I told them that the dealer said the bumper probably needed to come off. I did not tell them the estimate from the dealer. The owner reached his hand under the hood, went in and called to have a headlight delivered. I asked the usual price of headlights and was told between $15 - 25.00. I told him to go ahead. He went out to remove the old headlight and returned within 5 minutes, placing the headlight on his desk - no bumper removal or any other hassle. The part arrived about then and the owner replaced the headlight. total time - about 15 minutes. Total cost - $23 and change including tax and labor. This was less than 1/5 the estimate provided by the dealer. I have since had another headlight replaced with the same results. I would very much like to use this business again; however, He says he doesn't know anything about the hybrid system. I do plan to use him for other repairs whenever possible and I trust him to know his limits.
