I've been a customer for 4 years now. Since moving to Boca 8 years ago, this is my third AC company. The first two, I had constant issues with. And then I found Island Air 4 years ago. Since then, I wouldnt change a thing. Island Air has been awesome. They are extremely professional, responsive, always on-time, etc. My first experience with them was buying a brand new unit. Since then, it has been regular servicing every 6 months. Today is the first time I have had a "warranty" issue. Island Air replaced the capacitor no problem, for no charge since Im still under warranty. They did it with a smile on their face and didnt give me a hassle at all. Thank you to the Island Air team and Orlando (HVAC tech) who came out today!

Called in May when my a/c unit was blowing warm air. Made an appointment for the same day, but no one showed up. After taking time off work to be there during the window of time they said they would arrive, I called to find out when they would be coming. They had no record of my appointment. They set an another appointment for the following day. They sent a rookie who was constantly on the phone to his supervisor. He checked the freon and said it was low. Although I don't know much about HVAC, I know enough that low freon is a signal of a leak. He only checked for leaks in the compressor, not the air handler. He added 3 pounds of freon and said there was something wrong with the thermostat. Go figure! He spent the next 2 1/2 hour trying to replace the thermostat. Unsuccessful. More than 3 hours had already passed with literally nothing accomplished, so I said enough. I had other commitments. He said someone would come by before 6pm to replace it. Again, no one showed up. In July, I experienced the same issue. I called them again and they did send a senior technician who determined the evac coil was bad and needed replaced. He added freon so it would cool until they could get an estimate to me. He said the invoice for the freon would trigger the office to provide me with an estimate. Well--it didn't. Never heard from them again. Two days later, my a/c unit is blowing warm air again. I went to another company who replaced both the compressor and air handler the following day. Island Air is a horrible company who does not have qualified individuals on staff and do not follow up on their commitments. Run from this company.

They were superb, on time, and professional. They answered any questions. They call me before they get here.

the men were polite , and very clean . The price was acceptable . Was told about all the work they did and how every thing operates .

I've just (July 2020) had my Trane A/C replaced with a Carrier after twelve years of service. I've used Island air conditioning for both my current and former A/C installations and service. Even though the quality of name brand A/C units may change over time, the quality of Island has always been there. They are very professional and their salesperson Steve Ruud, who I've used both times, is outstanding and knows his products. I chose Island air originally after receiving several bids and doing a thorough investigation. They are bigger than a small shop, but smaller than a large corporation where you are just an account. I found their service personnel are exceptionally good and their office support personable and friendly.

The Service Agent (Jimmy T.) went above and beyond the normal clean the pan and filters service call. He adjusted the vents to increase air flow and cut down on hot spots.

Excellent I have a service contract with island air and at a regular service appointment it was recommended that I have them come and clean s part in the air handler. They came at scheduled time and because it tool less time than was needed they arranged to charge me half the price that was quoted. The technician on his own contacted his supervisor and suggested that I pay less because ti took less time. What a nice surprise and great customer service

They were wonderful. I still use them for maintenance. I would recommend them to friends and family.

Island Air Conditioning was excellent all around. Steve Ruud (owner) called me and talked me through my various options, what he recommended (sometimes when I asked him about something, he recommended a lower cost option), etc. It is nice when someone is not always trying to upsell and is giving you honest recommendations! Techs showed up on time, were very friendly and knowledgeable and took care to lay down drop cloths throughout and keep my entire home clean. After the install, I had a few follow up questions for Steve re: registering warranty, type and size of air filter and other AC configurations. He answered very quickly. It is greatly appreciated that once he had my money he didnt just disappear and not want to help anymore. Will definitely use them again to service my AC over the coming years and will recommend to anyone who asks me for the name of an AC company.

I called at 8 am on Monday and they were able to schedule an appointment for Caleb to come out between 9 and 9:30 am same day. Caleb showed up right at 9 am. He was professional and inspected everything and was able to complete the repair within 30 minutes.

Other a/c companies tried to sell me a new system. Island air was the only honest one. Performed tune up and a/c is working fine a year later.

The service technician was prompt, professional, and efficient. The air conditioner was repaired and serviced for what I thought was a reasonable price.

They provided quality service at a reasonable price. I have had the A/C unit for 8 months. Everything is working great. My FPL bill is considerably lower. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Island provided fair quotes for 2 Trane a/c systems. Replaced both systems in 1 day. Friendly and professional. Provided prompt warranty repair of a leak a few months later. Would hire again.

Everything went well. The technician was right on time and performed his duties quickly and efficiently and walked me through his work once he was done. We discussed the current state and the future of our ~10-year-old unit: so far, so good. I will be contracting them for its eventual replacement.

Another “air conditioning company” come out and made recommendations for very costly equipment to be installed due to mold found inside the unit. Island Air Conditioning came out, checked the unit throughly and cleaned the normal dust accumulation found on the 2 plus year old system. Not mold. The other company proposed we pay $3,000 for something we really do not need. Island Air Conditioning would charge $968.00 to have the exact Reme Halo system installed. Big difference. Again, this would be something we want, but don’t necessarily need. I can’t say enough positive things about the technician, Aaron Dea. He provided excellent service. Aaron was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and did a great job cleaning the unit inside and out. In addition, he was patient and explained everything in detail. I also need to give high praise to Lisa who works in the office. She is also very professional, provided great information about the company and assured me I would be very pleased with the service. I am more than pleased. Island Air Conditioning will have all of my business going forward. Thank you for showing that honest and reputable companies are alive and well in Southern FL.

Quick, efficient and new unit works extremely well. From representative who gave us initial quote to engineers who installed unit, work was first class. I had multiple quotes from other companies and this was best quote and most courteous people. Would definitely recommend this company.

Great. Technicians contacted me ahead of time, showed up on time and were very helpful. I even decided to get a service contract for maintenance based on the visit.

Technician disclosed that the unit was in poor condition and that a replacement should be considered in near future. An attempt was made to get unit up and running given the condo was uncomfortably warm. After adding a part and filling with Freon the unit kept us cool only for one day. In fairness the technician could not guarantee how long the cooling would last. In hindsight the money would have been put to better use for a new unit. They were great at coming on short notice at a time that was convenient to me. The technician was patient explaining our situation and didn't seem rushed. The company will be estimated a new unit for me and will let the list know how it turns out.

Went very well and we love our new Carrier unit installation. Island staff is very easy to work with.

Island Air was the total professional- showed up on time, fixed the problem with no drama and at fair price. It is such a relief to find a contractor who is the real thing. This was the first time we utilized Island but will certaintly not be the last.
