They took hours longer than what they said was the average time it took to complete the job. As a result they charged me $620 just for installation. I then had to have them come back to fix the faucet because it was loose. When I tried to speak with Michael the service manager, he was EXTREMELY rude and would not even let me finish my sentences. He also refused to let me speak with anyone for a resolution. He insisted that a new hole had to be cut but in reality they merely trimmed a piece about 6 inches long. When I told him that I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau because I felt they were taking advantage of a senior citizen, he refunded a credit of 45 minutes.

Obviously they have too much work. Michael, the alleged service manager, said my job wasn't for them unless they could run the pipe along the outside of my house, which I did not want them to do. I asked them to install a gas line in my attic and drop a line down an inside wall. I have received estimates from two others who said they could do the work as I requested. Michael's rejection of the job and others telling me they could do the work suggests they have to much work or they just don't want to do work that's a bit difficult. I'm guessing it's the latter. So, unless you have an easy job, that's not too taxing, look elsewhere.
Response from CLEARWATER PLUMBING, INC.

"Our service manager crawled up in your attic to see how we could run the gas line you wanted. It did not seem feasible without damaging your existing AC duct work. When we spoke with you the day before to be sure we would come out with the right material to do the job you conveyed this was a simple job, requiring only 20' of pipe. Perhaps you did not go into the attic as he did. Upon inspection in your attic, he found over 40' of piping was required and your main AC duct was blocking access to where you wanted to put the gas line. He proposed an alternative way to run the piping in a professional manner that would not endanger your duct work. Because this was not what you wanted to hear when he crawled back out of the attic and tried to explain this to you, you wrote a bad review. Had a Whole House Water Filter installed by another contractor (that was total nightmare). The filter plumbing sprung a major leak/flood - which is why we have it in the garage. Called Clearwater Plumbing to re-plumb the pre-filter & straighten out the convoluted maze that was the result of the original installation. These guys are great - knowledgeable, professional, prompt (arrived when they said they would) , neat (cleaned up afterwards) reasonably priced. We also had the install new faucets for the Utility Sink and connect the under-the-counter water filter, hook up the refrigerator water line. Definitely Recommend!

It went great. Tim from Clearwater Plumbing gave us a call 30 minutes before arrival as promised. He arrived on time, took about 3 hours to remove old water heater, install new one, and answer our questions. He was capable and courteous. We will definitely call them in future for all our plumbing needs.

We contacted another plumbing company first, and they determined where the leak was. But the price they quoted was way out of line, so we dismissed them, and contacted Clearwater Plumbing. Not only did they fix the pipe, but they also installed a new water shut off valve and new piping right next to our home and their cost was 1/3 of what the other company wanted.

The guy came out; he used a big wrench and turned off the leak. The reason why I opened the valve and why I could not close it was because there were sediments in the bottom which I wanted to drain out and I had the hose right there but he was not willing to do that. Then I told him that while he was here and while I was paying for the half hour I wanted him to do some other work for me too. I had some outside spigots that I could not open and I wanted him to replace the spigots. He then told me that he could replace the spigots but probably it would punch a hole in the wall, or might even break off in there. He was telling me all the bad thing so that I won't do anything. So he just left and I don't want him back. I will not recommend them to anybody. My neighbor recently used the same company and he was pleased with their service. My experience was horrible but my neighbor's was good. So it all depends on whom they send out. The guy who came for me did not want to do anything or maybe he did not like me when he stepped off the truck. A lot of it depends; especially in service, on the person who is doing the service not necessarily the company.

We had used them before to install a water softener and install the toto toilet, so we knew their hourly fee. The last time, when installing the water softener, they flooded our laundry room and quot;by mistake.and quot; Still, because they were nice about it, we decided to use them again.
When and quot;Scottand quot; arrived and we asked what the hourly rate would be, he announced a much higher rate. We were not told ahead of time, and were quite surprised. They refused to budge on their price, even though he was here for only 15 minutes.
I do not think that is the way to treat loyal customers.
We told Scott to put the old parts back in the toilet; that it was not fair. We called and spoke to the gal on the phone. She was not very friendly, but did agree to take off nine dollars. Her manner was very rude and abrupt. Scott proceeded to put the new parts back in the toilet, we paid him and he left.

I called the office, was dealt with politely by the receptionist and time was scheduled within a window of time suited to my availability. The serviceman, Scott, called me to let me know when he was leaving the job before me (courteous practice). I had requested Scott, because I had a prior service call handled by him in a very efficient and courteous manner. He once again did not disappoint.....he spent a l/2 hour working on the problem and then needed to order a brass pop up assembly that would match the faucets/hardware we have in our bathroom. Another time for him to come back was scheduled two days later. He completed the job in a very satisfactory and efficient manner.

We recently bought a vacation/retirement home in Clearwater, FL. After closing on the house, my daughter and I spent a few days there, while my husband had to stay behind in DE for work. In the few days we had, we had to have some furniture delivered, a security system installed, and have someone come to rekey all the locks. We weren't expecting to have to have a plumber come out too, but there was a nasty leak in one of the tub faucets that we couldn't get to stop. We scheduled all the services for the same day! I knew it would be a madhouse, but we were short on time and had to get things done. If everyone showed up in the time "windows" they were supposed to, I knew it would be fine, but how often does THAT ever happen? Well, Clearwater plumbing came just exactly when they were scheduled to, much to my relief, since we pay for our water in Clearwater, and the night before all I could wonder was how many gallons of water (and dollars) were going down the drain! The plumber's name was Tony. He was pleasant and friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem with the faucet and installed a new Moen cartridge that took care of the leak. He then located and tagged the main water shut-off valve and the one for the hot water heater as well, so that we could turn these off when we were going to be away. He also located and labeled the circuit breaker for the hot water heater. Knowing I was new to the area, Tony offered useful information about activities in our new neighborhood, and I found out he's a neighbor of mine as well...he lives on a street behind ours. I saw a sign on his truck about tankless water heaters and I told him we would be calling them to install one of them when we could. He said that would be great, but that I should wait until the regular tank water heater we have now gave up first. That impressed me because if I had said that to most other plumbers I have ever dealt with they would have immediately started pushing me to buy it NOW. The fact that he didn't actually insured that when it does come time to replace our old water heater, Clearwater Plumbing will be the ones we call to install the tankless system...and I'll specifically request Tony! The icing on the cake was when he gave me the bill. I didn't know what to expect because I know companies usually charge a huge fee just to walk in the door, on top of parts and labor. With all the other things we had to pay for, an unexpected plumbing bill was the last thing we needed. I needn't have worried. The bill was very reasonable for the Moen parts, labor, and all the time Tony spent educating me about our home's plumbing. We are very happy customers and will absolutely call Clearwater Plumbing for all our plumbing needs in the future!

Great in-store service. I was looking for a hard to find toilet flap, which I was not able to find find anywhere else. The tech went through a long search and found just what I needed.
