After 11 years, I bit the bullet and went to another roofing company and had my roof redone. Comfort Cover does not stand by their work. Their answer is caulking. You can not caulk on the corners when the membrane is cut short. Once the Comfort Roof was removed, there was rotten wood, condensation and some mold. Let’s not talk about the damage done inside which they said they were not responsible for. Their customer service is horrible. My review rating is zero.
Description of Work: They removed my trailer roof and put new membrane roof. They talked me into doing the Florida room and carport which I did.

Awful. Installers were rude and inconsiderate. Left a mess. Workmanship was poor and they used poor quality material. Called numerous times to fix the problems, and they finally showed up four months later. Paid $13,000 for a moldy, disgusting roof.

Very good, were very happy with them, very polite very professional. It was a reasonable price for a membrane roof. There was a delay in getting the building format but I don't think it was their fault.

Geoffrey arrived on 2/21 to do the install inspection and estimate. He was VERY knowledgeable, understood the job needed to be done and communicated the concerns he had that would need to be corrected during the installation of the new roof membrane as there was standing pools of water. He gave a fair estimate, agreed to provide a free Roof Inspection certificate, lifetime warranty and new bath vent. Installation was scheduled for 3/31 but I received a call that morning stating crew was held up on another job due to weather the past few days so they would not be out until 4/1. The install crew (Mark and his son) arrived about 9 on 4/1. When reviewing the work that needed to be done there was a difference in what they were told to do and what was contracted with Geoffrey the sales person. After inspecting the roof, Mark agreed that the work that Geoffrey had indicated on my contract did need to be done which involved re-enforcing half on the roof and laying down a new plywood base for support of the new roof. Many phone calls later between the office and Mark and finally a call from Geoffrey to clarify and authorize the work, they finally started around 10:30. They did a good job and had good solutions for areas along the edge that dipped down. It took 2 days to complete the job as it was a big roof. After they left on 4/2 I noticed that on the carport side they had not flashed the membrane over the old roof and it was wide open to the elements and critters. Called Chris (install lead) on 4/4/ to advise of the issue. He said would get a hold of installer. It took 2 more calls with Chris and I had to send him pictures of issue (I guess to prove the problem existed) to finally get a date. On 4/9 the installer Mark arrived and completed the carport side correctly. In the end the job was completed right and passed inspection. I am VERY pleased with the quality of the membrane and the work that was done. As of 5/1 I am still waiting for the Roof Inspection Certificate. It appears that Mark failed to give completed pictures to Chris so I will send some so the certificate can be completed. A word of caution to anyone using Comfort Cover: 1) Make sure that you get the detail of what is to be done IN WRITING on the contract when the salesman is there and you should make sure that the install team has the correct instructions for the work. 2) The General Manager Gary Smith is abrasive and will test your patience should you have to deal with him (as I had to). 3) Be prepared to followup on the install date and expect that the date may change based on weather, etc... and there will be little if any advance notice. Overall, once the job is done you will be proud of the new roof as I am and I feel confident in the quality of the materials and workmanship. I do and would recommend them.
Description of Work: Comfort Cover installed a new membrane roof over top of the existing roof.

I will never use them again. I liked the product. The installation was lousy and they tore off much more than they should have. I am still dealing with it. The price was high. It was about twice as expensive as somebody else. The quality of the stuff has a 25 year guarantee but the installation was crummy. Their responsiveness was lousy.

Response from Comfort Cover Systems, Inc.
We returned to the home March 14th, March 21st and March 22nd to try and satisfy the customer. We replaced 27 feet of trim inside and repaired the flashing which caused the leak. We cannot change the front and rear appearance of the home as they are requesting. It is not conducive to our type of roofing. The roof passed inspection from the building department and is properly installed. I am sorry they are not happy. They have a lifetime no leak warranty to them, transferable to 15 years from date of install to subsequent owners. After the repairs were completed, our manager called to follow up explaining we can not add an overhang to their roof per their request. We have done all we can.

After looking at the blueprints, I realized they put the installation in wrong. They did agree to fix it and put a new roof on. The second roof was not much better than the first.

A couple years ago our roof started leaking. We had a inspector come out and he confirmed that the roof was indeed leaking. We called the company because we have a lifetime warranty and they have come out and said it is not leaking. They are not returning our calls and keep giving us the run around. We would like to talk to someone who can take care of our issue.

We have responded the following dates on site: 6/6/11 8/3/11 12/14/11 6/25/12 - found no roof problems We contacted the customer 2/14/13 - told him we spoke with the Inspector he had out. He indicated he used a moisture meter and found moisture present. He could not determine the source. We suggested to the customer we would put a pan in the attic. If there is a leak, it will go in the pan. We will be present during a hard rain, or we will do a water test on the roof. If it is proven roof leaks, we will repair. If proven roof does not leak, we would like an apology.

For over three years this company constantly calls even thou I have asked them to remove me from their calling list. They use unlisted numbers sometimes as well as those that caller id that identifies the company. Between August 1 and Sept 1 they called 5 times. They may have a wondeful product but with their harrassment of senior citizens, I would not let them roof a dog house.

The work turned out excellent. They have an all-in-one venting system where they replace and cover your vents. They also have a trim package that actually helps to trim the sides of your house so that you don't see the sides as I have a membrane. This one actually looks very nice. They also had a choice of having a shingle like pattern on the membrane itself, which the other companies didn't have and I liked it.

Don't hesitate to call if you are looking for a membrane roof. The benefits outweigh the cost.
Description of Work: They removed the tile roof and took it down to bare wood. They replaced panels that needed to be replaced and put insulation on plywood. They also installed a membrane roof.
