Great... all good ... may need a new water heater soon

The plumber was very nice. Very timely. Just the price seems VERY high. I was told of a $120 surcharge for Saturday, but the bill was $475? It was a 100 ft snake on a single story home. It took him 20 minutes.

All went smoothly. Professional and on-time. It's the second time we've used them in a year.

About 3 hours of work. Very focused, and thorough. Educated me along the way. Quality of work has been great. Friendly and courteous. Careful not to get anything dirty.

Everyone was very polite, helpful and responsive. They came out the same day even though it was the day after New Year's Day. Jeff and his assistant were both courteous, professional and cleaned up everything. They even took the time to explain how to get the most out of our new water heater. A+

I definitely wouldn't recommend Joe Hillman plumbers to anyone. My son dropped a toy and it clogged my guest toilet. Joe Hillman sent a technician to resolve the issue. The technician arrived on time, Looked at it for less than a min and said that the toilet will need to be snaked to retrieve the object. If not, I was to pay $79 for him to tell me this information. The snake was going to set me back another $250 and I'd still have to pay an additional $79 for the visit. I was already uncomfortable with this because I'd expected that snaking a toilet is part of problem diagnosis that in my opinion should've been included in the $79. After talking to the technician back and forth, we agreed on a total of $230 to resolve the issue. The technician went on to snake the toilet and then said that he needed to get some other tools from his van. He came back empty-handed and then announced two minutes later that he'd found a stone and the toilet was flushing. He also told me that the toy may have gone through the drainage system and it was the stone that was causing this clog. I was very suspicious because it was very unlikely that a "stone" would make it to the toilet. However, I trusted that this man knows his job and paid him $230 as agreed. The toilet was not used for 2 days and then we had a guest come in to use it. The toilet clogged immediately leaving us and our guest embarrassed. I called Joe-Hillman to report this and was told that they would send another technician to review it. Another technician came, looked at it for less than a min and told me that the toilet needed to be replaced. He didn't have the time to do it and also wanted me to talk to the manager about how much I needed to pay. I contacted the manager, who told me that he is extremely busy and will call me in an hour. Needless to say that he never called. I called in another plumbing company who replaced the toilet for $85 + cost of the toilet and did a fantastic job. Joe- Hillman is extremely expensive and incompetent in handling basic plumbing needs for a home. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody.

Wonderful. The faucet repair was not quite right and I noticed it the next day... I called and they came right back out to correct it. I always feel that the best way to tell how good a company is, is to see how they perform when something wasn't done right. They were exceptional in their handling of the matter. I've now got them as my goto plumber!

Called them up and they were able to send someone out the very next morning. I bought a new (Delta) kit to replace the (moen) leaking faucet, shower head, ect. The plumber came out, said he would have to come again tomorrow to retrofit the new faucet. Said it would take about 3 hours and cost $525 plus $79 for the estimate. Came back the following morning on time. Plumber Jeff was very professional and did a good job. Job took him less than an hour to do, clean square cut the drywall, cut the pipes, and soldered the new piece in. He did a good solder. No complaints on the quality of work, he even offered to come back and do the shower head and sprout for no extra charge if I can't do it myself. My only complaint is the price is a bit outrageous. I'll be doing the other shower myself now that I see how they did it. Probably should have shopped around for a better price, but it's done and the quality of work is good.

Very responsive when first contacted. I ordered the $810 water heater w/installation as advertised but asked for a specific upgrade, which involved a higher cost of course. Joe Hillman Plumbers was able to accommodate my schedule and the exact model of water heater that I requested. They showed up on time, the installation went very smoothly plus they hauled away my very old water heater. I am extremely pleased with the end result and highly recommend Joe Hillman Plumbers.

