The quote process was great -- Dave was friendly and helpful; after emailing to setup an appointment, the entire process became an awful experience. The girl called and told me when they would be out; it was a challenge to try to work with them to schedule a time when I would be there. I was told to call early morning on that date to find out what time they would be coming out. It was raining a LOT that day and the man on the phone assured me that the job was on as previously scheduled. The sod was delivered by a sub contracted company that morning also by a friendly person. And that was it; there was no further communication by the company at all. Over the course of the day up through 8pm during the rain, I called at least 6 times and left 2 messages. I have still not received a response from those messages. They did not show up and did not attempt to contact me on the day of the scheduled appointment. The next day, apparently their team showed up on the job. Thankfully, my wife was home, and noticed that they were there working in the front lawn. We weren't expecting them, so our sprinklers were running and they decided to put buckets over them instead of attempt to contact us or even ring the doorbell! They installed the sod and left a bill with abhorrent directions on care. It simply said, 'water once a day' -- there was no recommended time or coverage or time of the day included. Several days later when it started to turn brown, I went to the internet to find proper care instructions that helped me save the sod.
Along with my payment to the company, I wrote them a letter detailing my experience -- I have never received a comment about that either. If they would have responded with an apology and taken steps to remedy the situation, I would have allowed that to be reflected in my review, but they had their chance to respond many times over and chose not to.
I only went with this company because their average rating was a B and they were close to my home, but it should be closer to a D.

Great crew, knew their stuff. Very informative when we asked questions, they really wanted us to understand and do the right things for the new lawn. Only negative was, the office did not return our calls when we had questions, it was like they had been paid, so, oh well!

Went very well I am afraid I called back several times with questions before work was even begun, I am a worry wart.  Dan responded to all my calls answered my questions, put my mind at ease.  The workers came did the work, and it all turned out, BEAUTIFUL!

I would not hesitate to call Lawn Pro's in the future.

Dan answered our call for service. He actually arrived a few minutes earlier than he said he would. We briefed him on our problem and let him check out the irrigation system itself. He found three major leaks and replaced nine sprinkler heads with the correct heads. We had had three irrigation specialists prior to this and they charged us for "fixing" leaks and changing sprinkler heads. Dan showed me the date on the sprinklers which was the original installation going back to 1993! There were also two lines that were broken and which he repaired. All of this work was supposed to have been done by these other contractors - they certainly charged me enough to have repaired the entire system.
Not only was Dan here on the job ahead of schedule, but finished the complete job in just over an hour. I highly recommend his company to anyone who might need lawn irrigation services. I certainly don't plan on ever using anyone else again; and I thank Angie's List for providing Lawn Pro's number for me. They are absolutely a four-star service.

When we arrived we were totally disappointed in what we saw. Nothing was done. There was a whole bunch of weeds and leaves. If somethings was done, it would still looked done 2 days later. We called to find out why and the guy was rude about it. He said if you're not satisfied with our business, you can find somebody else. All we wanted was for them to come out and look at what wasn't done and do it. If we had needed to pay more, when would've done that. He didn't want to hear that. He said he wasn't going to charge us but there's still money coming out of our account to them. We don't even know if they've been over to our vacation house to do the work they're still charging us for. They started out profession but in the end it went really bad.

I was at work but they managed to navigate working with my 95-year-old mother and very scary dog to get the job done.  He (I believe it was Kevin) was punctual and professional and my mother said very nice.  Our elderly neighbor asked him to look at his pump, which he fixed in a minute at no charge.  I have given the neighbor the Lawn Pro's card as he wants to have more work done (and pay for it).
I'm looking for more work for them to do!

 Their price was a bit higher than a couple other quotes I received but I liked the proffesionalism and promptness. I have since hired them to mow the lawn at onother rental property.

Dan, the owner, was very prompt at providing an estimate within 24 hours of requesting one.  The work was performed very professionally with top notch components.  Electrical work was tidy and organized.  I will use Dan again.

Dan arrived on time and quickly assessed and remedied the situation.  Our lawn guy had weed wacked through the electrical wire supplying power to the irrigation system manifold.  Once the wire was repaired and buried, Dan checked the system for any heads that were not working properly.  He replaced three heads.  Everything is working beautifully now and the whole visit took approximately 30 minutes.

The prices were fair. They were professional, and on time.

We were really happy with them.  The workers did their job.  They gave us a 10% discount for using Angieslist.  That helped us also.

Their subs were no prepared.  They refused any responsibility for inferrior sod.

We really liked the crew that came out to do the work for us.  Angel and his guys were very effiecient, knowlegeable, and polite.  We had them redo the zones in our sprinkler system, as well as add a bunch of heads.  We also had them add a bunch of trees, plants, and stone to our existing landscape beds.  They were wonderful!  The quote was off on the amount of materials needed for the stone, and even after ordering more, we still didn't have enough.  But we think that the way it was laid looks very good, and it was more a problem with the quoting than the labor.

Overall the crew was very professional, from the time they came out to review the system and provide a quote to completion and post evaluation.  They were prompt, took out the necessary permits, had a crew come out to check for buried gas and electrical lines, and performed the work as scheduled.  I was very pleased with the work and found the quote reasonable.  I would definitely work with them again in the future.

Overall, I was pleased. Timely, accurate work, parts available. Knowledgable about sprinklers systems.

The overall job went well even though the town could not find the shutoff valve.  The town worked with the repairman and we got the job completed.

The completed project is beautiful and well executed -- but to be completely honest we did have some communication issues.  For example, the initial bid for our project was $3800.00  which we assumed included everything.  But once the gravel was installed and the job was almost complete, we saw that there was no plastic edging between the yard and the gravel and when we asked why we were told it was not included in the price we were quoted. The cost for this edging and its installation turned out to be an additional $700.00.  This was unsettling to say the least.   Also the project was postponed a day and we were not informed.  

Overall, the work was excellent.  The quality was excellent.  The crew was friendly and very hard working.  We were very impressed with the gentleman who oversaw the placement of the gravel and the boulders.  And we are very pleased with the finished work  We would use this company again but we would be more careful to spell out every tiny detail in the initial estimate and would call the day before the project to make sure the schedule had not been altered

No appointment was ever missed. All dealings were professionally done. Detailed estimates were given and I was not pressured for a decision. I also got a 10% discount with Angie's List coupon.
Workers showed up on time and double checked the work to be done and this avoided  mistakes. Work was efficient and at a good pace. They would check with me during and after each job.
The sod was of good quaity and rooted well.  It was not the dry sod I have seen put down in some other yards. Follow up on the sod was done to ensure rooting.This was a good experience in all phases and the value was good. I will call Lawn Pro for any future landscaping jobs.
