SANDY'S LAWN SERVICE

They were very good at first. Then they started coming every other week. Then they would forget and it would be 3 weeks. I'd have to call & they would apologize but it happened too many times. I discontinued using this company.

At first Sandy's was hired for lawn service and was recommended. We had to go out of town and hired Sandys for complete lawn service (lawn maint, fertilization & sprinkler sys management). They described a total care system and assured us our lawn would be monitored and adjustments made as necessary. We started getting large water bills and asked that the system be looked at. Sandys found that the sprinkler system had been set (admittedly by THEIR employee) to run on 4 programs all at the same time. The excess water was not noted by the company entrusted to care for our lawn & their employees just kept driving over the soaked back yard making ruts while we were out of town. They found one broken sprinkler as well. When I asked why they had not noted it previously they stated the system was scheduled to come on early in the AM before the crew arrives so no one really noticed it. REALLY, isn't this exactly I was promised and what I am paying several hundred dollars per month for? And why did they just keep driving over the wet grass making ruts without at least wondering why the grass was so wet?????? Because NO ONE was monitoring….. They admitted to setting the sprinkler system incorrectly but took NO responsibility (rather rudely I might add) for the incorrect setting, the high water bills we paid, nor the neglect of even noticing a broken sprinkler head in the front yard. Sandy's inattention to a job they were paid to do cost us $600 OVER our normal summer water bill during a 2-month billing cycle while costing over $500 for their total care lawn services during this same time. We also lost a palm tree without notification- guess it was drowned. The ruts in the sodded yard are still there- Horrible when so much money has been paid! They refused to take ANY accountability, and wouldn't even offer a credit on their services for the excessive water bills or the property damage. We ended the service and refuse to do business with them again (they have been paid in full, reluctantly). I told this to the realtor who recommended Sandy's in hope they would reserve recommendation in the future. I do NOT recommend Sandy's "lawn service" company

This company does an excellent job with lawn maintenance and helped us on short notice with our yard. Now they regularly maintain our lawn. This company has different options to meet a variety of needs. I would recommend this lawn care company to anyone living in the Anna Maria Island/Holmes Beach area.
