Distinctive Tile & Marble Incorporated is a family owned and operated company. We are committed to providing you with outstanding customer service, competitive pricing and superior craftsmanship. All of our projects are completed by the owner of the company, so the need for subcontractors is eliminated. We have been installing ceramic tile, porcelain, stone, marble and other various materials for the past 20 years, bringing our knowledge and artistry to each project. Through all of this, we have created a profound reputation because of our customer referrals. All of our estimates are free as a courtesy to potential customers. Our city license # is 08-00010921. We are bonded and fully insured at a maximum of $1 million per occurence and $2 millon per general aggregate.

We would like to thank Distinctive Tile and Flooring for all of their hard work installing our entire condo with beautiful laminate flooring. They provided top quality for a fair price. Joey, the owner of Distinctive Tile and Flooring, and John were very professional, helpful and they attended to all of our needs. Mid-way through our project, we decided to add some "extras". They took on the lanai project without hesitation. Joey and John gave us great ideas and were so accommodating. We would highly recommend them.

Joey and John were amazing to work with. My house is old and the floors were extremely uneven and quite a challenge to prep. Joey always included me in the decisions and had great ideas for the best outcome. They arrived on time, stayed on schedule, and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Joey did a fantastic job from bidding on our project and assistance with choosing tile all the way through installation and clean up. He and his crew were punctual, professional and treated our home as theirs. We were not present in the home during installation so the entire job was communicated and managed remotely. Joey provided daily progress pictures and spoke with frequently to resolve any issues that arose. His experience was evident during tile selection of materials and he went above and beyond to ensure we would be happy with the tile we chose. In short, he nailed it! We highly recommend him and would definitely use him again for any future flooring project.

- [ ] Distinctive Tile is terrible I wish I could post pictures. I have never been so disappointed with the quality of work performed. I supplied tile and materials they installed. They were the sloppiest workers I have even seen. House was just repainted on inside they left thin set and grout on walls and trim wood work. They nicked every single door jam not just close to floor but 3 ft off the floor, marks on walls where they leaned tile on walls, hand prints all over the walls couldn’t keep their hands off walls. Ok they got tile level the floor was unlevel so they had to float it. Grout job was terrible my biggest complaint I can clean up the mess they left but there are voids, its not evenly applied in joints, thin set was left in joints in many places and grout is thin in those places. Joe moped floor after grouting which removed a thin layer of grout exposing white thin set below grout looks terrible. - [ ] Now the back splash tile brand new cabinets grout all over the bottom of cabinets. The wall tile looks like they never wiped grout off it but it was wiped because its smeared all over tile. 4 hrs of me scrubbing it looks great now. I sent Joe owner/installer pictures and asked him to come by to see what I was complaining about. He said pictures alway look worse than it is I said then come by see it for yourself. He said he was to busy to come by of course he had been paid, said he would send his father in law by he’s the one who did sloppy work on wall tile I told him if that was who was going to address the issues I would never be happy to not bother sending him. Joe could never be bothered to come by himself but he knew the problems he was here on the job the whole time just didn’t want to deal with it. All I can say after spending $16k on installation labor using Distinctive Tile Is that would never recommend or use them Again. I recommend never giving contractor a dollar on a install job until work is completed and then spend plenty of time inspecting work before paying them, many you will never get to return to fix mistakes. Says something about a companys financial situation when they can’t afford to pay help until job is completed.

I do not claim to be perfect but I definitely try my best to please each and every one of my clients to the fullest as you could see in my other reviews . I responded to every phone call the customer sent out to me. I told him I would come by to clean up .the job was done right there was just some grout on the wall where the new baseboard would have covered and a couple handprints here in there that wipe right off with the sponge. The company's financial situation really has nothing to do with this review I'm not sure where that statement even came from we have been going strong for over 15 years now that should say enough. As far as the tile work goes and the grout when you have an inch of mud on your floor it is normal to have settling in the grout Which I told him I would come and fix. At the end of the job I told him to do a walk-through and make sure he was happy with everything before he paid me.he did so I don’t know what else to say besides I answered every call and I was there to make it right either way.After a handful of late night phone calls From theHome owner that weren’t too pleasant I figured there was nothing else I could do at that point. I told him I would personally come by and fix any issues that he has and he said no do not worry about it I will do it myself . I did everything I could do to rectify the problem. If any potential clients would like to see work or speak with any of my previous clients I have plenty that will do so."

