Frank did an excellent job! He was timely and very clean. I thought I would have to clean the room after the ceilings were cut but he brought the room right back. When asked to install something else, received a fast quote and he returned with the parts quickly and installed it very quickly. I would recommend Frank very highly and this provider as well.

It started off a little rocky but after some minor adjustment in scheduling the overall experience was excellent. The electrician that came out his name was Frank was extremely professional and helpful. My experience went so well that I plan on using them again in the near future to do some electrical work at my house this time or anytime I may need to have some type of electrical work done.

The work he did was done right. The bulb replacements, sensor replacement and parts replacement.

They were very thorough. They asked which outlets I wanted operating - I had a choice of 6, I think. Then they tested to be sure they had the correct circuits and put the box and accompanying outlet right next to the regular outlet box. They worked quickly. They were friendly and left the place clean.

The provider did a good job but the statements that without client assistance, it would have cost more made us feel uneasy about the offer versus what the real cost would be. I would think twice before using them again for this reason. I do not like surprises when it comes to additional costs when I have already prepaid for service. The date of service is an estimate since I do no remember when it was provided and how much I paid for the outlet in addition to the installation.

They did my house and my sons in a timely and quality fashion, only hang up was not having a surge protector till the next day.

i Well, David seemed like a nice guy. He first gave me a quote of approx. $500 to run the electrical for my spa. It was a good price so i went with him. I also needed a few other items done around my house so i figured this company was honest and fair priced. Next thing i know there are 4 guys in my house, 8 hours a day for days and days. Than he presented me with a bill that was out of site! They charge $90 per hour, per man, and I feel they spent MUCH more time and used many more men then was actually needed! I feel he OVER CHARGING ME LIKE CRAZY!!! BTW: if you live in a nice big house that's expensive LOOK OUT! I would NOT use them again.

The service turned out well. They did what they said they would and there was no mess. I called them as soon as I purchased the Big Deal and they had had installed within days. I was happy with their service.

They arrived on time, introduced themselves, and began. About 45 minutes later, I noticed that they were making some repairs to the some landscape lights. At this point I went and asked them, whether that was included in the minimal amount that I had already paid through Angie's List. He didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I then called the company and explained what I saw, and asked what the men were supposed to be doing. The woman on the phone stated that they were only supposed to be evaluating for problems and suggesting repairs, as well as offering an estimate on the suggested repairs. I told her that he had already started doing the work. Eventually, I agreed to some of the repairs and was happy with the work completed. I don't believe that this was done as a scam or to be deceptive at all. This seemed to be a miscommunication due to a language barrier between the worker and the company. The worker didn't seem to know that he was only supposed to evaluate for problems, not do the actual work without getting the customer's approval.

DJ Electric was good. Their estimate was expensive, so I'm not sure I'll be using them.

The serviceman from the company arrived and explained that the service including the free surge protector was for an inside electrical panel only which the advertised deal did not specify. I had already paid for the deal and need the work done. Therefore, I paid the additional nearly $700.00 to have the work done. The first serviceman had to leave and was replaced by another gentleman who completed the job in the pouring rain. I am satisfied with the work, I just wish the deal would have specified for inside only because I probably would have waited and investigated other electricians for more competitive rates for the job.

We purchased a Big Deal from DJ Electric for $725 for the installation of a transfer switch. They were nice enough to send someone out to our house before we bought the coupon to make sure we could safely connect our (fairly old) electrical panel to the transfer switch. Russell from DJ Electric came out this morning to install the transfer switch, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. He was professional and friendly and did a great job. Our experience with DJ Electric was great from beginning to end. Angela at their office was very responsive and made sure all our questions were answered, and Russell did a fantastic job during the installation. Happily, there weren't any loopholes attached to the coupon, and we really did get a turnkey transfer switch fully-installed for only $725 as promised. We would definitely use them again.

Very prompt and friendly service. Very reasonable. I inadvertently overpaid the installer and was informed by the office and promptly mailed a refund check. I am very pleased and will definitely use them again.

Purchased a Big Deal for DJ Electric. Installed an exterior electric outlet for me. I had some other small items that I asked if he could do while he was here and he said yes. He explained how it worked and what he was doing. He did a good job.

It went very well. They did the service about a week after I purchased it. I would use them again.

