He knew what the problem was before he came out and had the part with him and it took him less than 10 minutes to fix it. He was friendly, knowledgeable and honest.

Refrigerator was not cooling properly and reached out to Kitchen aid directly to ask them for recommendations on local certified technicians. Checked all three they provided me and called Fields appliance for service. Had one of their tech's come in and never got the feeling or sense that he was competent enough to diagnose what the problem was. Long story short, they ordered a new fan part for me then, came back to install it three days later. Unfortunately the part was the wrong one. Same Tech advised and offered, and quot;that happens all of the timeand quot;. Then, strangely said he would order another part while adding that he believed it was my computer board. He hadn't touched a thing. Spoke with the owner of this outfit and he suggested they get another tech out asap. Two weeks later, no call. Thanks. Called Gabriel on Wednesday afternoon 2/1/2012 asking him for help. He said he would be able to come out and see me the next day between 10 and 2pm, adding that it might be on the early side. He called me on Thursday 2/2/2012 at 9:30 saying he would be there at 10 am. At 10, He came in, asked a few questions about what sound I was hearing specifically and began listening intently to various parts of the refrigerator, eliminating what the problem was.not. Zeroing in on the computer board within ten minutes of listening/looking. Offered me to view and hear right along with him once he found. I'll be right back he advised...within the hour, he was back at the house with the new part. Took him another fifteen minutes to install it before being on his way. I will use Gabriel again for any household appliance needs just based on his promptness and professionalism. I found him engaging, pleasant and comfortable to be around while also finding myself trusting his knowledge. Confidence is important.

They are extremely honest, reliable and knowledgeable. Overall, they do an excellent job.

I didn't call Gabriel until Saturday, 'cause I was still waiting to hear from another repair service I had called. When I didn't hear anything from that repairman by Saturday, I called Gabriel. He answered my phone call immediately and told me he didn't do service calls over the weekend -- perfectly understandable -- then proceeded to tell me he would be available at 7:00 a.m. on Monday and to call him then if I still needed service. I can't remember what time I called on Monday, but it was pretty early. He gave me a time when he would be at my house and he called me about 15 minutes before he was to arrive at my house. He diagnosed the problem as a bad memory board and that although he had a Kitchenaid memory board on his truck, unfortunately, it was not the one I needed. He told me he'd order the part and would pick up the part between 10 and 11 on Wednesday when the parts dealership said it would be in, and then he'd come to my house and put it in. A man of his word. He called when he had the part and told me what time to expect him. I couldn't be happier with his service. I'd rate him AAAA.

I made an appointment with this company to come fix my washer machine. He was supposed to be at my house between 8 AM - 12 PM. At 12:20 when the gentlemen never showed up i decided to give him a call. He asked what the appointment name was under? As soon as i gave him my name he started being very nasty. Stating he called me at 8:15 this morning and i never picked up. Funny thing is that i dont have any missed calls. I asked him why he was being so rude? He then was even more rude and said " IM WORKING UNDER A MACHINE RIGHT NOW!" I then asked him how many times he called? He said "ONLY ONE TIME'. If you own a business you should know that people use cellphones. Sometimes calls dont go through. He should have been professional enough to call one more time or leave a voicemail. I am very disapointed in how i was treated today. We have used this company in the past and had no problems. Unfortunately, after the way i was treated today we will no longer use his services. Next time atleast be professional and not yell at someone.

Don't use just anyone on Angies List... I had tried another with many hits on Angies list and they never called or responded to the email message I sent. No to Afforable Appliance and no to A-Z Appliance.

Their prices seemed fair. They repaired the refrigerator well and their customer service was good. They came in quickly and resolved the problem fast. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

The job was fine. The man that came out was very knowledgeable. He had actually come to fix something on the fridge. When I pointed out the oven, he knew a way that he could get a replacement part for the oven, which was cheaper than any other way I had found; he saved me about $300. The part was brand new, and it worked perfectly well.

He rewired it instead of selling a new one and he saved me money. He is a kind of honest and down to earth guy. He also replaced two belts in my washing machine. He knows his stuff inside out and is a good guy. He does a very good work at a fair price.

