Communication was great! Moving from the fourth floor with no elevator facility is challenging, but they made it happen! They wrapped all the furniture with plastic wrap. They worked hard for 3.5 hours straight with no hiccups or issues. They were fantastic! I would refer this moving company to anyone.

Very easy to set up, and the information provided and ease of making contact for queries was excellent. Good value for an excellent job. Golden service. I would highly recommend using them.

I’ve moved twice with International Van Lines, and this last time was by far the best. I’m incredibly satisfied with the service, but the movers were A++++! The movers were very curious and helpful, and they were mindful not to scuff the floors or walls and respected all of our things. We had a lot of IKEA furniture that they had no problem putting together, making this a smooth move.

IVL sold our move to another company the night before loading. Once the company arrived to load our goods, we were asked to sign a new contract agreeing to an extended period of our goods being stored in a warehouse, and raising the price significantly. Given we had limited time to vacate our home, we agreed to continue with the move. Now that the goods have been loaded and stored in their warehouse, we find out that the movers use their trucks to load up goods but they do not have a good plan for delivering goods. It has been almost 2 weeks since our move and still there is no update on the plan for delivering our things. We continue to sleep on the floor while waiting for this company to deliver our goods. There are other nightmarish stories online of how poorly the company treats customer belongings. I am disappointed in the lack of customer service for a company that purports itself to be 'the best national moving company of 2021'. Buyer beware.

I have had a nightmarish experience with International Van Lines. On August 10, 2020, I contracted an international "door to door" move of all my family's belongings from California to Ecuador. Our property was loaded onto a shipping container by the moving company on September 10. As of December 15, 2020 we have not received our shipment and IVL does not have an estimated delivery date and we received a fine from customs because IVL abandoned our importation process. We have hired a lawyer and investigator and uncovered multiple errors during the importation and shipping process that have caused more than 70 days of delays and fees to third parties of over $150 per day. We have incurred more than $15000 in storage fees to date and will likely incur an additional $10000 in expenses to recover our property. International Van Lines has consistently obfuscated their errors including when they violated their agent's policies ordering the container shipped before receiving approval from their agents an Ecuadorian Customs, thus causing tens of thousands of dollars in additional damages to me, the customer. Beware.

WORST HIRING DECISION WE EVER MADE! Our domestic household move with International Van Lines ended up taking 31 days, 7 to 8 truck loads, and cost almost twice the original estimate, when you add in the three-week forced hotel stay while our goods were held hostage in an undisclosed storage facility, after we had sold our house. It was a nightmare from start to finish. Our belongings were three times held hostage while demands for more money (sometimes cash only) were made. Our things were damaged, and some are missing. There was no inventory control--we even ended up with someone else's belongings, and nothing was done about that, though IVL was informed. The promises and guarantees made my IVL when we hired them were all broken. Our move was supposed to involve one truck and one trip across the country. That turned out to be a joke, but not a funny one. Communication was horrible—inefficient, rude, and unprofessional--throughout. Before the nightmare was even over, they first offered us money to be quiet, then threatened to sue us if we spoke out about our experiences. Such behavior certainly explains their good online reviews. By the way, we have all this in writing. I've never experienced such deceptive and/or incompetent business practices in my life. This company isn't even really a moving company--they just broker other people's trucks--even short-term rentals--and then maintain no control over what happens next. I called for a quote and the provider did a computer review of the house based on the pictures on line for the house sale. A representative did not come to do and estimate. I was quoted a price for aroung 6000.00 as I was getting a discount as my quote was for a cancelled december client. The move was for July 2017. I was also scheduled for storage for a couple of weeks until new home closed. Men came to load and pack at 1-2 in the afternoon. They finished at 2 am. All was loaded i a u haul type truck. I was told that I had more than expected and they were going to charge more. When it was time to deliver I was quoted 8000.00 more. Damage to property was significant and attempts to resolve my self did not work , with a lawyer did not work and going through the requlatory body AMFA was a waste of time. They held my stuff hostage until I paid . This was a shameful and dishonest rogue performance by what was supposed to be a reputable company. I waited until now to disclose and am still paying for the move after 6 months.
