They sent a crew of 5 persons to spend the day packing up my house. They completed the task with kindness and professionalism. When I unpacked I did not find one thing broken. Everything was packed with care and lots of paper! I would highly recommend this company. Never before have I had a move go so smoothly. The personnel worked hard with no complaint. They were obviously professionals.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVER!!! Horrible! The Florida end of this move was atrocious...and that's where the company is located. I used United out of Chicago when I moved from Champaign to Florida several years ago and all went well. What was damaged was covered by insurance- no issues. The packers provided on the front end are crucial to the move. If it isn't packed and handled properly- which mine was NOT...it cannot possibly make it through the move undamaged. The first pair of movers (they really needed 3 men but provided 2... that I sincerely feel they picked up off the street and likely offered a minimal wage and free dinner) literally threw things in the truck- I had to give items away to neighbors because they ran out of room in the truck...the movers who were to pick up the load the next morning at the warehouse in Deerfield Beach...and who were awesome...had to unload the truck and said that they were appalled when they arrived. They ultimately fit the entire truckload into a little over half of their same size truck....proving that the first 2 loaders had no clue what they were doing! I ended up with damaged items but felt okay because I had paid for the full coverage insurance. Moving into a high rise in Chicago with 1/2 the square footage from which I had moved (single family home with attached garage) meant pitching some things that were not important. I told the movers to just pitch some of the broken furniture because we moved in during torrential downpours and flooding (we actually moved out of Florida under the same conditions). Big Mistake- I should have taken photos of everything...but I had nowhere to store it. I decided to only submit a claim for the damaged original piece of art- a pastel valued at $4500.00. Everyone involved in the claim process seemed to agree that it was a small price to pay for such abusive handling of a fine piece of art. I only submitted the claim for re-matting. The actual pastel had become slightly detached on one side and crooked and the chalk from the pastel had been scattered onto the white matting- a result of very rough handling. It was not damaged on my move down 2 years prior because it was packed and handled properly. I researched framing places and found a highly recommended framing service to re-mat and repair for approximately $450.00- a steal! They declined the claim because they blamed it on age of the piece. I've spoken with the original framing company and they disagreed with Suddath's evaluation. I paid more than that for the full coverage insurance because I was told that it would cover everything...I've also always purchased that same insurance and have never had a problem...but I also never dealt with anyone like this company! And I incurred other damage that they did to a nightstand, TV stand, Bose Radio, 4000PT Stairmaster, smashed dishes- I was also missing some free weights which have never been found- None of the aforementioned were submitted on a claim. At the time, I was only concerned with the art....and thought that my being more than fair and understanding would be the Right thing to do. I learned another BIG lesson...the golden rule applies to all people and things but moving companies like Suddath! I strongly urge everyone to NOT USE SUDDATH Relocation out of Deerfield Beach, FL. They make promises that they don't keep- just bad business! I've been in sales all my life- I own a business and my father owned a business- have many friends who are business owners- small to very large- we would not be in business if we Operated the Suddath Way! I will do everything in my power to ensure that others don't fall prey to these unscrupulous people.

Suddath was very professional in estimating the cost of the move, which required pickup and delivery on specific days, as opposed to "within a three day window." The estimated cost was higher than other movers, but we accepted it because of the requirement of specific delivery dates.
The good news was that Suddath met the pick-up date. The bad news is that they did not meet the delivery date, which caused some problems on our end. Suddath (United Van Lines) also misplaced a couple of boxes. However, they were very professional in considering our claim for delay and loss, and ultimately provided a credit which we thought was fair.
We were especially impressed with the professionalism of their customer service, ranging from estimating the costs, to hand-holding during the move, to the considerate and quick response to our claim.

In 2010, we used this moving company to deliver goods that was stored in their storage facility after a move from NJ. They were great. We looked at different moving companies for this last move in June 2013 and went with Suddath because of our past experience and needed a large truck. They also had an Angies award. We were told by the gentleman that visited our large condo that we would need an 18 wheeler. We packed 99% of our things and were ready for the packers when they arrived. Unfortunately, they were shorted many boxes so we got off to a slow start. Day 2 went better and things seemed to move along nicely. Day 3 was problematic because they sent the wrong size truck. At some point I called the woman, administratively in charge of our move, and she did not return my phone call. She did check in the day before, but not when we had a problem. The packers and movers were very respectful and tried to please us. We did find some things broken, but long after we moved so we did not put in a claim. The day of the move, the truck was packed full with another small truck load sitting in the parking lot as we waited for another truck. When I complained multiple times that we were supposed to get an 18 wheeler they said we did have one, but there were only 10 wheels and the size of the van was not the large van that Suddath has. We would not use them again.

My relocation took five days; two days to pack, one day of moving out, one night and one day of storage, and one day of moving in. On days one and two, they packed up my house. I moved out of my home on day three. On day four, I had to finalize the contract on the sale of my home and the purchase of my apartment. On day five, I moved into my condo.
It all went rather smoothly until the move in day. They under estimated the time it would take. They also under estimated how they were going to get my furniture into the apartment. I was charged an addition fee because of this.