When I learned last year that my Federal Pacific electric panel would cause me to only be able to have insurance through Citizens (the state-funded insurer of last resort), I decided I wanted to get it changed. I asked a friend who is an electrician about it. He estimated (without seeing my current panel) a cost of $800 - $1200. I wanted him to do it, but he seemed to be too busy to ever get back to me, so when I saw this special, which was within the same price range, I took it. It's only because it was in the middle, and not near the $800 price, that I gave the price a B rating. Once I purchased the deal, DJ's Electric was very prompt to contact me about an appointment, both with an email, and then a day or two later with a phone call, since I had not yet responded to the email. All contacts were courteous and professional. On the day of the appointment, the workers called me en route, to tell me they would be about 20 minutes later than scheduled, which was fine. Two workers arrived as scheduled, and began their work. One minor criticism is that in the middle of the day, one worker asked me if I had any AAA replacement batteries for his light. I did have them, but he should be prepared with his own extras. The whole job was done well. The workers were friendly, and answered questions when I asked. They cleaned up their work space. My only suggestion, is that, with a job such as this, the company needs to be sure to give the customer an estimated time frame for completion of the project. It was David, the company owner, who called me and scheduled the appointment. Neither David, nor the office manager with whom I spoke a few times, ever gave me a time frame. I was assuming that it would be a 3-4 hour project. Mine ended out being 10 hours, and most of that time with the electric to our house being off. (The workers told me mine was a bit more difficult, and that usually it takes around 7 hours.) We adjusted ourselves accordingly, but had we known ahead of time, we would have prepared ourselves differently. Overall we are pleased, and glad to have the new panel. Based on this experience, I would recommend DJ Electric.

For quality and professionalism below, I put those grades for the repairmen. We purchased an "Angie's List Special", 2 hours of electrical service for $99; the work we needed done took less than 1 hour; we were charged for the hour at the standard rate, charged for a service call (because the job was for less than 2 hours) then the $99 was applied to the total; even though a credit was reflected on our receipt, when we called back for another job and to use the credit, we were advised that they did not give credit for unused time; so in effect, we spent $99 for 1 hour of electrical service; when we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were advised they would do whatever it took to "make it right". We scheduled another job, which was also less than 1 hour; we were charged for the hour (again at the standard rate), charged for another service call, given the small credit from the previous job, then billed $45 for the balance.

He checked the breaker box and got one of the breakers fixed. He put some plates on some switches and a few minor jobs like that. The work was fine, it was just what I needed.

THE WORK PERFORMED WAS GREAT.... I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE FACT THAT SOME UNITS NEEDED PARTS AND THOUGHT THEY WOULD RETURN TO FIX THEM (FOR ADDITIONAL CHARGE) THEY NEVER DID. PERHAPS I MISUNDERSTOOD. I ALSO REQUESTED FOR AN ESTIMATE FOR ADDING LANDSCAPE LIGHTING TO THE FRONT YARD (WHICH HAS NONE). I WAS TOLD THE OWNER WOULD COME TO SEE THE PROPERTY AND GIVE US AN ESTIMATE. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. THE HOLIDAYS CAME AND WENT..... I WENT OUT OF TOWN FOR JANUARY AND NEVER FOLLOWED UP. AGAIN, NO PROBLEM WITH THE WORK PERFORMED, JUST SURPRISED THEY DIDN'T PURSUE MORE.

The original technician arrived late - three times - outside of the scheduled appointment window. The first time I ended up re-scheduling because he was going to be 4 hours outside of the appointment window. The same technician was late on the rescheduled appointment and a subsequent appointment. In the end he did replace the inoperable outside outlets and made repairs to a couple of landscaping lights. He left a cover off of one of the landscaping lights in the rear yard. He did not return the next day as he stated he would to hang the chandelier. I called the office, the young lady was apologetic. The owner was very personable and professional when he came out to assess our additional lighting needs' When he observed the missing cover - he immediately replaced the cover. He promised that a technician would return to put up the chandelier that the original technician did not want to install-his words not mine. In the meantime the outlets that the original technician installed failed requiring a go-back appointment. Apparently the new outlets were defective. The new technician came out twice and each time he arrived on time, was polite and professional. He was truly interested in the job and took pride in his work. The company was very quick in correcting and responding to the snafus. The ratings would definitely have been higher had the original technician been punctual, responsive and the quality of work better. Overall experience is just shy of a B rating.

The owner of DJ Electric scheduled an appointment, arrived on time, walked the property and took photos. He discussed the basic plan with us, indicating where he suggested lighting and the type to be used. He later sent PDFs of the photos with designations of exactly where the lights would be placed. He also presented a written proposal for the work and his staff followed up email inquiring about our response. We decided based on overall cost to defer going forward with the project at that time. If we decide in the future to do the project we will call DJ Electric as their price appeared to be comparable to others who submitted bids.

It turned out fine. I told them that I did not like the way the Big Deal was worded because you could not use more than one coupon for the same service. I purchased two coupons.

Electrician had a winning personality and did the job efficiently.

They sent two people out to do the work even though the deal was for 2 hours. The owner said they would send two people out for 1 hour. They completely took my door bell off and they did not do what the Big Deal said. The work was unsatisfactory and I would not use them again. The guy that came said he was training the other guy and I felt like they should have done more than one hour of work because of that.
