AC Duct Cleaning

Stanley Steemer of South Florida came to our home to “clean” the carpets. Apparently, we were the first customers that received service that day, as the crew came from Port St. Lucie. When the service technicians left the carpets were very wet; our socks were soaking wet. The crew consisted of Jerard English, and Alejandro Pereyra. Supposedly, Jerard was a water remediation specialist. Although we called the Stanley Steemer office to complain about the wet carpets (still wet 6 hours later) , we were told a crew would not be able to come back that day. Sadly, because of the water that collected on the window seat in our bedroom, our cat Em me, ruptured her bladder as she slipped and fell off the window seat. Em had over $8,000 in surgeries and follow-up care, but because Em was a feline and not a human, Mike Fazzari (PSL Stanley Steemer franchise owner/operator, 772-370-5997) did not feel his company was responsible and was unwilling to take ownership for Em me's medical care. Eventually, after a few phone calls, Mike Fazzari came to our home to inspect our carpets. Mike admitted the carpet had several areas where Stanley Steemer applied cleaning concentrates that oxidized because they remained wet for too long a period and now they are permanently set. Mike said he would be willing, at no charge, to send a crew to the house whereby he would personally supervise the cleaning and emphasized he would get the carpets and stairs clean and really dry. We decided to sue Stanley Steemer of South Florida for the costs of the damaged carpet and the veterinary bills, CASE NO.: 312018CC000727, and their insurance company said they would settle the matter for $2,500. I even wrote a letter to the CEO of Stanley Steemer, Wesley C. Bates and he never responded; it appears he is not concerned about the reputation of his father's company. Eventually, we dropped the suit as it was emotionally draining for myself and my wife; not to mention Stanley Steemer’s attorneys threatened to file sanctions against our attorney and ourselves. My advice is stay away from this company and remember you get what you pay for. Stanley Steemer is not the same company that my grandmother used to swear by, God rest her soul. I hope this will help prevent headaches and heartache for anyone considering Stanley Steemer of South Florida. It is a shame that a company can come into your home with complete disregard for your property and loved ones without any remorse or consequences for their actions.

Technician was very polite and knowledgeable. Took the time to explain why my grout was getting dark and gave solution to fix problem going forward. Tile floors came out much brighter so it was worth having them done.

It was very expensive and they were late turning up. The could improve service with more punctual workers.

Their sales pitch for over 4000 of work was very difficult to understand because of all the add ones. I've been in. This sitiuation before wher a company says they will remind you of maintenance but we will have to see.

Not well! do not hire these people. A total sham. They force you into services you do not need. Our bill went from $220 to $2200. And to add to the pain, they left black fingerprints all over the vents. I called the next day to report our displeasure. It was Saturday so the representative assured me a supervisor would call first thing Monday which he did NOT. STAY AWAY from this company!!!

I've had better people before, I've had worse.

Fair job on the basics did not get the stains out. I used Clorox Oxi Spray days later and removed th stains on my own using Rug Doctor to extract

I used Stanley Steemer in January and they were very good.  I've used another provider before and they were good, but Stanley Steemer was offering like a special and I said I'll just go with them, and they did a great job. 

The work took less than an hour to complete. It was outstanding. They cleaned up completely.

workers were gentlemen. prompt and thorough. but the price is just too high. looking for a more reasonably priced (but equal quality) provider.

They quoted me a certain price and this is the south FL Stanley Steamer. I was going to call the corporate. They came in last Friday and what he did, I was quoted a certain amount. He upped it $175. I said to him "This is how much I was quoted. How much are you going to give me." He kind of mumbled it and so I repeated it and he didn't correct me at all. So he was bamboozling, he was bullshi**ing me. 

It's so disappointing the way people do business. There was a special running in the flyer. When I called up, they said they were going to give me $50 off. So they said $360. They came in and they realized I had 3 more vents than the ones that I give them. But I couldn't imagine $175 for 3 more vents. He kept saying well she gave you $50 more. So he was really aiming to get more money out of me. I asked him to do the dryer vent because we had just moved into this house and my clothes weren't drying. He said well I would have to get up on the roof. I said that was fine. He said but it's included in the price. But that was after, I thought it was the price that he quoted me, the $360 versus the $175 more. Maybe that's a good price, I don't know. Then when I asked him if he could put the cleaner in the vents that takes out the micro organisms and stuff, he said that's an extra $100. He had already upped me $175. I don't like that. I don't like that at all. 

He told me, it was under his breath, I thought he said me $335 and I reiterated $335. And he didn't say no no no it $535. I should have said am I hearing you right. He didn't say anything at all. He knew what he was doing. At that time I should have called corporate and said look he is upping it $175. That might be a fair price, I don't know. 

The price they changed it on me. I'm mad about that. The quality was ok. They did a good job. They left the place a little dusty and dirty. The stuff that fell out of the dryer vent was all over the driveway. They came on time and were here about an hour and a half. They wanted to come early because they had a cancellation. They called and said we'll be there in a half hour but I told them 1 o'clock is the earliest. I had to tell like 3 different people that. The reason for the C for professionalism was because he was muffled on the price until the end. I felt like I was taken. 

They were good, except they did have a problem with their payment method that which kind of skeeved me out a little bit. I felt like they were going to scam me, but the charges were okay. I don't have to much experience with air duct cleaning. I think they were on time. I gave them a "B" because they were like Oh my Ipad is not working, we can't take a charge card, then I had to write out a check.

they were quick to show up but then the add - ons were a bit crazy... everything seemed piece meal with them once they showed up

The thing is the only reason I even called them was because again it was the weekend I just kind of remember knowing them from the commercials on television and they came out. They came over the same night.

The only reason being is because the price being a little too high.
