Tom's Sod Service Inc

We had used Tom's Sod previously so we called asking for a price for the sod replacement that we needed to have done. I placed three calls and and email to Tom's Sod over the period of a week. One morning I received a call from a man at Tom's Sod asking me to confirm my address (which I had given them 4 times already), he seemed adjitated and finally just hung up with no explanation for the call or setting an appointment. We called another sod company they called back and forth until we could get an appointment set. They understood the urgency of needing to choose the sod company because we are in a multi-phase project in our back yard. They even changed their schedule and came on a Saturday afternoon to measure and give us a price, they brought samples of the sod they use, since we had not previously used their company. We hired them 5 days ago and I finally got a call from Tom's Sod this afternoon to schedule an appointment, approximately 10-14 days after I contacted them. Not sure what is going on at Tom's but my backyard with old sod already removed is around $2,700-3,000 that will now go to another company.

Went great. Just delivered the pallets. The lady who helped me who has been in landscaping for over 20 years said it was the best and healthiest grass she had ever seen. Grass looks great 6mos later.

After making the initial call, Tom's Sod Company called to arrange for a time to see the property within two days. On the day scheduled, he called to let me know that he would be out in approximately 20 minutes. He arrived on time. He measured the area and gave me a written quote. He answered the questions I asked. We did not go with them because we found a lower quote.

NO ANSWER AT TOM'S. I WAS UNABLE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.

I've called Tom's Sod twice now to get an estimate for re-sodding my yard. First time a lady took the call and said she would have someone get back to me the next day.Nothing! After two weeks I called them back. This time a guy answered the phone and yet again promised me that someone would call back "today" to set up a time to give me an estimate.My call back information was correct and in their computer system from the first attempt. Four days later now and again no call??? In today's economy I'd of thought businesses would be fighting for new customers. Oh well, I guess they don't need my business!

They were excellent. They did a much better job than the company that put in our back yard. Tom's is a bigger company and I knew they were giving me an honest price. The price included grading and leveling the yard.

He gave us an estimate of $1600.00. He is very friendly very professional, on time. He came out on a Saturday; spent some time looking at the yard.

Gave me the name of a pest control company and had treatment before replacement. Arrived on time and were fast and professional. Excellent workmanship and value, would highly recommend. Cody - supervisor was especially helpful and knowledgeable

Mike came out to provide a quote and answered all our questions, giving helpful advice and suggestions. Our main concern was the drainage in our yard and asked for a slope towards the back fence when reshaping the dirt. Mike also suggested the use of Palmetto St. Augustine since it holds up better in the shade (our back neighbor has a large oak covering our yard half the day), cold and draught. Grass was delivered the day before and installed in one day. Clean up was perfect and no scraps/trash was left in the yard. The left over grass that wasn't used was picked up the following day and our initial quote was reduced to reflect the unused pieces.

Excellent. Quality of the sod was VERY high. Much fresher and healthier than most sod. All of it has survived very well. Price was substantially lower than most. Their installation team was very, very efficient and professional.

Great. He came out promptly for the estimate. Time frame was reasonable (1 week.) They came exactly when they said they would. Left yard in great shape. 3 months later - still satisfied.

They were able to accommodate our schedule and grade the yard so the lawn would drain out instead of toward our pool.

Mike, the sales guy was prompt with our estimate and Cody and crew were extremely professional and FAST when completing the job. I can not say enough on how impressed I am on the quality of product and service this company provided. Not only did they install the grass, Cody provided us with tips and instructions on how to keep our new lawn alive and beautiful.

Delivery was as expected. Driver was courteous and polite, and he dropped the load where I requested.

This was a great experience all around. Mike was great as was the crew that did the job. I highly recommend!

THEY DELIVERED IT AND IT IS VERY NICE! THE TRUCK BROKE DOWN AND CAUSED A DELAY OF THE DELIVERY WHICH IN TURN FORCED US TO INSTALL OURSELVES! VERY BACK-BREAKING!!!
