Loading took 4 and a half hours (boxes were already packed by us) and after the truck was loaded we were told they wanted a bank check but we could use a credit card if we paid 3% (not mentioned by anyone until then!) - one of the 3 loaders spent two thirds of his time in our bathroom. 12/23/09 We were called and told they would meet us at the new house at 3:30 pm, after several telephone calls saying they were stuck because of an accident on I75 they arrived at 5:30 pm and the unloading took them one and a half hours (to say they were flying would be an understatement) At 7 pm my husband was rushed into signing for the load (only time to check that all the furniture was here) and they left. As we checked our belongings and unpacked over the next few days we found the bottom half of the computer next was broken(they assembled it so it was not immediately visible), the control on one of the chairs was wrapped in duct tape and it was shattered and at least one box was missing. Since we had paid an extra $380.00 for $35,000.00 of insurance we assumed the problems would be addressed - instead we were told since my husband signed off they had NO responsibility and there were no boxes left on the truck (incidentally the movers had to borrow my husband's flashlight to unload). At his point I complained to BBB and they at least were able to make these people send me a claim form - because one of the items in the missing box was my mother's jewelry box with family sentimental jewelry they refused to pay any claim until a police report was filed - as we are a law enforcement family we know better than to file a time wasting claim - the bos went on the truck and never came off?) but I can honestly say if someone wants to move in Florida they should find a more reputable company.
