Insurance Agencies
They supposedly secured a policy with a company here in Florida who subsequently requested a copy of the 4-point inspection since the house had just been purchased. I faxed it to Cynthia, who went out of town. After I had gone on vacation, Ed couldn't find the inspection report and called my cell; I had to call my realtor who had the inspector fax another copy. When Cynthia emailed me a couple days later, while I was still out of town, I told her the electrical system had all been updated appropriately and to not contact me again as I would be gone for a month and certainly had no paperwork with me. I assumed everything was okay. Upon my return early the next month, I found the insurance had been cancelled and I had been uninsured for a couple of weeks. Their excuse was that I had told them to leave me alone so they let it get cancelled. However, when I filed a complaint with the state insurance commissioner, Ed lied about every detail, saying that I didn't submit the proper reports and that the electrical panel was not proper. The facts are that they are disorganized and uncaring. If my home had burned down during that 2-week period, I'd have been out of luck. The insurance company in question offered to re-instate the policy but only if I would continue to deal with Langston, which I patently refused. They politely refunded most of the policy payment for the year, although I'm sure Langston kept their commission. They are immoral IMHO and I don't know how they sleep at night. I have since found another agency on Angie's List and this ethical man has obtained insurance for me quite well. I will never deal with the Langston's and I hope everyone is wary of them. I've spread the word in more ways than one about these hateful people.
