Originally from IL, John Boss (Father) and Nick Boss (Son), opened their Cape Coral, FL location in 2004. A friend asked me recently about our experience at Floor Mart. After I gave her an honest review, I realized that I never left a public review. I cannot recommend enough that you do not use this company. I could write a massive paragraph about all the issues we had with them but I'll try to keep it short & simple. Firstly, the installation crews are not skilled and quite frankly inexperienced. The crew leader even admitted this to me, that several of his workers were in training. My home and $24K+ project are not a training ground. Secondly, when I complained about the bad job, I was told that I was insane, abusive and needed to be medicated by the owner of Floor Mart. Long story short, we had to withhold payment in order for him to replace several things that his crew damaged in our home and instead of accepting accountability for those mistakes he proceeded to file a lien on our house for non-payment, insisted that we were broke and couldn't afford to pay our bill and denied the problems existed even with photo and video evidence. I invited him to come over and see it with his own eyes which he declined. I sent over bank records proving it wasn't a financial issue and he still insisted that we were broke and I was crazy. He also never finished the job, my husband had to finish grouting the project and painting our new baseboards in multiple areas of the house. During the duration of the lien, the owner said he would finish these items once he was paid. But once he got paid, he said that he never said that (even though it was in writing via email) and refused to finish the job. I have never in my life crossed paths with someone so unprofessional. Save yourself some frustration and go with another company. I filed reports with both the DBPR & BBB and each one said because Floor Mart was hired by our GC as a sub-contractor we weren't able to pursue anything against them. They lucked out on that. Pictures attached of how they left the job at our house, to be clear, none of these items were fixed & this only scratches the surface of how poorly this job was done.

Juan Sanchez was also patient, detailed, professional, and did an wonderful job with the carpet and flooring. Impressive clean-up! The wrong grout color was applied to part of the job and unequal tile sizes to the other part. When we contacted the business to ask how it would be fixed and by when, we couldn't get any straight answers. Instead of being apologetic, the owner went on a tirade on Facebook messenger and text messages to my wife and I - attempting to make us seem unreasonable. We contacted a lawyer who advised us to write a letter of demand and request everything in writing. After the demands were met, we wrote some negative reviews to share our dissatisfaction. In response to a Google review, the owner made a defamatory remark in a response to my wife. He also stated that "all warranties are now void." In a response to my review he called me "a dick." The lack of professionalism speaks for itself. The owner's combative tone and the fact he attempted to belittle/defame my wife are one of the many reasons we will not do business with this company nor recommend them ever again.

At no charge, I applied a sealant and grout colorant to appease your her.....whom was asking for money off the since the first day we started. Your job is absolutely perfect, and was completed 4 days ahead of schedule. You and your friends have now left over 10 reviews......customers are smart enough to take into consideration the real ones. Your warranties are void, because you didn't pay your invoice in full and your wife was belligerent to my installers, my staff, and me. Our reputation speaks for itself. Have a nice day."

CUSTOMER BEWARE! We tiled our whole house with Floor-Mart and it was the worst experience we have ever had with any company, period. The owner, Nick Boss, will spin a web of excuses, half-truths and flat out lies rather than taking ownership for multiple mistakes. We have pictures of the way our home was left (trash, cigarette butts, old carpet nail strips laying around, pieces of tile in our grass, food wrappers inside and outside the house, empty cans, etc.) as well as the “quality” of work we were left with. Do your homework and go with a reputable company with an honest, professional owner and salespeople instead of Floor-Mart!

"A direct quote from [Member Name Removed] (the better half)....."My Wife and I love our new tile. Thank you for taking care of her issues so quickly. I'm sorry for the way she overreacted. We had an issue with a contractor in past." We shook hands and had a laugh. Not all installations go as smoothly as I would like them to. Within 24 hours, I had every single item taken care of on her "List of Demands" that she emailed me. I'm not kidding, that's what she called them. Additionally, I recolored her grout (she didn't like the one she picked), and I also sealed the entire floor at no charge. And to make sure that they were happy customers, I took $500 off their final bill. She had asked repeatedly since the job started, that "there better be an adjustment made." on her bill. I was expecting all A's on this review. In the end, [Member Name Removed] was absolutely floored (pun intended) at how quickly, efficiently, and perfect we made her new floors look. 4 DAYS AHEAD OF SCHEDULE!!! You can judge any contractor by how he handles difficult situations. [Member Name Removed], was the most unfriendly, demanding, and difficult human being that I have ever encountered. In the end, we did what is right.....and we did it timely and perfectly."

