"What Edner fails to point out was that this was the third time he had tried to get the price lower. We lowered it two other times also $1200 to $1100 just the night before over the phone after the work had been completed. When he tried to get the price lowered again after all work had been done when I was there to collect the next morning, I told Edner, just write the check for whatever you think is fair... He then decided to pay the $1100. Edner completely forgets that exchange I suppose. Here is what this customer got for $1100. We came out to find the problem as to how his wood floor got wet with an infrared camera and moisture sensing equipment. We found the problem was outside at the window with compromised stucco on both the sill and the outside wall. We brought a dehumidifier inside to dry up the area. The next day we pulled old damaged boards out that had mold on them along with the damaged underlayment. We then replaced the underlayment which we purchased and replaced it along with the new boards which is an very tricky and involved process since you cannot damage any of the old boards that you are not pulling out. Also, our invoice stated that we would replace 4 or 5 boards. We ended up replacing 10 or 11 and never asked for more money. We then put the quarter round back on. We then went to an unrelated area of the house at Edner's request and repaired another area of quarter round that would not attach well because of impediments under the quarter round. We fixed and re-attached that for him at no charge. I thought the mortar outside would go down about a foot, but it only went down 3 or 4 inches before it hit the footer so that is what we sealed. We also sealed up with caulk and sealing product called "Drylock"on the window sill and a crack on the outside wall. We also inspected two other windows and added some caulk to them at no charge. We did not exaggerate the problem, the wood floor inside was wet, moldy and damaged which is the reason we were called out. How am I exaggerating by pointing out to him how and why the inside of his home got wet?? In addition, my fix did not include any very expensive things such as replacing windows, replacing stucco, going inside the wall or any number of other pricey things. We recommended the least amount possible to fix the problem. No exaggeration at all ! I am perfectly willing to negotiate a price up front. I am much less willing to do so after the job has been completed.. Edner does not think all of that work and expertise is worth $1100. We strongly, very strongly,, disagree. We do however thank him for giving us a 4.5 stars out of five for the quality of our work!!! Thank you Edner!!!!"
"When additional things such as scotchgard and additional anti microbial for bad pet odor problems then additional money must be paid..We quote for cleaning only without seeing the carpet and before being told of carpet problems.."
"We must charge more for more work.. We had not been told of this other work over the phone so we could not talk about it..."
"there were multiple parties setting up the time and then the customer was not there when we got there so there was lots of confusion as to what was to be done. we have offered them a free cleaning next time around or their money back."
