I called John on 12/9/17 to get a quote for a remodel of my 2 bathrooms, vanities and upstairs flooring. The message said he he was on vacation. I never heard back so called again after the holidays on 01/06/18 and left another message. I got a call on the 13th (Saturday) from John. Said he was swamped and getting back from vacation, so I understood. We made an appointment for 12:00 on the 17th and he requested me to text my address which I did. I asked that he call me 30 minutes prior as I wasn't at the location. I did call him again to confirm the appointment because i hadn't heard back. He finally replied, he got it. At 12:00 pm on the day of the appointment he said he was running behind and would be there at 30 minutes. He finally texted me at 1:30 and said he was 30 minutes away. I told him I was now pressed for time. Then he said he he had the location wrong and was at my house. Although annoyed, I understand things can happen. He took some notes, measurements, and I gave him a floor plan and my e-mail address to get a quote. I NEVER heard back from him again. Not a call, text, email, nothing. I guess he is busy, but it's just not professional to do that. I guess he does some good work based on the reviews. That's why I called, however my experience was totally a negative one.

Work was done in a timely manner, better than the builder did and at a reasonable price. John and his guys are very friendly and take great pride in their work. I enjoy working with them and will be doing another project with them soon.

Outstanding job in every aspect. Hurricane Irma hit in the middle of the remodeling. The day our electricity came on, Villa's showed up to continue working. During the remodel we discovered a leak through a window. They not only sealed the leak, but removed the affected wood and replaced it. They showed up on time every day and offered to work weekends. The work they perform is second to none. There is an amazing attention to detail in all the work they do. I would hire them again and I highly recommend them.

My wife and I were looking to remodel our master bathroom and got a few quotes. After being discouraged with the people who came out and the estimates we received, we called John Villas. He was very friendly, accommodating and he came back to us with a very competitive estimate. John was able to see our vision and help us to make it a reality. After demo, John went over the job with us and made great suggestions on how we should proceed. Tile work is impeccably tight with beveled edges. Walls and ceilings are smooth and straight. Not one short cut was taken even if it cost them more money to do it right. Johns staff is some of the most friendly and trusted employees that we have worked with. We felt very comfortable leaving them alone in the house. My wife and I are very pleased with our bathroom and could not have expected a better job from a better group of guys. We definitely will be using John and the guys at Villas remodeling again. Do not hesitate to use this company, you will be very pleased!

I had already had John from Villas Construction renovate the interior of my home earlier in the year, which that went amazing! So I hired him for my new pool construction without hesitation, as he and his employees are true professionals! I had an idea and some what of a vision of what I wanted but John came over and completely took it to a different level and amazing ideas ! Which we agreed on and he executed 100% ! The end result is beautiful and better that I could have imagined ! Thank you once again John Villa and the whole crew at Villas Construction!

All was done on time beautiful and everything was done in budget. I am very happy with my choice as he was not the lowest or highest bid but the one I felt comfortable with. He has his own team and does not contract out his work.

I already had a very good idea of what I wanted accomplished and I showed John my notes and sketches when he showed up for the estimate. He took his time taking notes and we went over everything. Our second meeting at his office was spent fine tuning the plan and making sure everything I wanted could be done. A detailed contract was written up, gone over line by line and finalized. I must say that I have had other contractors before John walk through my place, look around for 5 minutes and throw out a number. Some lower than John and some higher. Others suggesting things that were not possible due to physical constraints of a condo. John however was quite different. Listening, taking notes, using his experience to explain and suggest. This made It much easier to get the final picture painted and come to an agreement. In the end John accomplished 100% of my vision. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and the price paid. I think it’s easy to fall into the trap of picking a contractor to get the work done quickly as it does interrupt your life for several months but I am very glad I came across John Villa and would recommend him.

Entire process went very smoothly, from the initial estimate all the way through to the completion of the job. John (owner) provided helpful design suggestions and recommended the local tile and marble vendors that we used. John also coordinated with the vendors and with the glass installers on their timing and deliveries, so that we did not have to speak to multiple parties. Only two minor issues occurred during the work and these were swiftly and effectively resolved. Both of the bathrooms turned out beautifully and we are very pleased with their quality and craftsmanship.

