Very expensive moving service. $13,800 to move from San Diego CA to Las Vegas NV is excessive IMHO. Please do your homework before making a choice about hiring a moving company. 15% fuel service charge, really? I know fuel is expensive now, but there is no way that the fuel used for this job was $3100. Charges me $300 for TV boxes when I provided the boxes myself. And I hope the packers enjoy the change bucket that is missing from my shipment. Thatâ s right, the packers decided that the gallon container with spare change was their tip as it is nowhere to be found once delivery took place. Run away as fast as you can from this company! Now letâ s get to the payment scheme. First part of the payment is 30% of the job and it was fine to pay with credit card due upon scheduling. When picked up, 30% more in CASH. Anything else will incur a 5% surcharge! This invoice came from PayPal and to my knowledge they do not charge 5% for processing credit card transactions. And the upon delivery the remaining 40%, again in CASH. Should have just rented a U-Haul and done it myself and save about $10,000! Very expensive lesson learned!

Mouse Poop and Cockroaches - Please read why this was an awful experience: The Movers Did 100% of all packing! - Under Estimate Total Square Footage to give you a lower price and you get hit when they are there. I went from 350 square fee to 600 square feet an price almost doubled - They were going to store my goods for two months. Once they had the good they raised the price 50% - When we receive the belongings, they are wrecked. They were treated poorly, and the brand new boxes now had oil stains, mouse poop in the clothes, and cockroaches coming out of boxes. - I called over and over to try and get some compensation and they offer $125 on a $5,000 move where we had to get all clothes cleaned and the breakage of fragile items was severe. RUN AWAY!

Negative stars (Actual Customer) Fake 5-star reviews have returned! All bad reviews are real life experiences. 5 star reviews are not. They spam multiple fake 5-star reviews back to back. Pathetic. No one writes good reviews for this company. Check BBB for complaints. Yelp has removed the warning, but check how many reviews "are not currently recommended by Yelp". All fake 5 star reviews that were spammed to Yelp. I contacted Direct Relocation Services on 5/11/2023 for a quote on a move from Bradenton, FL to Denver, CO. This company was one of many who contacted me after filling out an online moving form. I spoke with Jorde about the specifics of my move. He provided me with their DOT number so I could verify that they are a carrier. This gave me the peace of mind that they were a carrier and not a broker. I requested that my belongings be picked up between 30th and 31st for a delivery on June 12th. Jorde said that a pick-up on June 1st-2nd would be better for a delivery on June 13th-14th. I agreed to this change feeling that I would have my belongings on time after I moved to Denver. I was also told that my belongings would be in storage for a few days before the move. It was NOT disclosed to me that my belongings would be removed from the truck, placed in their warehouse, and me loaded onto another truck for delivery. Everything went wrong on June 1st. The movers called and said that they could not make June 1st-2nd. They wanted to reschedule for June 3rd. I was not available that day so I requested June 4th. I was told that they would call me with an arrival time. I received no call. I called them to verify pick up and they said they could not make June 4th. I e-mailed Jorde about my concerns which was left unanswered. The pickup was rescheduled for June 5th. June 23rd (9th business day): I call to find out where my belongings were. Maria reiterated that they had 2-21 business days. I was now informed that the â First Available Delivery Dateâ is not what it means. It means â the first day we will even think about moving your belongingsâ . This was NOT explained to me before signing the contract. June 30th (14th business day): I call again. It took multiple phone calls to get through to someone about my move. Maria reiterated the 2-21 business days and told me that they would be working on the Colorado route next week. July 7th (18th business day): I call again. I cannot get through to anyone. Maria does not answer. Taylor does not answer. I eventually speak with Andrew. He told me that the Colorado truck was ready. He was looking right at it. They just needed a driver. He told me that it would leave in 1-2 days and to call back later for an update. I mentioned that the 21st business day is approaching and wanted to talk compensation. He assured me my belongings would be leaving soon and we can talk compensation later. July 11th (20th business day): I call again. I speak with Andrew. There was an issue with the driver so the Colorado route ahs not left yet. He admitted to eating his words. They were working on the issue to have the Colorado route move out ASAP. July 14th (23rd business day). THEY ARE LATE. 2-21 business days have passed. I call. All I get is â The contract says we have 30 BUSINES DAYSâ . July 17th (24th business day). I call again. I get the run around. Andrew now denies saying anything. They have 30 business days. I am only owed $30/business day after the 30th business day. Taylor claims that they are working on it. This company has been â working on itâ for weeks now. My belongings are not on a truck. It takes four days to get to Colorado. I do not have my hopes up that it will make it on the 30th business day (scheduled for June 25th). Taylor even accused me of making â threatsâ because I said I was going to the Better Business Bureau. Taylor will lie. Andrew will lie. The owner will lie.

"Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] signed up to move with us and was informed of the delivery time frame but unfortunately misunderstood but after reiterating how it worked understood his misinterpretation. Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] had a very small move going from FL all the way to CO and his move was right in the middle of the summer busy season so unfortunately took longer than anyone would like it to have taken but we kept in contact with hm the entire time despite his claims of not being able to get in contact with us. We made the mistake of giving him too much back-end information and informed him on two occasions that we expected his shipment to be loaded on a truck and sent out on its way to him and when those plans unfortunately fell through, he assumed we completely made it up and were lying to him which we would never do because that would clearly cause way more issues than anything. In fact, we typically give blanket answers and avoid telling clients their shipments are going out until they are physically on the truck because there are many factors that come into play in logistics like Weather, mechanical issues, other jobs being bigger than expected among other things that can derail routes and schedules and ultimately force us to pivot. Unfortunately, this happened not once but twice so understandably Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] began to think the worst and thought his items were missing instead of innocently delayed like they were. Because real estate transactions were at a 40 year low our business was so slow that we were forced to break our lease and downsize one of our facilities and have been dealing with a baseless legal battle that will soon be settled and has zero barring on any client in any way, Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] began to assume his items were not in our possession. The owner was informed of the two missing delivery windows and took over the file and provided his personal cell phone and spoke with Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] almost daily. Provided clarity on credits and delivered on every single promise including getting his shipment to him before a trip he was going on. Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] even thanked him for working so hard on his move and delivering on his promises. Including pictures of the truck and the load on the truck and a credit for most of the move ultimately costing the company money rather than us making any money to right this wrong. On the day of the delivery Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] vanished. The owner reached out to see if the delivery went well and to see if there was any damage, but he never answered. At one point his wife messaged the owner on linked in so when he couldn't get ahold of Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] he reached out to her to ask her to have him call him to address any issues because Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] has refreshed his review every single day for several months so obviously as a company we have been trying to get a hold of him to see what we can do to address any damages or anything because clearly there is an issue that needs addressing. But oddly he just keeps refreshing this review for apparently no reason considering he will not answer any calls or messages. We urge Mr. [Consumer Name Removed] to contact us regarding his claim that he had damaged items so we can see if we can come to a mutual solution to his issue."

My movers were excellent. and the only reason I would consider recommending them with caution. They worked fast and carefully. Will was great discussing pricing and working through the inventory list. Communication was poor. I scheduled a month before my move, but did not hear back from them until the day before my scheduled move day. I did reach out by email a few times, but never received a response. My move window was Wednesday - Thursday I discussed the final inventory on Tuesday afternoon and was told I would receive an arrival time from scheduling soon. I was expecting the next day as I gave them a deposit for that day and reserved the elevator at my condo. The email I received an hour later was for Thursday. When I questioned this, I was told they had a 2 day window, and Thursday was my "rain day. " I was told my scheduling that they would arrive at 8 am Thursday. By 12 noon, no message, no movers. We finally talked the office and they said he would be there in an hour. At 2 pm, we had not received any call rom the driver. Multiple calls later, we were told they would be there at 4pm. Since my condo only allows move-in and out between the hours of 9-4, we were put on the schedule for first thing Friday morning. 8 am. Guess what?. No call, no movers, We talked to the driver and he was hours away doing another job. They finally arrived after 12 pm. The office sent an additional mover to help and they finished at 5:30 causing me extra costs for violating the move out rule. I am happy I was moving into a house because if it was a condo, my move-in would have been delayed until until the following week. I would consider using them again, only because my initial call with Will was informative and the pricing held true, and because their movers were exceptional. The office staff needs improvement.

Do not ever use this company. They forced me into pick up a day earlier than I wanted so I had to spend money for a hotel my last night in Georgia so I could finish my contract. They kept my belongings from 6/29 until 8/13 when I requested my things be delivered on 7/10. Andrew talked to me as if I was nothing. Then when I called after 2-14 business days after I requested delivery they still could not give me a date and that was on 7/28 and I started my new contract in Mississippi on 7/31 with no clothes to go to work in so I had to pay for a hotel all this time plus buy clothes for work. Then after delivery on a Sunday I called the office to ask for a partial refund fory inconvenience again Andrew tells me that the office is not open yet and hell will look at it and call me back and here it is 24 hours later and he has lied again. So at this point I have reached out to my attorney. No one should ever use them for moving purposes and the company needs to be removed from this platform. Not to mention they have damaged my brand new furniture.
