First Class, Air Conditioning

They were easy to reach and showed up on time. We liked them so much, we hired them to service our other home.

Easy. they came they did.They went.

Its so hard to find quality, skilled trades people today. Today, I had the pleasure of having Jose work on my AC unit. He had no problem as I watched him and he was forthcoming with the questions I had. He repaired my unit and made sure it was working satisfactorily before packing up his tools and completing the invoice. I am pleased and happy that it was a good experience. Tonight, the house is cool and comfortable.

I found this company through Angie's List - they were highly rated. I was able to make an appointment at my convenience. The service man arrived on time and was very efficient and professional. They honored the "Angie's list" discount for their customers. I highly recommend this company.

The service tech arrived immediately after I called as there had been a cancellation. The inspection, cleaning, and testing lasted about 30 minutes. Prior to leaving he emailed me a 2 page technical report of the units operation and efficiency. There was no charge as the service was part of a prepaid service agreement.

After a thorough check everything was working very well.

The technician worked hard under adverse conditions in the attic areas where temperatures were well over 100 degrees and outside on the two compressor units in outside temps of 90+ degrees. He tested and adjusted both systems over a range of specifications aimed at keeping these systems running at peak performance and provided me with a comprehensive report on the status of each unit.. He reported one system was low on R22 freon and was therefore not sustaining a good working range. He explained the cost of freon which is not included in the maintenance agreement. He also indicated that at 15 years of use this system will be a candidate for replacement, the low freon possibly a leaking component and asked if I would like their expert to visit to discuss possible replacement which I declined in favor of replacing the freon at this time. I consider the fifteen years I have gotten from this particular system to be a direct result of the service provided by this company. I have used them since I discovered my original installations provided by the builder of my home were dissimilar units from different manufacturers which did not work too well. My other system I had replaced after 12 years, the replacement performed by the same company with a highly professional specialist installation team, upgrading all the ducting to allow for a higher seer, more efficient system. Their technicians are pros and keep me as their customer fully informed on their progress and findings.

Good job. Tech recommended an additional sensor to protect the a/c unit when we are away from our condo. He explained the workings of the sensor and how it would protect the unit.

He came out and knew right away how to make this work although it was tough since my AC was incompatible with it. My thermostat is wifi connected so I can see the temps in my home in FL when I am in NH. He was a friendly, his name was John.

I had been dealing with another company since moving to Florida seven years ago. Every time they came it was something different that was wrong or something they could do to make the equipment work better. When the air quit working on a Tuesday, I called to have them look at it. they came on Wednesday and flushed out a pipe and said it was working. it stopped that night and I called them the next day and they said it would be awhile before they could send someone . I felt they should make this a priority because they were just here. That's when I called First Class from favorable clients on Angies List. They came when they said and the technician described what he did and also told me about things the other company had done in their service to me. I was very happy with the service and defiantly will use them again. P.S. You also could read what they did on their invoices not some scribble that no one can read!

First Class definitely has the right name for themselves. They answer the phone quickly and personally and set an appointment for extremely prompt service. They have always arrived on time and their work is handled with professionalism. I'm extremely happy I found the great reviews on Angie's list before contacting them and I myself am now one of their happy customers.

Provider was very thorough, professional and friendly. He explained everything he did and answered all our questions. Checked and tested relevant pressures and operation of internal unit. Cleaned coils etc. and provided proper type of filter. Checked outdoor component of the unit cleaned the coils, cleaned and polished the cabinet and labeled the outdoor unit and power box. We confidently recommended the provider to our neighbor since he did such a good job for us..

The Tech (Eric) arrived on time and made me feel welcome watching him work and asking questions. I was concerned that the unit was a total loss and feared the replacement was the only option. Eric remained positive and explained his assessment procedure as he did it. He made it clear that his company would be happy to replace the unit but that his VP had encouraged him "assess the unit" and make sure that replacement was indicated. Our unit is repaired and functioning normally. First Class was First Class all the way!

We have just moved to SW Florida and really did not know who to call, we used Angie's List for recommendations. Everybody was right on with this company. The tech was on time very cordial and professional. He explained the problem and corrected the issue.

