Manatee Furniture

My wife and I wanted to replace our dark leather sofa with one that would brighten our living room. Budget was an issue. Our neighbor told us about this store whose website proclaims "Area's Finest Selection of Top End Used Furniture." They are that and more. In addition to acquiring estate furnishings, they purchase for resale display furniture from model homes as well as overstock from other furniture outlets. We spotted a new looking sofa and learned it was one of a half-dozen (most still wrapped in plastic) that Manatee Furniture got from Kanes. The price was $599. We negotiated a trade for our old couch (which was still in good shape, but too dark for our new condo), and Manatee's people delivered the new couch and picked up the old one. The story does not end there. Less than two weeks later, I noticed one arm of the new couch was not perpendicular to the floor. I could move it back and forth about three quarters of an inch. So I called Manatee Furniture expecting the usual "sold as is" line. In fact, I intended to ask for instructions to fix it myself. The owner, Fred, said "Don't attempt that. Because of the electric recliner mechanism these things are tough to repair. We still have a couple in the store. Let us just swap it out." Fred didn't have to do that. It was purchased, after all, as "used," although all six appeared brand new. His people once again arrived exactly on the date and time we'd agreed to, disassembled the first couch, carried it out to their truck, and brought in the second one. All the while they were careful of our walls and other furniture, while being both pleasant and courteous. We could not have asked for a better experience throughout this transaction.
