Description of Work: I wanted to know if there was anything wrong with my chimney. Joe came right over and could tell me the chimney hadn't been used (and the house was built in 1985). He put a covered grill on top in place of the piece of asphalt that had sealed the opening.

Description of Work: Although I can see it happening because we're all human, he did not show up to the appointment, and when I called an hour later, he admitted that he had forgotten the appointment. He offered to make it up to us the next day, but we declined. Nice guy who responded to contact speedily, just didn't come through.

Description of Work: I noticed the chimney on my new house was not functional and I called Joe he came as promised and for 65$ he went on the roof and diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately the chimney was damaged during Wilma and bedded about 1500$ worth of parts and work and I had to postponed it but I liked the professional and I will call him again to fix it when I am ready

 + 0 moreI was looking for a chimney repair company, which is what Joe does. There are many roofers that offer service but that is not their specialty. He came promptly, explained what needed to be done, gave us the estimate. The $75 charged for the visit was applied towards the repair. What I liked about him is that chimney's is his specialty, so he really knows about it. Some big roof companies try to push you other services that are not related to the chimney. Even if we didn't do the job with him, I don't think $75 service charge is a lot to get the expertise of a real chimney repair company.

 + 0 moreWhat he did was ok, but I thought that $75.00 was a bit much to pay for this evaluation considering that he would have only charged $115.00 to clean out the chimney had that needed it. He also left the extention cord on the outside patio and plugged into the house with the patio door ajar. That could be an electrical hazzard in the rain.
Description of Work: He came over and looked at the bar b que chimney,borrowed an extention cord,, went up on the roof and told me that the entire installation was wrong when the house was built. He recommended me to another place who might be able to help me.,

 + -1 moreAll in all he did a very neat and complete job. He showed me that the chimney was not as dirty as I thought it was, and that it was in good shape. His price seemed resonable and honest. I will call him again when needed.