The way that Brad came out and explained things in layman's terms so that I can understand them. They cleaned up after themselves. They explained to me exactly how the thermostat works. They were really professional. I will definitely call them back in a heartbeat. As a matter of fact, I will be using them for service. They were truthful in what they told me. They did not pull any punches. They wrote it out in the contract before I signed anything.

iI first contacted them for a quote after reading reviews on Angies List. Brad came out the next day and did a very though inspection. I was impress at the amount of time spent in the attic surveying the entire system. Brad also pointed out some unrelated issues that needed to be addressed by other contractors. I have only lived in the home for a year so I had no previous knowledge about what type of work had been done previously. I called Brad Monday morning and by 11 A.M. he had a crew with the replacement AC at my house. I was impressed with the quality of the work that they completed. They even cleaned out all the trash from a previous contractor that had done very shoddy work. The job was completed by 2 P.M. The air flow in my house is easily more than double than before they completed the work. They installed new duct work and sealed every seam with mastic. In addition they advised me that by simply redirecting my sprinkler system I could probably double the life of my outside AC unit. The current unit had been badly corroded by the reuse water provided by Cape Coral for irrigation. I would highly recommend them for both promptness and the high quality of the work.

Things went okay, the labor was expensive and the part took a while to arrive, but eventually all was working. Would not hire again, due to the fact that I found out that they truly are an unscruplous company, and they ripped me off really bad at another house location - after this job. Although, in all honesty this job went okay, I could not recommend them or ever use them again, based upon other factors that occurred a few months later.

We just moved down to Naples and wanted our A/C unit tuned. Also, we had an air flow issue in one of the rooms for our baby daughter. I called First Class based on their great Angie's list reviews, and they did not disappoint. They were able to get someone out the same day I called and also worked to accomodate our specific time schedules. We used the Angie's list service special, and they did a very thorough job and helped explain how to use only one filter at the main unit rather than multiple ones in the house. The service was extremely professional, and we are glad we chose First Class for HVAC needs.anc

From the time they came out for the estimate till they left after the work was done, the people working for this company could not have been more pleasant. Each person had extensive knowledge of what they were doing, how it should be done and took the time to make sure it was done right. We were very impressed with how meticulous they were throughout the entire process. I am sure the job took a bit longer than they originally estimated but that did not stop them from completing the work without hurrying through it. All-in-all we felt we received a solid value for a quality effort.

This company installed an a/c unit two years almost to the day that the a/c blower motor burned out. I knew the part was under a 10 yr warranty. When I called I was not told that we had to pay for the labor and I neglected to ask, being under the impression that it was covered. I was shocked when I was handed a bill for $331.85 for one hour worth of work. The tech arrived around 1:30 and left shortly after 2:30. A neighbor had the same thing happen to him and the company he used charged him $150. When I quesitoned the manager about his cost he informed me that he had expenses I had to pay for such as the freight and the cost of the time in filling out the warranty paperwork for the company. Oh, really? I thought a warranty meant I didn't have to pay. I have no complaints with the employees they are very professional and respectful, but don't know whether I will do business with them again.

The technician showed up as planned and did the work as advertised in several hours.

Frank arrived on time and was very professional in his work and manners. I only get our contractors from Angie's List and would choose First Class Air Conditioning in a heartbeat.

Other Angie's List customers need to know that I have used various A/C companies in the last 24 years in Southwest Florida and this was the first company to provide such an excellent /thorough service and follow-up. I am completely satisfied with First Class Air Conditioning and will continue to use this company because they are "First Class....Second to None!" Also note there are home improvement stores that have entered into an agreement with some HVAC companies, thereby, allowing them to provide literature about their services in the home improvement stores. However, they may not, necessarily, be the best company for your needs. Angie's List helped me sift through all of the HVAC companies to pick a winner such as First Class Air Conditioning. I wish I had done it before. Thank you Angie's List! .

They had a promotion thru Angie's List for the spring service. Very good price of $64.50. The tech that came to the house was very professional and pleasant. He did a completely thorough job from top to bottom. The office personnel that I talked with were also very pleasant and professional. I wound up taking a service contract for the balance of the year. It requires a small deposit that locks in very favorable rates for weekends and holidays (usually when a/c's break down). Then the deposit is applied to next years spring service. I would recommend this company to anyone that needs a "First Class Air Conditioning" company. Thanks Angie.