After two previous horrible construction jobs by other contractors I was a bit weary to start again - however I didn't need to be! John and his team were helpful, courteous and professional throughout. His team of employees are extremely nice, thorough, and very clean. Their work is top-notch. Some things that really stood out: Their amount of prep - making a complete wall of plastic from ceiling to floor (with a zipper through way) to ensure minimal dust traveling into the bedrooms; protecting the floors with Ram Board AND packing blankets to also help with debris; their willingness to work around my husband's 24 hours on call schedule without complaint; and the fact that every day when they left the work site was ridiculously clean for being mid project. All the people he worked with to install the big stuff (counters, glass shower enclosure) were also very courteous, patient, and willing to work with and listen to me. They also had to deal with the ridiculously tough and anal city who denied our permits 3 times wanting more and more details. Then there were somewhere between 8-11 inspections as the process was happening! That deserves a big applause. When something goes "wrong" they are very willing to work with you and not blame you which is a nice change in the construction world. Our biggest issue was with our shower floor (they resolved it even though it was a material issue and not labor issue) and a change in cabinet width (he fixed it with no additional charge to me) which is why there are no doors in the picture as they were being reordered. I also really appreciated how John recommended several places to use for getting the plumbing, lighting, tile and paint. We had good success and an easier time because of that. He also offered his expertise to other issues that we encountered - like when they had jack-hammered through the slab and found standing water underneath that was rushing in when it was storming - we now have gutters! Ways to easily fix other contractor's errors and suggestions for things that we may not think about (such as decor and such). Lastly I have to say how much I appreciate QUALITY cabinets! These things are so nice and smooth! And literally custom to the inch for us! I would confidently, and have, recommend this company to anyone.

John and his team are excellent! And John, in particular, is a delight to work with. From the beginning, he was always available and extremely responsive. If I called him...he picked up the phone. When we made an appointment...he was there. When I had questions...he answered them clearly. When I pointed out something I wanted addressed...he handled it perfectly. He is thorough, pays attention to details and, above all, takes great pride in his work and in how it is delivered. His pricing is very competitive. I've done many home renovations and can say with certainty that John is one of the most responsible, pleasant and attentive contractors I have ever worked with. If you're renovating something small or big—hire him! I will be doing so again.

Villas previously remodeled my kitchen and master bathroom . This was a much smaller job but i received the same professional attention. The workmanship was outstanding .His employees were prompt, courteous and respectful of the rest of the house. I needed a window installed which required repair work to the exterior stucco of the house and it was executed perfectly. John helped me save money by working with a remnant I found for the counter top. John steered me away from a tile that was not the quality he thought I would be happy with. I'm glad I listened to his suggestions. I love my new bathroom.

I was incredibly pleased with my experience with Villa’s Construction. I hired them (after interviewing several other companies) to renovate our guest bathroom. This may not have seemed a huge project to them cost-wise, but we had been saving up for awhile and were anxious for everything to turn out well. They did not disappoint. I was especially impressed with John’s willingness to sit with me and answer my 4 pages (!) of questions prior to the start of the project. He didn’t rush me and took the time to explain everything in detail. The project was done even more quickly than I had expected! John’s very courteous team arrived early each day and first covered my floors and new carpet in the hallway, which was great. They worked long days to get the project done promptly. On the third day, when the garage was starting to accumulate a bit of dust from everything, his worker even vacuumed the whole place at the end of the day. Amazing! I was quite pleased with the final bathroom and especially with John’s willingness to attend to every detail. He was responsive to all of my texts during the process and even afterwards to finish up a couple of things. My two suggestions: when it came time for me to choose stone for my countertop, I wish that John had been able to provide me with a list of reputable stores to go to. Instead I was driving around pretty aimlessly looking for remnants and wasted a lot of time, and then due to schedules I felt a bit rushed making my final choice (which is a big choice!). Perhaps if he provided customers with a list of names & addresses of places to go that would help. Also, as soon as the demo was done, John asked if we would like our bathroom piping replaced (upgraded to copper). We were surprised to be presented with this question mid-job, since it seems clear that for any renovation like this the issue of piping replacement could come up - I just wish it had been presented prior to that day so we could have had some time to think about it, research, etc. Instead I felt a little rushed making a decision about an additional almost $900 that we hadn't planned to spend. (We did the upgrade and I'm glad we did, but I wish it had been presented to us differently, ahead of time.) Overall, a great job! Highly recommend.

Since the beginning John, the owner, was very professional. On the initial visit, he was very friendly and helpful in providing recommendations and options for each individual room. He offered insight into possible solutions to issues that other contractors did not think of. We made our decision to hire him because of his experience, excellent ratings, and upon learning that he could basically do everything we needed including cutting custom vanity countertops, tile work, plumbing, lighting, etc. His crew started right away, always maintained the work area clean, and did excellent work paying attention to all the minor details. We chose wood plank floor tiles that can be tricky to install with minimal grout lines. We were impressed by how meticulously they measured to make sure all the tiles were straight and level. The ultimate test was when they installed the baseboards and there were no gaps ... everything was perfectly level. Even our regular handyman was impressed by how the floors came out. The level of commitment from his crew and from John himself made this big project easy to handle. We could trust that John was always present to check on the quality of the work and inspect the progress of the project. He was easily accessible and always responded quickly to our questions. We are not new to home remodeling. We have remodeled 2 other places before and used other contractors that did not do work to our expectations. Actually, it was from this experience that we knew hiring the right contractor and construction company could make all the difference between a smooth renovation that we could be proud of, or hardships and compromises. We did not want to have to compromise again! We will be hiring Villa's Construction again .... no doubt about it.

