The work never was performed by this firm due to the exorbitant estimates by the rep.  Example:  To connect a male
electric plug to an  existing wire:  $37.50.  Quotes for the other items need were so outrageous I severed relations. My subsequent
requests for a refund or credit by Angie's List were ignored.

I got the part but they would never came back out
Called several times but they never returned to finish the small job...to this day it remains unfinished

Everything went well.  He was on time and reliable.

I have used them before. They have printed sheets of what each item cost. I knew exactly what I was looking at.

He was wonderful to work with, I had talked to a previous contractor who said that he could not do the deal however, when this contractor came out he said it was an easy job and got it done very quickly. I was so happy with his work that I've referred him to other people I know who need electrical work done.

He installed a fixture in the dining room. I thought he was a little expensive but otherwise everything went ok.

Marvin arrived on time, listened to the job that needed done, came up with a solution, explained the costs, began job and finished with me completely satisfied.

I believe you should get an approximate price from the vendors before making their services available to your customers.  We are just ordinary lay people and do not know how much these people charge.  The first quote the electrician gave me was $596, less the $200 Angie's deal, but which included a service travel fee of $59.  When I asked why I was being charged a service fee he crossed that off.  This left an amount of $396.  I told him that was too much.  Anyway, the long and short of it is that he said $200 was for the microwave installation and the remainder would be for the light fixtures.  He finally agreed to do all four fixtures, but said he was doing one for free.  I did a bit of bartering and got the balance to $250, which is what I paid.  My argument is that I didn't know I was expected to be paying out anything, which is why I believe we, your customers, should be made aware up front (when you offer these type of deals) of these potential charges and not be taken by surprise.

I purchased a $99 service through Angie's List (this is the first time I have done this).  It said provide would get ahold of me in a couple of days.  They contacted me 2/10 through Angie's List email box to schedule work the following day. I wasn't expecting the email through Angie's List email box so I didn't see it till way after the date.  I figured they would either call or email me.  I sent them a follow up email through Angie's list and I am still trying to connect or get my money back.  I would not have bought any services from Angie's List if I had thought it would be so complicated.  Who checks their Angie's List email box all day long?
