That was good. They were here the same month of the purchase date. After they diagnosed with something I ordered something from them that was $2000 with service for two years and I got it because it evened out. Then when they came to do the installation I found out I paid for the diagnostic for no reason. They found a way to get $10 back to me.

It went great! The service guy recommend that we get a new thermostat. Decided to do it myself instead of having them do it. He even said to call him if I ran into any issues and he would walk me thru it. We will definetly be using them again for any A/C needs that might come up.

It was not a good experience. The guy put a band aid on and said, "Oh you need a new unit," trying to sell me up like $6,000. It wasn't even a couple of months before we had a problem. The problem that we had, JDK found right away and also confirmed that the other people didn't do that. So I was not happy with them at all. All they wanted to do was recommend a new unit from their own company and I decided not to do that at the time because the unit did kick back on. I didn't feel that they did a thorough job because JDK found the issue within 5 minutes. It was more expensive than JDK's diagnostic at $39. They were pretty responsive and quick to call me back. They were punctual.

We ran one service call at this address at the Angie's Big Deal discount. The system was in very poor condition and not running at all due to a blown start capacitor. The tech explained the problem to the customer and they requested that we replace the faulty capacitor. He also suggested that they may consider upgrading the system due to its rusted condition, pulling very high amps, and being 24 years old. The system then ran for 2 months after installing the new start capacitor before it developed different problem and they called another company to do the repair. Thank you for giving us a try, we appreciate your business.

3 years ago we purchased an amana air conditioner and in December 205 it stopped working. They came out and replaced the part with no charge due to it being under warranty. We then received the bill for $570 for just 2 workers for under one hour of labor to replace the part. They charge exorbitantly for their labor cost.

This customer purchased a system that came with a 10 year parts warranty and a 1 year warranty on labor and materials. They claimed the bill was for 2 workers and one hour and that is simply not true. The cost to do the repair included a total of 4 service visits, the time to diagnose the problem, a UV dye test, another trip back to check the results of that test, the pumping down the refrigerant in the system, picking up the needed part from the supply house, installing the new evaporator coil, and then recharging the system with refrigerant, The customer was given an exact quote for the repair before the work began and approved it. They were very rude to all of our workers, and when the work was completed they at first refused to pay. We understand it can be very frustrating when a system needs an expensive repair but we feel we did everything possible to help this customer get It corrected in a fair and professional manor.

It was an incredible experience. Bayside hit it out of the park with three outstanding players, Jimmy Rogers, in sales, and Joshua and Deangelo, our installers. Their estimate was the best we received and they were able to start the work the day after we called to sign the contract. They promised to have the work completed in two days and had it done in one. In our opinion these gentlemen deserve a raise for their hard work and great customer service.

This is my second review of Bayside Heating & Air.....and they are getting an A+ again!! As previously stated in my first review, I purchased a whole house purification system, and they provided a maintenance package at no additional cost. The purification system is expensive (why I gave a B grade for price) but I do understand that they are a company that needs to pay the bills too. Everyone from Bayside who has come to my home (Tony and Mark , just to name two) are always very professional and are great at educating the home owner. They even offer to clean up after every job if they make a "mess". Since purchasing my home in 2008, I have had several issues with the a/c just going "out" for no reason. I have tried 4 other companies before Bayside, including the company that installed my a/ c during building process. This issue happened several times a year for over 8 years, costing me a lot of money. Shortly after Bayside came out for routine maintenance, this issue has happened once again. Gabriel was dispatched to my home to fix the issue. He is the ONLY person who has EVER thought to go up into my attic to check that unit to see if that is where the problem was. He discovered a broken part (damper door??) ................so basically it was sitting there broken the entire time and nobody else from the other companies figured it out??? W**!!!!!! Oh yeah, and I think it was Mark who also discovered that the idiots who installed my a/c during building process only put in one air return, when my home should have two. Bayside rocks!!

They were professional. The guys? name was Aaron and I liked the work he did. He was wonderful. The air conditioning had a slow leak of Freon and he fixed that as well and was honest and told us that we would need a new air conditioning unit in about a year (which we already knew) so we really appreciated his honesty. He showed up on time and did well on everything. I would recommend them to anybody.

Well this is our first experience with Bayside and it could not have gone any better. Our service tech "Daniel" was awesome. He was very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. We were very happy with the service provided.

