"I went to the member's house to fix his ac the same day that he called, we found that the circuit board was bad and needed replaced, I left his board in place so that he could still run his fan until we got the new board, I told him that I would buy the new board out of my pocket and that he could pay me for the service call for the primary diagnosis when I came back to give him the new board. I brought the member the new board at his work in boca raton after I took my time to go get the board and did not charge him for any of that. At this point he told me that he would install that night. He called me that night with questions about the board and that it did not match. The board was the correct board for the unit but was in a different shape and plug formation and also came in a box with directions on how to install in the unit and since he deals with circuit boards himself and said that he had experience in boards he didn't think that it would be a problem to install. With his extensive knowledge of electronics and circuit boards, he didn't feel it would be a problem. He called me that evening and said that it didn't look the same, he then sent me 2 pictures of the wiring in the unit and I told him that since it was taken with a camera phone that the picture quality was poor and I needed to come by to install myself but would charge him another hour of labor to install. The member did not want to pay the extra hour to have me install the board according to the manufacturer. It is true that I became sick for a few days but I could have sent someone else over that works for the business to go to his house and install the board correctly. When I finally contacted the member he stated that he called another person to come over and install the warranty board that I gave the member at his personal business in boca raton. Obviously the board I gave him to replace WAS the correct replacement board and he just didn't either know how to read the wiring diagram or how to install it. I called him and asked him to pay the initial $80 service call and he declined and said that he would not, at that point I asked him to give me back my board that I PAYED FOR cash so that I may turn it in for a refund of 35$ from the manufacturer. The board came about a week later, I turned in the bad board for reimbursement on my account, BUT to this day integrity ac and services inc. has not received 1 penny from him for A. The 80$ initial payment for the diagnosis of his problem B. any type of time reimbursement for going and getting the warranty board and delivery to his private office. C. Any type of thank you for helping him the member seemed to know about what was wrong before we got there, and he seemed to be a talented, and stand up gentleman, but after dealing with him, I came to find out that he did not pay us anything for either the service call or the time it took to get the board and delivery of it. I called him after he shipped me that burnt board back to the office and still refused to pay anything on his bill, and that he thought that $ 20 was sufficient enough. I'm glad that he can tell us what he thinks is good for him to pay, and still to this day we have received not 1 penny. We usually don't let this happen, but in this case he stated that he was in a tight position money wise and he took it upon himself to diagnosis the problem and fix it himself, which as we see, he was not able to without professional help. This was a overall sad situation of confusion and miscommunication which we never run into. And also a financially burdening learning experience which was on his part WRONG."
