The service technician was prompt, professional and very polite. He explained what he did to the compressor, the vents and filters. He offered a service contract (have not had time to consider). He wrote out everything, which was helpful for future reference. Some contractors tell you that you have an issue that needs to be fixed immediately. He did not try that. I am really pleased. I would diffinently use this company again.

Worst experience with a service provider ever. When the technician first came out my wife was at home and called me up very worried for her own safety, the technician was walking around the house with his shirt off and generally acting creepy. I had to have my father come over and stay for about an hour while he finished the work. He told them a second group would have to come out the next day to finish the work and afterward the AC would be ice cold. the second group came out the next day and finished the work, but the AC still was not cold. They had no idea what was going on and recommend they have another guy come out and take a look at it. The third guy told us the duct work wasn't right and that was the problem so we had the duct work fixed and still the AC didn't work. The third guy came back out and looked at the unit and told us it was shot and the only option would be a replacement. I questioned why when I had originally asked if it should have been replaced I was just told it was dirty, and that I didn't feel like I should have been more knowledgeable about an AC unit than an AC technician. They said that a replacement was my only option. I asked if they would take the cost of the repair that did not work off the cost of a new unit and they said they would work with me on it. I received their quote of $10k to replace the unit and thought it was a little high, then went to confirm that the price would be $8500 with the $1500 I had already spent with them taken off. I was told no the cost was $11,500 and $10k with the cost of the repair taken off. Thinking this was high I called three other licensed reputable AC contractors and the highest quote I got to replace the unit with similar (in one case the exact same unit) was $5k. I called up Garry and asked him about this and he told me they set their pricing and that is what it is and if I didn't like it I could take my business elsewhere. I asked him about refunding my money that I spent and he told me I paid for a cleaning and that is what I got. I questioned the logic behind me as a consumer wanting to have a broken AC unit cleaned. The only consession he was willing to make was to offer me the $100 back I had paid him for a one year service contract on a broken unit, but this came with one major constraint. He said "I will give you back your $100 you paid me for the one year service contract, but YOU HAVE TO PROMIS NOT TO WRITE UP THIS EXPERIENCE ON ANY COMPANY RATING SITE" I was floored he was offering me $100 bribe money not to share my experience with anyone. I did not take his money, I would rather share with you the type of experience I had with them.
Description of Work: Provider claimed a broken AC unit just needed to be cleaned and it would work great. I had asked if the best course of action would be a replacement they stated it just needed to be cleaned and would work great

Both techs who serviced our unit were incredibly friendly and quick. They showed up on time (and even slightly earlier the second time). I also appreciated the scheduling call a week or so before. We have the annual contract and they call to schedule biannually. Great service.

Their technician Tony performed the third of six system check-ups. He was prompt on arrival time and went straight to work after inquiring about any problems or concerns. He was very knowledgeable about my equipment and did a thorough job. The maintenance agreement I purchased is a good deal and provides the customer with a level of confidence that the system(s) is in good condition for the coming six months. Judging from my recent and past experiences with Bayside, I would recommend them to others.

Jim provided his personal phone number should any problems arise - there have been none. It was a most comfortable experience.

Tony serviced both our external unit and the blower, cleaned out the drain line and added chlorine tablets. He showed us which parts were showing the most wear, and left it to us to decide whether we wanted to let them be for now, or to repair/replace. He didn't push service and replacement on us, which we appreciated, but made it clear that parts were getting old.

The service went okay. One technician came out for the service. He was very friendly but was not aware of the reason he was sent out. It did not get communicated to him that I had purchased a deal. He had to call the office so I not billed any further chargers. They were also confused about what exactly the deal offered. I finally got what I was looking for and scheduling was not an issue. I did find out that I could have gotten this same service for free from another company after checking around, however.

Well I have a unit that is close to 10 years old. The technician came out and did the cleaning. He verified the working components of the system. He did discuss with me the age of the unit and it's current efficiency and started to tell me what my options would be. Although he did recommend a UV filter for almost $1100, it was no too pushy of a sales pitch. I know companies have to make money but in the past I have dealt with other companies on a maintenance program and it was a hard sell for everything all the time - lightening suppressors, power capacitors... all kinds of crap I did not need. I was pleased with this company overall and will more than likely use them on a complete system replacement.

We have a new provider for our A/C Services. However, Bayside keeps calling us to perform maintenance. We have repeatedly told then that we have a new provider, and asked them to stop contacting us. The last time Gary called my wife, she told him we had a new provider (again), and he argued with her regarding how his service was better. Today, he called her again, and when she told him that she had asked to be removed from his contact list, he hung up on her. At this point, the quality of the original service provided years ago no longer matters. Gary is unprofessional and continues to harass us to use his service, although we have told him at least 4 times (before today) that we are not interested. He must be very desperate for business.

I had an appointment between 3-5, confirmed by Barbara at Bayside this morning. Technician Aaron M called to tell me he was running behind schedule and apologized for the delay. He arrived and promptly went to work, checking the a/c system. Aaron explained what he was doing as he went along. He advised me that considering the unit is 16 years old, it is running well. I appreciated the fact that he was honest and did not try to find something wrong. Aaron did offer a 3 year plan for $196 and when I told him I am an Angie's List member he incorporated the 49.95 so that the 196.00 included today's visit. I am extremely pleased with Bayside, as my initial contact was very professional, unfortunately I do not remember the gentleman I spoke to. He gave me details of what would be done, and Barbara called a while later to make sure I understood the details. Bayside also serviced two of my neighbors today as well and they were very pleased.

Very impressed with this company. Easy scheduling. Great communication regarding arrival. Very knowledgeable, personable and informative service technician (Joe) who explained everything and gave me a good education on my system during the tune up. Did not try to sell me services I did not need. As a brand new Florida resident, I am now looking for service providers that I can trust and count on for the years to come. The service was under warranty. I would not recommend them.

We installed a new system for this customer approximately one and a half years ago. Six months later it developed a slight leak in the evaporator coil so we replaced the coil under warranty at no cost to the customer. Shortly after the customer had a problem with their zone system that opens and closes dampers inside their duct work. We went out to diagnose the problem and gave them a quote to repair. The customer became very upset and tried to insist that their zone system, which was installed when the house was built went out because of the leak in the a/c system? A manager and the owner explained to the customer several times that their existing zone system had absolutely nothing to do with the air condition system but unfortunately the customer continued to insist we should replace the defective part in his zone system for free. We are sorry this customer had a problem with something that was installed by someone else but obviously we cant be responsible for everything in their home. We thank you for your business and if you ever have a problem with the system that we installed, we will have someone right out for you. Thank you again and Merry Christmas.