Our 5 year old Kenmore dryer was functioning fine except that it no longer produced any heat to dry the clothes! We called A thru Z Appliance on a Saturday morning and Gabriel said he could be there in roughly an hour (which he was). I did not mention to him that I had already checked the machine with a multi-tester and thought I may have determined the problem. Upon arrival he wasted no time getting right to work and in about 10-15 minutes had diagnosed that it was a faulty machine control electronics board -- the same conclusion I had reached. I originally called Gabriel out though to confirm that my conclusion was correct since a new board is expensive if I was in error (approx $200 from Sears and you have to order it --not in stock). Fortunately Gabriel had a replacement board on his truck and had the new part installed and the machine back together in probably about 20 minutes. I observed his work the entire time and asked many questions. I was very satisfied with his speed, knowledge, ethics and professionalism. I think his price was certainly reasonable for this type of honest service ($352.03 includes tax). I would use his services again.

After difficulty getting him here from the other calls (they're quite busy!), he resolved all the problems in prompt time and made some improvements. The price was a little higher that I had hoped but was a lot cheaper than a new fridge and this one will keep running for years to come. We're quite satisfied and relieved to get the floor leak resolved quickly.

Gabriel answered my 8 am call, asked me to describe the problem, advised me that he has a service fee of $69 for his coming out if the appliance turns out not to be reasonably repairable, otherwise the fee's applied to the price for labor and parts. He said he'd be able to look at it between then and noon. He arrived promptly, was very pleasant to deal with and performed the repair with no problems.

My refrigerator broke down on a Friday night. I was hoping it was just in de-frost, but by the time I got home my freezeer was 40 degree. I called A thru Z appliance that night and the owner Gabriel answered and said he would be there first thing in the morning. He spent about 1 1/2 hours on trying to fix the unit, but it ended up being the compressor. Being almost Saturday afternoon, he was able to make some calls and get a new compressor installed. Everything was completd by 12:30pm. Thanks Gabreil for you hard work and honest approach. This is an honest person looking at the long term with you. I will always use him for any and all repairs!

When I told them that I had replaced the module myself the serviceman seemed annoyed and said that they didn't like to get involved when the owner had done any work himself. Then he helped point out other areas I could check. He basically refused to schedule a service call but gave me another area to look at. I guess if you just want service, they might be OK. But if you educate yourself and try to diagnose the problem yourself, don't bother to call.

Our 10-year old refrigerator lost all cooling during the night. We found A thru Z on Angie's List and called about 9:30 this morning. Our phone call was answered promptly, and Gabriel arrived at our house within 30 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and had all the parts he needed. He installed the new parts, cleaned a lot of dust out of the coils, and was done by 11:00 AM. Gabriel was friendly, courteous and professional. We were very happy with his fast response, the work and the price. We will use A thru Z again, the next time something else breaks.

Gabriel was able to come out the next morning and was very nice, fast, and efficient. I will definitely use him again should the need arise!

They were very prompt and they came when I wanted them to come. They did a good job when they fixed the dryer.

Gabriel arrived at our home within an hour of our early morning call for help. He diagnosed the problem (an unusual one) and informed us that new parts would be required. He had one of the parts in his truck inventory but needed to get another from a supply house. He closed the access panel and put the refrigerator back in place, then left to get the part. He returned with the part in a couple of hours and completed the repairs in less than 30 minutes. He was prompt, friendly, courteous, respectful of our household routine, and did excellent work. In short, he was everything anybody could want in a repair service. We are very pleased and will call him for any major appliance service we might need in the future.

Everything went fine. I called in the morning and he was here in the early afternoon. 30 minutes later I had a new ice maker.

I called Gabriel around ten in the morning and he said he would come out in about an hour. He quickly found the the probem. He called to find the part and came back in the afternoon and fixed it.

I called A Thru Z Appliance on Saturday morning. Gabriel answered and I gave him a quick overview of the problem. He told me he wasn't working this particular Saturday (he was out at lunch with his son when I reached him on his cell phone) but due to the urgency of the problem, he would be at my house within the hour. He arrived on time, quickly identifed the problem, had the correct replacement part in his truck, quoted a price and fixed the problem within the hour. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and I will ABSOLUTELY call him for all my future repair needs.

Gabriel was on time, very professional, explained what he was doing as he went along. Turns out the problem was a faulty valve. He happened to have one in his truck, so he replaced it immediately. Recommended a solution to avoid the problem in the future as well. Quite happy with the service!

I called A Thru Z Appliance Services at about 11:00 A.M. because my refrigerator was hot keeping my food cold. In fact the temperature gauge was reading 65 degrees. Gabriel told me he would be at my house by 2:00 P.M. He arrived at 1:00PM. He went right to work and found the temperature sensor was not working and showed me how the frost had built up on the vents so that the cooling air could not circulate. This was caused by a defective temperature sensor. I told him to fix and he went right to work. It took him about twenty minutes because he had to take various pieces off for the repair. He cleaned up and explained to me what he had done. Was very professional.