Based on reviews from Angie's List, I contacted this company to get an estimate for moving the contents of my 3000 square foot home to another home about 4 miles away. I have a lot of furniture (3 bedrooms, living room, family room, patio furniture, contents of a 2-car garage, and plants). The company representative, Dan, came to plan the move, arriving on time and being in every way professional. He was extremely knowledgeable and very courteous. He explained the entire process, viewed all of my things, and made an estimate, which was by no means cheap. I wanted packing included and he did explain that if, before the move, I packed some items myself, I could reduce the cost. During the following 2 weeks, I was able to pack some items myself and Dan graciously returned and revised the estimate. The packers, 2 very nice ladies, arrived as promised the day before the move, in uniform, and did an amazing job, particularly with my glassware and art. The company called me while the ladies were there inquiring if I was satisfied. On loading day, I received a call in advance from the move supervisor saying they were on the way and they did arrive precisely as scheduled. The supervisor explained what they would be doing, began the process, and left the 4 other movers there to complete the loading. This move required a tractor trailer. These movers were extremely polite and respectful and very meticulous. They protected all of the floors before beginning and managed to carry very heavy items down the three flights of my town home without even a scuff mark on the walls. They expertly disassembled my beds, packed 3 large flat screen TV's and removed legs from a sofa that otherwise would not have fit down the stairs. The company called on this day also to see if all was going well. I have moved several times in the past and was pleased each time, but these people were in a class above. Everything was done perfectly. The loading took 11 hours (Dan had estimated it exactly on target) and for that reason , it was necessary to leave my items on the truck in the company's yard overnight and deliver the next morning. I had the same good experience on delivery day. Nothing was broken, scratched, or damaged, and there were no marks left on the white walls of the new place or on the floors. They were willing to place furniture and rearrange it if necessary to my preference. Everything was reassembled perfectly. They had even transported a number of heavy plants, which they didn't have to do but did do as a favor to me. Again the company called during the unloading process to see if I was satisfied. At the end of the unloading, the supervisor returned and went over the actual charges, which were, to the penny, what Dan had said they would be. A few days later, Bonnie, who had been my liaison for the process, called to make sure all was well. If it were possible to rate this company higher than "A" I definitely would. If you are looking for a cheap move, go elsewhere, but if you want it done right and to be treated well, this is the one.

Crew showed up on-time and was extremely courteous. The driver brought 3 movers with him, so my 1 bedroom move went very quick. From arrival at Delray Beach to unloading at Boca Raton was only about 3 hours. They carefully wrapped the furniture, big screen TV, bed, and large wall hangings. While unloading, they carefully re-constructed the bed and put all the boxes and furniture exactly where I wanted it. The estimator, who had come out about 60 days before, has been in the business for over 20 years. He was the perfect sales person and knew the business inside and out. Spend a little extra and skip the "budget" movers and do-it-yourself moves. These guys are a class act.

Dan arrived on time for our initial quote. He knew his stuff and made me feel confident in his company. Unlike the smaller movers that I had contacted, Suddath could provide secure, monitored overnight storage for my truck while we waited to close on our new home. The smaller companies basically were charging me for a full day for the storage time, while Suddath only charged me $100 because they have the trailers to spare. The 4 man crew were amazing. They did arrive a little late because they had to pick up some special boxes for our art work but they called to let me know and were so apologetic! They took extreme care with everything that they put on the truck and with the packing that they did for me. On move in day they were on standby waiting for us to finish closing on the new house. They were at our new home within the hour once we gave them the go ahead. They had to start later in the day because of the closing but they didn't complain. Everything was accounted for and nothing was broken. We had a piano and heavy sleeper sofa that had to go to our son's house that is about 15 minutes from us and after a full day of unloading our truck they took the last items to our son. We paid for the time but even with that, Dan's estimate came in within about $100. Whether you're moving locally or long distance, Suddath is the way to go!

It went very well. The crew worked hard, fast and respectfully. Very professional. I used them for a huge moving (over 350 items) with a lot of antiques and extra- fragile items, and I was very satisfied with their service. I will certainly use them again and recommend to my friends.
They are not cheap, but it's good value for the money you spend.

My wife and I were really pleased with the entire experience. They came and did a quote ahead of time and the service provided matched the quote. The 3 guys that came were very nice and they did their jobs well. We had moved a few years before and used a different company and these guys did a much better job. They wrapped furniture that I didn't think needed wrapping. They took our baby's crib apart just to be on the safe side, then put it back together again. We have several low quality pieces of furniture that had already been damaged and they managed to move it all with 0 further damage. All-in-all, it was the perfect moving experience, so I definitely recommend them.

Suddath made this move almost painless! Tony De La Torre, Senior Relocation Specialist met with me to review the move and made a recommendation that cut the cost by several hundred dollars. The movers on the Miami end arrived on time, worked steadily until everything was loaded and even realized that I might have overlooked something. My move contact, Bonnie Botini, checked in to make sure everything had gone well and followed up just before the arrival date in Michigan. On the agreed arrival date, the truck got to the site minutes after I did and had the whole thing unloaded and arranged in a very short period of time.
I would highly recommend Suddath.

Everyone was very professional from the salesman, to the coordinator and the mover. Everything went smooth like clockwork and everyone was in contact with me to let me know the status of my move at all times. The coordinator kept checking in with me to see that everything was done properly. The mover delivered my goods a day earlier than planned which worked out great. I had a refund because my goods weighed less than anticipated and my credit card has already been credited with the refund. This is an outstanding company that you should consider using for your move. Everyone was very friendly and helpful with the move. They deserve an A+!
