a service and then after they collect their final check, and you reach out for assistance they completely disappear. We would never recommend this contractor to anyone and advise every other homeowner to proceed with caution : )

Met on a Saturday. Started that Wednesday. Done Friday. Wanted to have pool done before next Summer. Was done in 6 days from first phone call.

Excellent from start to finish. I've waited nearly a year to post this article, since I wanted to give a glowing review after seeing how the work held up over a bit of time. I work from home, so was able to watch the progress as Pete and his guys worked their magic. You can see many photos of the process here: [*** Link removed ***] Pete is a great guy to work with and provided excellent guidance and suggestions throughout the entire process. He and his team busted their butts to make everything happen as quickly as possible. Florida weather delays are inevitable and Pete was great about keeping me informed when schedules changed. The quality of work done was excellent and nearly a year later our pool and deck still look amazing. When Pete wasn't doing the work himself, he was coming by to monitor progress and make sure everything was gong to plan. We had a couple of minor issues/concerns during the process and Pete quickly resolved any issues or educated us as to what was going on. 10/10 would hire again.

It was a fantastic experience for me. He told me how it was going to go and it went exactly as he said it would. I was concerned that having this type of work done would be so intrusive and cause a lot of distraction to our home environment but to my surprise and delight they came immediately, and were half way done before I even knew it had begun, and they were finished within the time frame quoted. Peter was always in communication with me as the project continued and that alone is worth the price of admission because so many other contractors fail on this point. He also saved us a few hundred dollars by doing the pool treatment that our pool service would have charged three times as much. I highly recommend this company!

I chose Comfort Pools for my pool and deck resurface and am glad I did. They did a beautiful job and my outdoor living space is transformed. Pete and his team are experienced professionals and quality craftsmen. Their work is awesome. Always responsive, Pete kept me informed every step of the way. I was especially impressed that he was able to complete the job in a such a reasonable time frame given all of the rainy weather. I would highly recommend Pete and Comfort Pools.

This was the third and last time I hired this company. Pete almost always answers the phone himself and tries to be responsive and he would work within my time constraints. His attitude towards me changed completely once he was paid for the job. There are two primary reasons I do not recommend the company. After the refinish was done and the pool filled with water, it was quickly apparent there was a huge leak, eventually about 4 inches per day (huge amount of water). The pool was not leaking before Pete began the refinish. Pete told me he sent someone out to check the pool for the leak but did not find the leak. The next day the leaking seemed worse and I was frantic. Pete told me it was up to me to hire a leak detection company at my own expense because he did not have the proper equipment (but neither did he hire the company himself). He gave me a name and number but that company was unable to come for more than a week. I found a different company on my own, one man came out, no special equipment, quickly found a screwdriver size hole in the light well which was obviously cause by Pete’s people. Pete acknowledged leaks in the light would be on him and he paid for the leak detection. He later tried to deny it was his responsibility. About 6 weeks after the job was finished the pavers around the skimmer were sinking. I pulled them up only to find a hole with some rubble in it surrounding the skimmer (see photo). I did not check this area at the time the job was done trusting the contractor (Pete) to confirm the job was done properly which it was not. I contacted Pete after July 4 asking him to make this right and his response was ugly and unprofessional. He threatened me with his “legal department” if I contacted him again. There were a few other unsatisfactory items, but they pale in comparison to the lousy job done on the skimmer and Pete’s response regarding the pool leak. Overall, very unsatisfactory.

Please request the PHOTO of the PERFECTLY beautiful pool work I did and I will email or them or text it to you. I covered my rear end with her. It looks awesome. Like a magazine cover. From the start the customer started demanding all sorts of free additional service. It was only after being subtly extorted for free services for weeks which as a small guy I had to comply in order to get paid at all . Free pool service for several months. Free tile installation. Free pool chemicals. Yard cleaning with no connection to my work area. Free leak detection at my expense after claiming she had one done and fixed. I insisted on her getting a leak fixed before we start. She lied saying she had the leak repaired ; she did not and stuck me with the bill when I was finished. MONTHS AFTER I was finished with the job and AFTER a major rain storm she called me wanting FREE paver repairs. AGAIN I DID NOT DO HER PAVERS. SHE LIVES ON THE WATER AND THE RAIN WASHED OUT ALL HER PAVERS I FIND IT ODD SHE ONLY PUTS UP THE SKIMMER PAVER PICTURE. My offer to repair all the pavers at a small service charge was met with NO FREE FREE FREE. That'[Member Information Removed] all I have to say. Please note that another Angies List service provider was also there when I was working --- he had a terrible time with her and she also trashed him. Both of us are service award winners."

Pete explained every step of the refinishing project before starting and answered all of our questions. All of my concerns were addressed prior to signing a contract. One the job began, he and his crew were on time and very professional. When the job was done, it was done right. We couldn't be happier.

Project went very well, was completed as promised. Very good quality. We did downgrade to a B on professionalism as the clean up of their daily work was not as tidy as we would like. They covered the walls of the house when spraying the deck, but there is still overspray that we now have to paint over. Overall we are very pleased and would recommend this company.

This was a great experience. We called Comfort Pools after seeing work they had done on our neighbors pool. Pete, the sales manager, responded to our call promptly, came over to look at our pool and offered advice regarding a solar heater, re-glazing and switching our chlorination system over to a salt chlorinator. He also helped us fix some minor damage to the pool. Within a week, he had his guys come on out start the job. The workers were professional, friendly and definitely had plenty of experience. The job was finished quicker than expected and with little fuss. I would most definitely recommend Comfort Pools to anyone for Pool Services.

I had several estimates over a two year time span and every company said it would be over twice what Comfort Pools estimated, as they claimed it would take as much equipment as a full size pool. Pete at Comfort Pools was not only fast but had some great ideas for us. Pete the pool guy was so upbeat and friendly that even the neighbors commented how pleasant he was. He worked with our time line and delivered what was promised. The pool looks beautiful! We could not be happier with the service and end product. I highly recommend this company!