I phoned Joe Hillman Plumbers based upon the reviews they had earned on Angie's List. I contacted them on Thursday afternoon and they set up an appointment for the very next day. However, I received a phone call from Jean the next day. She informed me they had an earlier opening, which I could have if I wanted. I jumped at the opportunity and less than an hour later JJ showed up. I showed him the problem and he got to work immediately. He dug down, cut away the damaged pipe and installed a heavier (better) pipe and fittings. He tested for new leaks, there was none, and then refilled the hole, taking great care with the sod that was dug up. He was very organized and made sure everything was clean and neat when he finished. Throughout the job JJ explained each step of the process so that I knew exactly what he was doing. Before he left, he took the time to explain why I needed to keep an eye on the water heater, as it is 13 years old. We also talked about a couple of other items he noticed, which he had no obligation to do. JJ was there for 3½ hours and every moment he was "on the job". The receptionist, Jean, who took my first call was personable, cheery, and helpful. I felt that she really wanted to work with me. The price I paid included a 15% senior citizen discount.

Fine-Tony has the patience of a saint. I was a nervous wreck-especially about the water pressure issue, but he took one problem at a time and worked on it and explained everything to me. He is coming back to complete the work on one toilet.

Excellent. The Hillman tech, I think his name is Steve, arrived in a timely manner. He was very professional, communicative and clean. The job took about 3-4 hours, which was fine with us as we were confident he was doing a more than competent job. We would definitely use Hillman Plumbers again...highly recommend them.

Technician came out and through visual inspection found that a crack in the toilet was causing leak. The cost for the "service" was $200. The tech was there for max 25 minutes, I find a $200 charge for simply diagnosing the problem is not warranted. I then asked how much the charge would be once we got the toilet and tech said it would be another $200. Total of $400 to replace a toilet is outrageous!! We called service department repeatadly and simply asked to get an explanation of their price. We were told a supervisor would contact the tech and get back to us, unfortunately that never happened. We were hoping that we could at least get an explanation for the price and have them come back and replace toilet and maybe apply some of the firt visit's cost to the next. At this point I've given up on having that happen, disappointed.

Dave, the plumber was excellent, thorough and professional.

It was terrible. It took him two hours to tear the faucet apart and charged me, but wasn't able to fix it. We had to get an independent guy that fixed it in 15 minutes. He never followed up. He wasn't familiar with a simple solution to fix the shower sink.

Hands down the best experience I've ever had with ANY type service company......Tony is the an absolute prince and honest as the day is long...I expected to replace two toilets and instead was given a 2 minute fix on the both of them....the days of that type of honesty have long past...Tony and Joe Hillman Plumbing are the exception......thanks so much guys.....Steve Miiller, Parkland Fl.

The plumber showed up on time, knew exactly what he was doing and fixed the problem. Not only that, but he looked at our AC and hot water tank and suggested a quick repair on a pipe. He was extremely qualified and didn't price gauge.

Joe Hillman is no longer serving Miami. They stated "we don't have the manpower to serve Miami Dade"

If they weren't taking new clients... why answer the phone and waste 15 minutes of my time mostly on hold! Not at all a good experience, you are screened by Virginia, must be the wife, relative, or signiicant other of the bossman!!! I'm thinking I saved my $2800.00 for someone who needs the business. Other plumbers have given me quotes over the phone, but, I am not adverse to a technician coming out and making it a more specific endeavor. Just goes to show you how much a personality issue can cost a business good income.

The guy was very helpful and explained exactly what he was doing and why. He made recommendation for other items to do before they became pricey repairs. Unfortunately, he didn't carry the part I needed in truck and had to go pick one up, which I believe is why labor was so high. (My husband asked later why the service fee wasn't applied towards labor.) Breakdown - Service Fee $59, labor $200 and part $40. Service call was scheduled between 10am - noon. He arrived a little before 1pm.

They did not call to confirm they were on the way. A maximum 2 hour job took 5 hours and they charged $700. WAY over priced and took way to long to do a simple job.

It was labor day at end of day, I had been working on some plumbing inside the house which required me to turn off the water coming in to the house. After I finished and went to turn on the water back, the valve wouldn't work. Called Joe's Plumbing, they got to my house promptly, replaced the main water valve, and we were set.
