In 1998, American Building Contractors was founded in Burnsville, MN with three basic beliefs: Always be punctual, Always treat our customers the way we would want to be treated and Always listen to our customers' wants, needs and concerns. As a result, American Building Contractors has grown to be one of the largest and most highly respected general contractors in the nation. In 2004, we opened our Florida office to help hurricane victims through the stress of filing property insurance claims and most importantly restoring their homes in a timely manner. In addition to insurance restoration, we offer complete exterior remodeling services where we remain focused on the trades which have made us successful: roofing, siding, windows and gutters. We are currently licensed in 44 States and we have had the privilege of helping tens of thousands of customers with their home improvement needs.

They were quick to respond to my initial inquiry and had good availability. The technician was very nice, explained everything thoroughly, showed me photos of his work, and did a really good, clean job. The assistants at the office were also very quick to respond to my needs for insurance purposes. I would definitely recommend them and use them again if needed.

Highly professional. Showed up when they said they would without fail. Explained what they were doing and why as project moved along. Work seems to be well done and should last. They didn't seem to cut corners on anything and seemed to go beyond the minimum required. Not cheap, but the job was quite difficult so I have no complaints.

After the roof, I was given a quote to do the job that was at a great price plus he had time to do it now. Therefore my husband and I said yes. When he completed the job, he showed me what he had done. Then he told me about another problem that would cost about $1000.00 to repair. Never told me about the second problem tell he finished the first job that did not take her long. Disappointed that he did not tell me about that problems before he did the first work.

It was refreshing to work with someone who could provide an estimate with confidence and detail. Both for the inital consult and the actual work, Nick was a professional and honest. He arrived early, too! (unheard of for this area!) He took many pictures of the work through the stages of repair so I could see what the damage had been, what was done and the finished result . Other than a little bit of noise, you'd never know someone was on my roof and repairs had been made. I would recommend this company again without hesitation.

I discovered a roof leak at about 6pm on day, went on Home Advisor and worked through the screens, asked for a phone call and received a phone call from ABC scheduler within a half/hour of my request. The roofer, Marion, was scheduled for the next day and showed up exactly as scheduled. Marion was very thorough and pleasant to work with. He diagnosed the problem and returned 2 days later for 4 hours of work which made the roof waterproof. He completed the job with an additional 4 hours of work two days after that. I think the charge was probably reasonable, but this is my first roof leak, so I don't have previous experience with roofing contractors. Marion was a pleasure to work with and I would definitely hire them again for my next roof leak.

I thought i had a roof leak. They came out and chraged ne 175 dollars to tell me its a plumbing issue after 5 min. Took the rest of the hour taking pictures that i was promised and never got. Tried to cal customer serive and no one picked up or answered the phone. I cliked on the link they gave and no photos. Wish i was told if it wasnt a roof issue there would be a price in the middle. I am editing my prior review to 3.5 instead I was contacted by customer service and they were able to fix the issue, and won my business.
