"This potential customer sent a fax with details of the design he was looking to have us build. I priced the work based on his information at $7800.00. We recommended he make an appointment to come in and discuss design. He came to our showroom & sat with me to discuss some changes. Literally changed a wall mounted four drawer unit to two double door wall mounted cabinets. He eliminated LED back lighting behind the TV panel. I lowered the price by $800.00 for these two adjustments. When I told him the best I could do was $7000.00, he said "that's way to high and was ready to pay $4000." I told him we can't do it for that amount. Then he abruptly stood up and left without a word. No "thank you for your time" nothing! I suppose he was disappointed or angry that I was not chasing after him for his business; which led to his negative post. I am a straight shooter; I tell and provide my customers with the best way to build a unit, even if it is different than the way they believe it should be built. That's how I stay in business (35years). I'm glad he found it for $5900.00 somewhere else! I Wish him the best of luck with his project. Matthew Goldstein, President"
"Closet Wizzard Inc. is a twenty five year old company and is 5.0 star rated across the internet. I will just respond by saying we provided the installation that was discussed and diagramed out. I went into detail to make sure it was clear. In retrospect, I believe this individual may not have understood my sketch and verbal explanation of the designs (manslaining). She took pictures of my sketches. We had to forgo the 3D design service as she wanted delivery in 48 hours; she agreed to that. When my Installers suggested to her that it would be better if she kept the dog with her, in another room or in a yard outside. As we do not want to be responsible for her pet running off through an open door or getting hurt by being under foot as bulky items are being carried in. The customer went off on the installers and insulted them by yelling at them "her dog was more important to her than either of them and they should get out of the house". She basically said that she holds her dog in higher regard than the our workers coming to do the job, and they "insulted her dog"! Our Installers are people too! Well that is how the install started. We persuaded her to keep her dog in a safe place and we would send another team right away to do the job. The work was completed the same afternoon. When I called her at the end of the day to discuss her complaint I was berated, also told that she is "not paying the balance, and she had already contacted Visa and her bank to reverse the deposit". She claimed the depth of shelves were wrong and not what she ordered; contrary to my meeting notes and sketch. I couldn't hold back my aggravation and responded in anger to her threats of non payment and verbal abuse. I told her "to keep the units and that I would not change them to a deeper size as they were what she had agreed to". If she doesn't pay the balance due it would be a bargain to not have to deal with her again. Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."
"Thank you ? for the positive review?"
"Thank you so much for your positive feedback. The whole team works very hard to deliver a first rate product for our customers, they as I are always happy when our clients are appreciative of the work. Enjoy your new closet and storage systems. Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."
"WOW! This individual walked in yesterday to view our cabinetry. He was greeted by Eileen who answered his questions in detail about the three small wall mounted garage cabinets he was interested in, and we had quoted. Obviously he did not listen to what our we had told him prior at the initial meeting; or read the quote we had sent in writing with diagrams. It was indicated in the quotation that the color quoted was for WHITE. When he came into the showroom he asked to see colors; colored melamine cabinets are 10% higher in price than the white. (White is the lowest price point). Eileen explained there are about 18 basic colors and they are all the same price; then there are textured finish colors that are more expensive than the basic colors. He said that it is "Too difficult & complicated to deal with our company" abruptly turned and left our showroom. We are very professional, and have 32 years of experience providing custom built cabinetry to our clientele. But when people want a higher priced product at the price of the lower cost product we are not able to accommodate them......which leads some to post disgruntled comments & ratings. Sincerely, Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."

"Sorry for the delay of a week in you getting your initial quotation; also that there were not doors to cover the TV area. It is not common to cover a TV with doors today. This is because of the dimension (width & depth) of the new flat screen TV's. If your TV is 35" wide or smaller then you could do retractable doors on a unit that is 40" wide or narrower dependent on the TV width. The depth of the unit would have to be +/-24" to accommodate the doors and mechanism when they retract. Provided you would want a smaller sized TV then this option would be viable. I have reviewed the notes prepared by Jordan, and measures taken at your meeting. There was no TV there to measure at that time; Just a note that it would be smaller in size. To put doors that retract would be possible if the TV was a 32" diagonal unit. Swing out doors that you had discussed are not recommended as they will remain in front of the unit to the right and left of the TV area. This look is not attractive, and most clients would not be happy with it. Our policy is NOT to recommend anyone for drywall work & painting. Over the last 30 years in business we have noticed that sometimes referrals work out fine, but other times they don't. We do not subcontract - Never have & never will! We manufacture in house and our installation crews are salaried employees. We have earned a Super Service Award for the last four years because we care about our customers and the work we do. I am sorry that it took an extra week and that there were no doors in the area you wanted them. We always do our best to accommodate our client's requests, however sometimes we can't get everything right the first time on paper. When our clients work with us to tweak the design to the characteristics they want, the end result at completion is perfect. Again, Jordan & I apologize that the doors were not included originally or forth coming in a later sketch design; and through our untimeliness we paid the price of not earning your business. Thank you for your feedback, it keeps us on course. and best wishes to you in your closet renovation. Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."
The fit and finish is exceptional. The only issue occurred during the initial quote phase. The initial quote was significantly lower than the ultimate price because the company did not realize the cost of the top material that I wanted to use (quartz or caeserstone) so they underpriced that material. That was disappointing when we went to proceed to find out that it was $1-2k more than the quote. We ultimately sourced the top of the desk from a stone place where we had better selection and price.