I have used a number of Ac companies since moving to the area in 2010 and I have really come to like bayside heating and air the most. After one company recommended I replace both the Ac and blower for $5000or go with replacing the compressor and leaking lines that were causing the problem for a money saving $2000 I called up bayside just to get a second opinion. Alex the tech said there was no reason for replacing any of these components and said all that needed to be done was fix the leak. For $560 he got everything working in under 2 hours. Then this week the Ac seemed to not blow cold air anymore. concerned I still had a leak I called Bayside again and they quickly had another tech out Gabe who did a complete analysis of my system and found no leaks or any problems with my unit but did notice my until May have had a electric surge which was causing the compressor to not function. So Gabe gave me instructions on how to fix problem if I had the same problem again and when to give them a call to come out if I continue to have problems. Since Gabe had to come out so soon after Alex came out to fix the leak he didn't charge me anything. Overall I spent a fraction of the cost the other guys wanted me to pay and then to come out for free when I was still having issues really shows me these guys care about me and not their bankroll. Would highly recommend these guys over anyone in the area.

Technician diagnosed and let me actually fix the issue. I was installing a new wifi thermostat had the wrong breaker turned off and blew the fuse in the air handler. He pointed out the issue and I changed the fuse myself. The technician Gabe was great to work with. I definitely will be using Bayside heating and air conditioning again. I will keep there number handy.

NOTE: I had to fill in a date and price in the mandatory fields, so I just filled in the date we found out about the most recent miswiring situation, as well as the amount of money it is going to cost us in home repairs. It's truly disconcerting the number of times and family members that this company has scammed or attempted to scam before we started sharing information among us (see details below on my own story). Confirming our experiences, actually ran into someone experienced with Bayside who reports there is tremendous pressure on employees to sell people things they don't really need--they are supposed to make a sale on every visit, if possible. I'm not surprised. Here is my story. Event #1: At my last house, Bayside gave us a very high estimate for parts and repairs we didn't really need. Luckily, I got a second estimate from another company who charged us for a quick service call and solved everything instead--they told us that whoever gave us the original quote was just trying to take advantage. So, even then I marked Bayside as a company not to use, and we only use the honest company now. Event #2: But then when we moved, I found out Bayside installed the A/C units here. The way I found that out is after we had a disastrous situation (costing us thousands of dollars) because the A/C was improperly wired, so I inquired with the previous home owner about who installed the unit: Bayside. Other Events: When I shared this info with other family members, it turns out several of them had very similar stories! My mother-in-law reported that their condo units (for the whole building) were improperly installed by Bayside, for example. I have been an Angie's List member for a very long time--and I only use companies on their list. Angie's List is where I found Bayside to begin with back at the previous house. I don't know how this company can be featured as an outstanding company on the list when 13% of reviews give them a C, D, or F. I also see some "A" reviews that have no comments, so that seems suspicious.

We are not sure what this persons agenda is but this report is not only untrue, it may also be considered to be slander and very libelous. If you reread this report you will see this person admits there was no work done, and she just filled in the blanks with numbers and dates that she made up. She also claims she heard very negative things about us from “someone” she ran into? Was this “someone” at the grocery store or gas station? Was this someone referring to one of the 4 other companies in the area with a similar name? It’s very curious that this “someone” doesn’t even have a name that could be verified? She also says that we gave her an estimate that was way too high but we have no record of that in our system? Obviously we record each estimate so if the customer calls in later, we will have that information. Then there was that disastrous situation in a home she purchased that she claims cost her thousands of dollars due to faulty install by our company. You would think we would have heard something from the previous owner if there was a “disastrous problem”, or maybe from the county inspector that inspected the work. I guess we were just fortunate that these people were so understanding they just didn’t want to bother us with an improper installation that cost thousands of dollars to correct? Then she also falsely claims that we improperly installed all the systems in her mother in laws condo building. This is obviously another attempt to deceive as we have never done new construction work for any builder or developer during the 17 years we have been in business. Is she really expecting anyone to believe that a contractor could improperly install all the units in a condo without being sued by the developer? Evidently she is not aware that the work she describes must be inspected before being passed by a licensed city building inspector. We are very proud of our A+ rating with BBB, the hundreds of thank you letters hanging on our front office walls, and more positive reviews than any other HVAC contractor in the Tampa Bay area. We have worked very hard to earn this reputation over the last 17 years, and we will aggressively defend it against these types of baseless accusations. We are confident that our hundreds of long time Angies List customers will see this report for just what it is. Thank you all for your business and your continued support.

When the tech arrived and started to inspect the unit that I wanted to have troubleshot, he told me that he was not qualified to do that and that they "sent me the wrong person". Apparently, he is part of the sales department rather than the repair side so could not tell me what was wrong with my unit. While I have nothing personal against the "sales tech" who came out, I felt that it was ridiculous that they did not send me the right person for the job. He explained that they divide the work between sales and technicians who make the repairs and that for the offer that Angies List advertised, they sent the sales guy to do the work. So when all was said and done, the only the thing the Bayside ended up doing was documenting some numbers on an inspection form. There was absolutely no maintenance or cleaning or anything done that would either prolong the life of the unit or make it function better. The company has not apologized for sending me the wrong person for the job. My advice to fellow Angie Listers is to not order a maintenance from this company as no maintenance is done and they will only try to sell you some maintenance contract instead.
Description of Work: Because I own several units and had a concern with one of the units occasionally blowing ambient air rather than cold air, I let the office representative know that I would like to order the maintenance/inspection for all three units but that I would like the tech to troubleshoot the one unit that was not functioning properly. She indicated that it would not be a problem.