Dan and his crew did a great job. On the first day most of the furniture was moved out of the bedrooms. The old rugs were removed and loaded onto the truck. The job was completed on the second day and looked great. They were very professional. I would hire them again.

The whole experience was good from Chuck (salesman) visit to our home for measurements, our visit to the store to choose the carpet style and color, pricing and scheduling. They were able to schedule us for the next week. The crew that arrived to do the work were professional, courteous, helpful and very thorough. They arrived at around 9AM and were done by 3PM. The job included carpeting in the great room/dining area, two bedrooms, hallway and closets. They cleaned everything, replaced all the furniture exactly as we wanted and removed all the old carpet and padding. Before they left, they made sure that we were happy with everything. We definitely recommend FloorMart for carpet work.

After visiting other flooring stores, we found Floor Mart. I say found because we have passed them many times before and did not see the store, as it is set back from Pine Island road with a small sign. We were helped by Jeff, who was very helpful and courteous. We picked out our choice, and made an appointment for an estimate. Jeff came out promptly and gave us a quote. It was not the lowest, but we felt that the floor was worth more and felt comfortable with them because of reviews and experience. Our new floor was installed the next week, very professionally, by some gentlemen who were fast and neat. The end result was a beautiful new floor. One small molding piece was missing, it was ordered and the same crew came back and finished. In this area there are hundreds of flooring stores. You owe it to yourself to stop in and see Jeff. We will recommend him to all our friends without hesitation!

"Not every job goes as planned. The tile installer is extremely experienced. However, this particular 48" long tile was a little more difficult to set, given the waviness of the substrate. We replaced all the tiles that the customer wanted replaced. When it became apparent that nothing is going to make your wife happy (they were upset at every single subcontractor on the job)......we offered a steep discount. We feel that this was what the owners were gunning for from the beginning. We have an impeccable record on Angie's List.....4 year in a row Super Service Award winner. We try our best to make each and every install go smoothly. Sometimes you get a customer that can never be satisfied. :("

We chose this company for two reasons.
Our contractor recommended them for the best prices and
I read the Angie's List reviews on them which had excellent reviews.
The company also has a sign posted on their entrance door about their rating with Angie's List.
New condo:  Had wood laminate installed in an office.  I paid a decorator to coordinate installation.
She was onsite when the work was done.
After installation but while finishing up, I arrived and noticed the flooring was installed in the wrong direction.  I checked with my decorator and she told me she had informed them which way to install before the installation.  We ended up with a choice.
Either take the flooring back up or give us a price break to leave it as it was.  We negotiated a price break.
We also had new carpet installed in three bedrooms.
Installation went smoothly, however we noticed a bump in the master bedroom carpet after they left.
We called and after a few weeks, got the crew to come back.
They pulled back the carpet and found a piece of metal that had been left underneath.
They commented on how it had gotten there.  I looked at them a little puzzled.
After removal and reinstallation of the carpet, it looked fine and I tipped them for returning.
The men were nice enough however one drawback was that only one spoke good English.
We were pleased with the work (except when we observe the room with the laminate) and their followup on the carpet.  It is difficult to ascertain whether or not their prices were good since we did not survey any other carpet/laminate stores.
Salesman was very courteous and all the workers were professional

Since we were new to the area and needed new carpet for our living room I searched Angie's List for a provider.  Floor Mart was highly rated, so I called and requested a free estimate. We followed the Saturday morning estimate with a visit to Floor Mart to select new carpet. They had plenty of carpet inventory to choose from and the prices were reasonable. We made our choice, scheduled a date for installation, and paid for the carpet (also received a discount as an Angie's List member). The installer they sent was on time and friendly, and he did a great job. I don't know when our next flooring need will arise, but when it does, Floor Mart will be my first contact.

Excellent  We had the floor removed in springtime ( we are snowbirds) and the installation in October.  They were on time and completed all work in a professional manner. We worked with Jeff Schoeneck as our sales rep and also coordinator of all timelines and rapid problem solving when difficulties arose.  Ex. bathroom floor had to be raised up because the level of toilet base and flooring were at different heights Floormart"s installers solved the problems quickly. All crews that worked on the job (tile removers, preparation for flooring to be installed, flooring installers and carpenters that worked on baseboard) were very helpful to us. It was easy to contact Floormart at the store and we were in frequent communication with Jeff throughout the week both by phone and in person.