It went Amazing! Since the moment I met John, owner of the company. I felt very comfortable with him! He was very honest, knowledgeable , and very creative in helping me with my design of my kitchen and wall unit! Him and his employees wher complete professionals throughout the whole project . My house looks beautiful!!! Me and my family are completely thrilled with all the work Villas construction did for us. I've had lots of work done in other property's I've owned throughout the years, but let me say that John and his crew set the bar very high! Another level of service ! He wasn't the cheapest option but worth every dollar extra! The quality of all the work from cabinets to floors or mill work is amazing, their attention to detail is perfect! Overall I LOVE MY HOME! It took us 4 years to finally commit to renovating our master suite. Countless contractors and handymen came through our house. None inspired much confidence, until we met John from Villa’s Construction. John was able to speak to us in a way that not only put us at ease but educated us on the process as to what we should expect throughout the project. As a side note, John’s bid was by no means the lowest, and more than we had planned, but it came with a level of sureness that in the end we would have the bedroom and bath we had hoped for. John offered design ideas and suggested where we could purchase materials but did not give us a “material budget” like some of the other contractors. We appreciated that we had the flexibility, selection and creativity to choose for ourselves and purchase this separate from Villas. John accompanied us on a shopping trip and we constantly asked his opinion as we chose our materials. His expertise extends through the entirety of the job, he does not out source, all of the sub contractors are his own – from the tile work to the custom cabinetry to the custom shower enclosure, plumbing, electric, everything. This was a huge plus for us as well. I should have started this review from the day the job started, as each stage impressed us. From the day the guys arrived to start demolition to the day John walked out the front door they were nothing but professional and respectful. They made sure the rest of the house and air was kept completely separate and the dust was kept to a minimum. Clean up was done each and every night. Like any major project, there were some issues that arose and John was responsive, he dealt with them professionally and without any change orders. John made any corrections. On top of it all the project was completed within the time frame John estimated. We will definitely use John again for our next renovation but for now we are enjoying our master suite :)

Fantastic Work! Villa's did a superb job remodeling the second floor of our home. The job included replacing about 800 square feet of old, dusty carpet with a quality laminate wood floor and building a wall and door. In all, there were four rooms, a hallway and a complicated staircase. John, his brother and their crew are craftsmen as evidence by the quality of work. They worked quickly, politely and cleaned up every day. Unlike other contractors I've used, they showed up on time every day and worked all day without leaving for another job. When it was done, the floor looked amazing and the wall they built appeared as though it had always been there. Plumb straight, up and down. Paint job was very nice. There were no surprises with price or materials. The owner John was extremely accessible via text and made sure the job got done right. These guys know what they are doing and I plan to use them again.

We got a total of 4 estimates for the work, initially planning to do a partial renovation. We chose John Villa/Villa Construction primarily because of reviews on this site coupled with a "gut" feeling that he would do a good job. I was comfortable with his professionalism; he doesn't use subs; explained our options and answered all our questions at every turn. Now that we're done and have a beautiful master bath, we know we made the right choice. All the workmen came to the house on time; John was here almost every day. My husband and I both work so, other than coming home for lunch to check on the progress, they worked independently. Every time I called John with a question, he responded quickly with a return call or text. He truly cares about his customers and the quality of work he delivers. We can't wait until we start on our second bathroom!

The project could not have gone better. We lived in our home throughout the entire project and, as difficult as that can be, were comfortable even though the entire house was a construction zone. Villa's was a very professional team that catered to our situation and made sure the space was cleaned up at the end of every day. The quality of workmanship was excellent and they had an eye for detail that helped make sure the project turned out great. The kitchen and bath's turned out beautiful. Villa's custom made the cabinets to our desire and made many suggestions to improve the final result. Any time we ran into a gotcha, John was helpful, forthright and creative to resolve the issue with minimal disruption. Lastly, they were always on time, polite and considerate to our situation. While not the least expensive contractor, the above characteristics proved well worth the extra $. I would highly recommend Villa's Remodeling for any home remodeling project.

John and his team were very responsive and done much sooner than expected - which was a pleasant surprise. The morning they started work, they came with everything prepared: new cabinets and all. Demo started right away and they showed me that there was no mold behind the cabinets (which was an initial concern) as they progressed. They cleaned everything as they continued working and ended up leaving everything like the problem never existed. We asked that they try to preserve our countertop, sink, and cabinet doors - and they did flawlessly. The price was a little steep for just over a day's worth of work - but it was worth every penny. We've dealt with other contractors before with horrible quality and terribly communication. John Villa was the complete opposite - a delight to work with. I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

From start to finish everything was so professional. There were no surprises. No hidden costs. The owner, John, was friendly and very helpful with advice about tile, stone, supplies and vanities. He was very patient with all of my questions. His brother was great, as well. He is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what they were doing and what needed to be done. The quality of work was second to none, really outstanding. Everyone showed up on time and were even willing to work on the weekends. I would highly recommend Villa's for any remodeling and I am definitely going to use them in the future.

In both instances, John was tuned into what I was describing and delivered an excellent high quality product/service. From the initial consultation to the to ongoing communication throughout the jobs I felt as though they were working on the jobs as though they were doing the work for their own home.