Evidently there was a misunderstanding when this call was originally set. Our dispatcher explained the price of a repair call and a scheduled maintenance visit. The customer chose the lower priced preventive maintenance visit. Most companies don't stock their maintenance trucks with the diagnostic equipment and all the needed spare parts that they carry on their service and repair vehicles. When the maintenance tech arrived the system he was having trouble with was running fine, but the tenant said that it sometime shuts off on its own. The technician explained the problem was in the thermostat and the customer said he would just replace it himself. Thank you for giving us a call and we apologize if there was a miscommunication.

The installation went well, technicians completed the job and cleaned up just fine. On 5/22/15. The system ran fine for about a month of course it was not being used a lot during that time of year. On July 8 the system broke down. A service call was requested and a tec found the system frozen and low on freon. on the next trip Found that the coil was leaking. Will order new coil to replace leaking one. In the mean time recharged the system so the air would work. Returned on July 15th to replace the coil with new one. On 7/20/15 System down again. Tec came out and found system low on freon added dye to the system to find any leaks. Adjusted freon level. On 7/25/15 system down again found fittings on evap coil side leaking tightened fittings reajusted freon levels. On 7/28/15 system down again found High voltage wire to fan lose and retightened. Tec told my brother-in-law that the return duct needed to be enlarged for a price because it was to small creating the freezing. Although I have been out of town for the month of July, I called the company to complain about the New system and all the problems. Service mgr. told me the duct work was just a suggestion not a requirment. I must admit I was not especially nice on the call as the only reason we put a new system in so there would not be failures while we were traveling. Her old 15yr old system worked better than this. It is now Saturday, August 16th and the system is down again. I have called in a service call only to get a recording. I have looked around and on Angies list it says they are closed on weekends but the paper work says they are 24/7. Numerous calls not response. So today if they are not available to fix this system again I will have to transport my Mother-in-law to another location till they can be reached. I again went over myself and found unit frozen again. Turned on fan manually and the thermostate up high so it would not kick in again and allow the unit to run kind of like the old days with a fan and block of ice. Coil unfrozen, turned it down again and left fan run24/7 to make sure it would not freeze up again until Monday. Called monday morning and found out they are open on weekends just they forgot to switch over to answering service. I would like to have this fixed correctly so I can feel assured it will not be failing constantly. New Tec came out and found Fan Board bad, freon leaking from coil and tested the air pressures. I gave in and had them schedule to enlarge a 10 foot span of return air by 2 inches for $$, anything to make this work. Tech said they had to replace the Coil again and get a new Fan board. Until they come back we will leave the fan run 24/7 so it does not freeze up again. Board replaced, duct work redone and coil is on order. All of this has taken a toll on my mother-in-law and I am frustrated to no end with paying good money and having so many issues. However, I will say that Marsha the Service Mgr. at Bayside stuck buy the warrantee and kept sending techs coming back to fix the unit. They returned and replaced the coil unit for the second time. It is now September, the unit has operated for just over 3 weeks with out failing. I am still holding my breath waiting for the next failure. Nothing to say bad about the personel in the office or on the Techs onsite, just this unit was a nightmare. I have to give this an overall F as this is not what we signed up for on the purchase of a New Air Conditioning System. Took way too many trips and meets to get this Operating properly. Not sure it is fixed completely yet as I am waiting for the next problem. I will update these details in late October to see if it has been running without any further issues.
Description of Work: This was the middle bid on a replacement Air Conditioning System for my elderly mother-in-laws house. I am the one paying for it as she is on fixed income and not able to afford to replace. Sales man went over the house in detail to assure me that the size system would be correct. We agreed on the bid and scheduled the install.

We fully understand this customers frustration. No one wants to pay hard earned money for a new product and then have problems with it. We carry 6 or 7 different brands of HVAC systems and each one of those manufactures build tens of thousands of units each year. Even with the best possible quality control measures in place, there will occasionally be a leak in a coil or a bad connection on a control board no matter what brand it is. They were prompt, did a good job, and cleaned up. I'm very happy with them. This was a very tricky because it was a limited space, they even had their engineers try to find a unit that would fit in those dimensions.

I now use Bayside twice a year for tune ups on my 2 units. They are always very nice and call about 30 minutes before they arrive. The price is great and I feel like I can trust them.

They called before they came and arrived during the time window the office gave me. The technician was very nice performed the work and didn't give me too hard of a sell on their maintenance package. I do use Bayside now for my seasonal tune ups.