We had a very specific and out of the ordinary concept for our master bath, a vintage inspired look with a bold blue pebble floor detail. Joey and John made quick work gutting the bathroom and prepping for the new tile. As my wife suffers from allergies they made an extra effort to keep dust from getting through out the house during this process. As the project proceeded Joey would come to us and ask if we had a preference for a certain detail or layout, often offering suggestions for improving on what we had agreed to, in every instance we were glad we went with his suggestions. When there an issue that needed to be addressed Joey was quick to offer a solution. As the project came to a close we could tell we had hired the right team to bring our vision to fruition. His pricing was fair especially for the quality of work provided. Every detail, from the walls and accent border to the floors and built in niches exceeded our expectations. We now have a WOW bathroom and our thankful for discovering Distinctive Tile & Marble. We will be using them for the next bathroom remodel. Highly recommended. MV

They did a wonderful job. The tear out was quick and painless. Our floors were not level, so they had to do much work to make the surface correct. They went above and beyond to assure the tiles were level, while also repairing minor cracks in cement. We had a few issues with the tile estimate (did not get enough originally) but the owner went above and beyond by finding the correct die lot and driving over 2 hours to pick up the remaining tile! Overall, highly recommend.

It was great. He had to tear out all carpet and old tile and then tile. We went out of town for a week and it was done when we got home. It was great. He is very professional and does what he says. Sent us pictures of the progress everyday.

Top workmanship and professionalism! A year later, we are stilled thrilled with the results. Distinctive Tile & Marble remodeled two small bathrooms and tiled the lanai in our condominium. Punctual and personable, Joey quoted a fair price for the work, gave us great suggestions, and assigned a phenomenal one-man crew to complete the job. Mike worked steadily and meticulously, with his trusty level and tape measure—he carefully cleaned up at the end of work each day. He took the initiative to correct the typical kinds of problems that arise in a remodeling project. If we had another project, we would hire Distinctive Tile again, and we have recommended them to others.

I hired and worked with Distinctive (Fort Myers Area) from out of town (Chicago Area) and they did excellent work. They kept me apprised of their work plans on a day to day basis and sent pictures of before, after and some options. They communicated questions and answers very well and coordinated with the property management. They assisted with and advised on selections of tile and related products. They also took on and did an excellent job painting the unit at my request given a gap in scheduled projects. They honored all estimates despite some extra, conscientious efforts. Felt like a team working together. We most highly recommend Distinctive.

From my very 1st contact to my last with Joey it was smooth sailing. He couldn’t have been nicer or more respectful! The job came out better than I had expected. Mike was fantastic with his work. Both were very knowledgeable and patient with me. Even though the job I had done did not need Joey on site, he stayed in contact with me to make sure everything was going good! Joey and his crew did an incredible job of tiling our home, renovating 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Joey and his crew went above and beyond in helping to make this an enjoyable renovation and made us feel like we were right there while they were working at our home in Cape Coral even though we were actually 1200 miles away in Indiana. From the day my husband and I told Joey we wanted him to to our home Joey went into expertise mode and helped us with everything from putting us in contact with Sam at Tile Outlet who all we had to basically tell Sam we wanted our home to look modern and wanted the house to open up. We told Sam what colors we like and he was able to give great suggestions and all was picked out in about 2 hours. Joey is a perfectionist at what he does and it shows and we are over joyed with the way our home has turned out. I have told him several times it doesn't even look like the home we left in the middle of July. The home looks so big, kitchen ceiling looks remarkable, and the showers in the bathrooms are beyond belief!!! Joey even tiled our front entryway into our home which really looks fantastic and put in a beautiful tile medallion in entryway...it looks beautiful!!! If you want exceptional customer service, experienced and someone who has expertise in tile work and renovating bathrooms and kitchens call Joey at Distinctive Tile and Marble. He is the greatest and will do a great job on your home!!!!

Joey Freeman is an amazing artist when it comes to ceramic tile. He returned my calls promptly and did what he promised and more in the time he told us. The remodel was difficult and dusty, but the crew was very professional and cleaned up daily then thoroughly following completion of the work. We opted for the minimum grout lines which was more expensive, but as you can see from the before and after pics, well worth the extra expense. Freeman is just one of many great professionals that we have found on Angie's List.

The work of Joey and his crew over at Distinctive Tile & Marble can only be described as impeccable. Joey is a perfectionist and he and his partner, Mike, did an absolutely wonderful job on our bathroom. Distinctive Tile recently completed a bathroom remodel in my condo where they installed marble tile throughout the entire area. Everything is beautiful! It quickly became evident that their many years of experience and skill in numerous trades would result in a masterpiece. Mike is meticulous and his work is precise and clean. He is reliable and always showed up when he said he would which is representative of his professionalism. Mike and Joey have great design ideas and had a quick solution for the few minor problems that we incurred during the remodel. I will use him for any other work I need done in my condo. Joey was right on time and handled everything. All we had to do was select the materials and he did the rest. Travertine is not easy to install but he and Leo did a fantastic job. Very professional, punctual and they even cleaned up every evening. I would definitely hire them again.
