I was not at the property when the work was done, but my tenants told me that the company did an excellant job. They called and made arrangements to do the job and showed up on time. The tenants were told how long the job should take and it was performed in the planned time. They also completely cleaned up the job site before leaving. I would  use them again.

John Scott's crew did an excellent job and finished it in one day.

Contacted 5 different roofers from Angie's List.  Bids ranged from $7,400. - $9,700.  Scott's Roofing had a good bid and I felt comfortable with the results of Angie's List.  Had to wait 10 weeks, due to all the work they had from tropical storm.  Did a great job,  didn't hurt my plants and cleaned up quickly.  (Only took two days)

The crew showed up on time every day.  They cleaned up before leaving each day and there was never a mess.

Great!  The price was good, and so far the work is good!  They were there when they said, and kept in touch if there was any change.

They did a great job.  They did it for the amount he quoted and he cleaned up very nicely.  As far as we can tell it’s fine; we had an inspector look at it.  The job went perfectly.  They did it in one day.  They brought their equipment in to remove that tile roof which created a considerable amount of debris.  They cleaned up well and everything’s great.  We got other estimates and they were a couple thousand dollars cheaper than some of them.  They were very professional.  When I called them about anything, John Scott himself would answer.  If it was something the office needed to do he’d give me their number or have them call me back.  They came the day they said they’d come. They were able to do it within three weeks of me calling them and that was with a shortage of roofing materials because of hurricanes and tornadoes across the country.  They were able to get the tile off and get the roof on in a very reasonable amount of time. They were way above average in professionalism.  They don’t hire day labor and their GM has been with them for years; they’re bonded and insured.  They may not be the biggest company in the area but they are reliable and they do a good job.  I would absolutely use him again and I would refer him.

He was there everyday making sure the job was done right. Took pictures for the insurance company and filled out the forms we needed to send in. He was great!

The crew arrived early in the morning, worked steadily for two days and cleaned up well.  The roof looks beautiful and is a big improvement over the old roof.

Give us a true good estimate. They started earlier and finished ahead of time. The over all job was great, they did more than expected.

We called the company and Mr. Scott himself met with us a day or two later, clearly explaining everything involved in the job, supplying samples, prices, options, etc.  We had about a 3-4 week wait time for job day, but that was in keeping with the lag time of the other companies we called. One reason we picked them was that their price estimate was $700 - !000 less than any of the companies we had met with. Also we weren't pressured into having unnecessary extra services done, such as insulation, etc, as a couple other companies had done. Also, he agreed to do all the paperwork for Wind Mitigation for our Insurance company and for the State.  The work crew arrived early on the appointed day and were finished by the same afternoon.  They were friendly and appeared to work quite efficiently and did an excellent job of cleaning up afterwards.  The job easily passed the necessary inspections and we received all our paperwork in a timely fashion. We examined the results when they left, noting the quality of the work.  We would definitely recommend this company and would call them in the future for any other roofing needs.

They did an excellent but we have a fireplace and there was a teeny little leak around the fireplace. After we had the new roof put on the leak in that location was worse than it was before. They did not replace the flashing and had they replaced it initially, we would have had no problem. The crew was excellent and there wasn't a nail or shingle left behind. They were fantastic. I would recommend them because they always got back to me whenever I called after the leaking problems; it just took them a long time to solve the issue.  We didn't know anything about roofing and we didn't know that the flashing needed to be replaced; that was their job. The price was good and we were very pleased with the price. The quality was excellent and the crew was fantastic.

We got bids from different companies, but John Scott not only came in lower than the other ones we got, he gave us a better deal for materials and labor.  He told us that it would be about three weeks before he could come out and do the job (which was perfectly fine with us, as this was not an emergency situation). We got a call about 2 1/2 weeks later and he was ready to come and do the work. On the morning of the job, the roofing crew got there on time and got right to work. And let me say, this crew was AMAZING... there were about 5 guys working and they all worked like a "well oiled machine" - they stopped once to eat lunch.. other than that, they worked right through the day. In a matter of 8-9 hours, they had all the shingles off, all the rotted wood removed, the new wood replaced, the roof completely re-shingled, all the waste hauled away, and the grounds cleaned up. When we got the final bill, it was exactly what we expected.. the original bid, plus a bit extra because we needed extra wood (all the wood over the patio needed to be completely replaced as well as some of the 2x4's as it was all rotted through). This was part of the original bid that any extra lumber needed would be added to the final cost (once again, we were perfectly ok with this as we really didn't know how much rotten wood was over the patio) Overall, we are COMPLETELY satisfied with the whole process and the price.. in fact, we have been recommending John Scott roofing to all our neighbors that need to have roof work done - it's quality work and at a reasonable price.

It went well from start to finish.

They were referred to me by my dad. My dad was having some roofing problems at the same time as I was looking for estimates, so I used him for a reference. I haven't had the actual repair done as yet. I am still looking to get some more references to go against that one. I was comfortable with their estimate and it sounded valid. My dad used them. My dad gave me a good reference. They did good work for him. I ultimately may go with them, but I like to do a little bit of homework before I go with a particular company for repair. The roof is relatively new and is probably only 7 years old. The guy was able to locate the leak in my roof, so to repair it wouldn't take a large amount of work. I liked his quote, but I have nothing to compare it with because I haven't pursued it with other companies yet. If I find somebody else with a much lower quote, that might beat his quote. I am happy with the quote though. It took them a little while to get back to me. My dad used them in the past. They fixed the problem for him. It was priced good for my dad. They actually came back a number of times until they actually resolved the problem. I had looked up several other companies for the roofing job, but didn't have any luck with any of them.

Excellent. They were one of 5 bids. They were not the lowest (or highest) but offered the best service explanation, commitment to follow up. While I had to wait a month for the project, it was worth it. They had a first class crew and it only took 2 days. Great clean up and now payments up front.