Overall, the design is beautiful and it is a high quality product that looks great in our space. My only piece of advice is to make sure that they understand the costs of the products you want to use if it is outside of what they normally do to avoid a disparity between the initial quote and final cost.
They are very easy to work with and I would not hesitate to use them for our master closets when we're ready.
"I appreciate the positive feedback. We do out best to be competitive withe the stone product However we are cabinet makers first; which we do in house. When it comes to granite and Caesar Stone we work with other professionals and have to rely on their pricing to be competitive. No harm done, you job came out beautifully, the stone you chose looks great. Thank you Matthew Goldstein"
They did exactly what they promised and on time. I highly recommend
"Thank you for your positive feedback, we always do our best to satisfy our clients needs. I'm glad you like the job. Thank you, Matthew"

"I am sorry to hear that you rated us poorly. I remember being brought in on your job by the General Contractor, however as far as I knew all the closets and garage work that we performed were completed as ordered, on budget, and on schedule by us. The garage is even displayed on our website (1of33), as it was so nice and included R/D flooring, and metal door trim on white cabinetry. If there was a problem with the General Contractor, please don't let that taint our workmanship or service we provided. Sincerely, Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."
They said it was not on their work order, but no big deal, they could always come out and do a new shelf. So I paid them in full, and have now spent three months waiting for them take action. There is an additional item of an improperly glued and trimmed strip of laminate that needs to be fixed; it catches on clothing and will eventually tear off the shelf if not trimmed and glued down.
I called the rep the day of the job and he promised to stop out the next day with a fix. He then got busy and postponed to the following week. Then did not show and did not call. He did respond to my follow up email, sent three weeks after the no-show, saying he had to ask his dad how to proceed. No response for a month. Then I sent an email reminding him of me still being alive and asking how the plan was coming along; he said he remembered the job. One more month goes by and still no response.
I have given up, I'll fix it myself.
This has been a matter-of-fact transaction. I planned ahead and everything was confirmed in writing and in person.
There have been no arguments and no drama. I ordered upgraded materials and never asked for a discount. I recommended a relative of mine to them who will be arriving in town this winter to take possession of a newly built house that will require massive closet installations.
An outcome like this, with a service failure after an otherwise successful installation, prompts me to warn others not to expect anything from this provider (such as warranty work) after you pay them, and not to pay them in full until a few days after service is completed.
"Please accept my sincerest apologies to you for the delay in response to your after delivery service. Items like one additional shelf, as well as cutting back a shelf by 1" are easily remedied. It is disappointing to me that after completing a large quality job like yours with the fine finishing work of our professional manufacturing & installation team, that you were left with this sour feeling. Your request for after sale service of these two items fell through the cracks, and it appears that Jordan and our team has dropped the ball. I will utilize your negative experience in training to show our team what happens when "after sale support" is not followed through on. Even items like trimming back one shelf, and requesting an extra shelf, are important to each customer...this is how it can come back and bite you. I do wish you would have mailed back our "performance survey" which was sent with the warranty and final receipt; as the survey comes directly to me personally - I would have called you immediately to take care of this. Customer service is one of the most integral parts of my business, and that is why I have survived for 30 years with a great reputation, and continuous referral work. Sorry for your discontent, I will be in contact. Matthew Goldstein, Pres. Closet Wizzard, Inc."
"Thank you for your positive feedback on our recent work in your home. You installation was quite challenging with that special sewing machine built-in area. I am glad that it has worked out the way you anticipated. Thank you Matthew Goldstein"
"Dear Mrs. [removed member name], I see that you chose to rate a "B" even though we did not perform any work for you. From your rating grades it is based on our pricing for custom work you had requested. I remember your quotation well, it was for a pantry and a unique type of installation of a wood cap to the top of the half height dry walls leading down your staircase and at the top of your landing. This is a specialized installation of detail wood work, and it required a precise installation of trim and top panels to cap off the walls of differing widths. Remember price is an abstract number when it comes to this type of installation; I am sorry you never used us to perform the installation, as I know you would of been completely thrilled with the finished product. Best wished to you, Matthew Goldstein, President Closet Wizzard, Inc."
He really understands what works and what doesn't given his many years in the business. I have no doubt the design was the best it could possibly be.
The lead installer was very professional and helpful especially since our house was older and had a few weird angles and such given the many renovations/improvements over the years - especially in the laundry room. They cleaned the units, covered the screw holes, caulked when needed, etc to make it look really professional.
You immediately notice the construction is very substantial as they use 3/4" boards, nice solid metal hardware, etc.
My guess is we doubled our usable space in these three rooms and the laundry room is no longer an eyesore and the closets look great. I have no doubt we will get our money back on these when it comes time to sell AND get to enjoy them every day.
Not sure how I made it so long without having premium, yet cost effective, closets... Will not hesitate to call them for my next project.
"I just reviewed your post about our work and am delighted to see that everything worked out as planned. As you mentioned we were able to maximize your usable space despite the obstacles of venting, drop ceilings and odd floor plan. I love when a p,an comes together! Thank you for the positive feedback, Matthew Goldstein"
