The BEST PEOPLE who do THE BEST WORK! Quality is hard to find around these days and Hodges Landscaping has exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend utilizing these talented people, you will not be disappointed!!

I met Kyle at the rental property at which we do not currently reside to go over what we wanted to accomplish and to make things simple replace with same type plants. Shrubs were old and woody. Right when we were going to give the go ahead with the landscape job, Florida put a stay at home order on citizens due to COVID-19. Hodges Landscaping said he could work outside during the pandemic and plants were on sale now we could save $600. The job was $4,100. with the discount. We were sure to tell him irrigation was working good currently and to please put back same. Kyle said he may have to run a drip line at the front entrance sidewalk. Work was started early April 03,2020. I was called to the property for final payment at 10 am following morning he said they were almost finished. I went with mask and gloves and it was great to have new green plants. I saw the front where the tenants walked in to their apartments main access and all the new plants were against the sidewalk and not in the middle of the planting bed. I asked Kyle why the plants were planted against the side walk and he said it's suppose to be that way so all the new bark can be seen on the parking lot side.. I was feeling very uneasy about it but I was trying to justify his expertise in my mind. I didn't do a close inspection of the work as I trusted him as a Super Service Award winner to have done what we discussed. I was called by Kyle the following day he said someone turned off the sprinkler system he checked before he left the job last day he was there. I found that odd as the current tenants have never caused any trouble. Kyle said kids probably did it. Then he says he set the sprinkler timer again. The sprinkler system only comes on twice a week. Then there was a big flood as the tenants called me water was all over the sidewalks a flood all over the front. I called Kyle who was on another job and he didn't come back for two and a half days. When he went over he said someone stole the drip line. Why would someone take a plant drip line? Kyle said he put it in his self and it was there. I called all the tenants and asked if they saw anyone up front by the sidewalk. They didn't see anyone come take anything. They said no strangers were there only the landscapers. Tenants said the sidewalk was flooded since the new landscape was put in and all their houses were full of mud and water. I was also sent pictures by the tenants of the flood. My husband said he would replace the drip line as Kyle from Hodges Landscaping said he wanted $239.00 to put in a new replacement drip line we never saw. When my husband checked on the cost of the missing part it cost $35.00 retail. Now the water had to be shut off to the new plantings and I had to go over and hand water all the new plants and this is when I noticed the kind of job I got. A rush job. All the plants were against the last parking slot where the passenger side car door opens. Tenants can't get out of the passenger door. I specifically expressed my concern about this and how the new bed needed to come out further so to have a safe distance to get out of cars. Being a swale at edge of property I asked him to be aware and not fill it in with soil. I left it to him how he would get achieve the goal. (I did pay 375.00 on the paid invoice for top soil). While I was going to property several days in a row hand watering I expressed my concern to Kyle Hodges Landscaping about the plants at front sidewalk not in the middle of planting and secondly the plants being planted against the last parking space. I wanted him to come back and fix it.. I have contacted him many times about us being unsatisfied about the rush job starting with the flood which I'm thinking the tenants tried to stop themselves by turning off the sprinkler timer. Something was not connected. I asked #1) The front walkway tenants main entrance plants are against the sidewalk not in middle of bed please put in middle, #2) the parking lot plants scratching the passenger side car doors and no walk space and also now #3) after some moderate wind the top heavy plants in roadside were popping out of the ground. Kyle acted like it was our fault the plants were coming out of the ground. It is evident they need to be staked in some fashion. I don't think it should be my job to go stake them. Today I asked him for what is the fourth time to please fix his work and he said this time he would go but he would be sending us another bill. I don't think I should have to pay again for him to fix his work. He told me that I shouldn't of paid him if I wasn't happy. I really wanted him to go fix his work without a formal complaint , I picked him and trusted him being a Super Service Award Winner which he reminded me that he was. I am really disappointed.

Very well. We have plenty more projects for Hodges landscaping.

I want to thank them for coming out and doing a thorough and phenomenal job removing our 14’ ficus from our property line that acted like a makeshift privacy fence in our backyard. Now we’re able to enjoy sunsets again and not worry our 3 dogs will get injured while playing and running when they’re out. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

We needed to change the landscaping in the front yard from mulch to rocks, including installing a weed mat, all while keeping existing plants. We contacted 3 businesses to get estimates. Kyle was by far the best in terms of communication which is very important for us. He kept us informed ALL the time throughout the process, started a few days later as agreed, working all day both days and completed the job exactly as planned. We definitely recommend Hodges Landscaping and more!

Hodges did a great job. We had them remove quite a bit of older landscaping, curbing, shrubs and rocks and replace most of our back yard with new sod. Everything was completed in a timely manner and looks great. Didn't break the bank either. We would definitely use them again.
