The ECM installer was very professional and knowledgeable. Honestly, I don't know how he did so many things. He even helped the crane operator (apartment roof installation) to mount and dismount exterior unit. Cleaned work area. A/C works fantastic. Great job!

On the strength of the reviews, we called East Coast Mechanical (who also goes by ECM) and made an appointment for a quote. We were given the time of between 4 and 6 PM the following day. Around 11 AM the day of the appointment I was called to confirm the appointment. As it was not their regular number (which I had entered into my contacts) and I have been getting a lot of spam calls, I used Google screening. It is very simple-it simply says “ Hi, the person you reach is using a screening service from Google, and will get a transcript of this call. Go ahead and say your name and while you’re calling”. When the woman responded saying she was with ECM and calling to confirm the appointment from 2 to 6, I picked up the call and spoke with the woman and confirmed that we would be home and available from 2 to 6. This was earlier than the time window given originally, but other than that was not of concern. We waited all afternoon, but no one came and no one called. The next day I called to find out what had happened. Erica said that I had not answered my confirming phone call. I explained all of the above to her. She said it had to be a problem that the person had not gotten the Google message. I again explained how it worked and then I had actually spoken to the individual. She said that she would give me another appointment for tomorrow, but that I would have to answer the phone, ignoring the fact that I had spoken to the woman when she called to confirm. I wasn’t sure whether she was trying to make their failure at customer service my fault or suggesting I was lying. I don’t insist on an apology for having sat home from 2 to 6 waiting for someone who never came, but if this is how they are at the outset, it didn’t seem prudent to engage in a $7,000 to $10,000 purchase which includes having to deal with them during installation and for the lifetime of the units.

My A/c was not cooling down my house. ECM workers went above and beyond to make sure I was getting the best A/C unit and install for my house. Issues arose at no fault on their part, but they were on top of everything every step of the way. On the day of install, the workers arrived early, explained the process of install, how the new unit works and made sure I was getting what I paid for. Which I'd say is more than I could ever ask for. Great company with quick service that is top notch.

Beware of these people; I scheduled a $99 tune up, and, before I knew it, the techinican tells me "your compressor is about to blow up", because he flooded it, and, after trying to sell me an $8000.00 system, and he left, the a/c worked perfectly, just as it had before the techinician tried to f--k it up. As the hot air was blowing in my home, due to his actions, he tries to sell me a new system. I shut the a/c, let it reset, and, threw him the f--k off my property.

After my AC broke on July 4th My house being over 90 degrees with a sick husband & dog, they told me they could not come out until the following Tuesday, unacceptable! They never returned my phone call after telling them it was an emergency. I had to call another company (Frigif Air) who came out immediately when no one should have even been working being a holiday & after hours. I have had ECM service contract for several years now and after this I know they are not the company for me, not reliable, not enough technicians to be on call for emergencies. I can no longer reccomend them as a service provider.

The ECM team arrived on time and went to work immediately to install our new HVAC system. The team worked together like a well oiled machine! You could instantly tell they were well trained, experienced installers. We couldn’t be more pleased with the quality of their work. Even to the extent of their equipment and appearance of the installers, their trucks were clean and all the installers wore uniforms. Professional all the way around. Thanks for a job well done!

FROM THE FIRST WHEN ARIEL DIAZ , SALES MANAGER CAME OVER...HE SHOWED ME WHAT WENT WRONG WITH MY UNIT...THE FOLLOWING DAY ...HIS INSTALLERS, RONEL AND DAVID WORKED SO EFFICIENTLY...NOTHING WENT WRONG INCLUDING THE CLEAN UP AT THE END...MY PLACE WAS SPOTLESS AND THE UNIT WORKED GREAT...TODAY IS SATURDAY (ONE DAY LATER) AND I COULD NOT BE ANY MORE HAPPIER THAN THEY MADE ME...I HAVE A WONDERFUL AIR CONDITIONER...I WOULD RECOMMEND THE HIGHLY

It went awesome!! My AC stopped working and I called them to advise of problem. By 8 am the next morning, they had 3 guys at my house and by 4 pm. I had COOL air conditioning coming out of a new unit they installed. They were efficient, reliable and dependable!! I rate them 5 stars. Also, my dish washer motor broke. I called them up and they had a guy out the next day to confirm the problem and ordered me a NEW part at NO CHARGE and had it installed and working by the next day’ I love these guys!

I've been a long term ECM "Service Contract" member (approx. 15 years). Over the years I've had a lot of good experiences with ECM, unfortunately this was not one of them, thus the reason I'm posting my review. Water heater went up on a Sunday morning, called 1st thing Monday morning, tech didn't arrive until late that afternoon, and all he did was confirm water heater needed replacement. Although ECM will install water heaters sold at Home Depot, I was told a Rheem water heater I saw at Home Depot, and that I preferred be installed by ECM would cost me $1k and would have to be special ordered (that particular water heater was in stock at Home Depot for $649??). The water heater that they insisted on installing they charged $851 (I found it online for around $700??). To make matters worst, the water heater they stock for $851 couldn't be installed until Wednesday between 11AM and 3PM. The repair tech didn't arrive until 3:45PM. I went 4 days without hot water. Not a happy "Service Contract" holder. Granted, by having a "Service Contract" $500 credit is given toward the new water heater, but by inflating the price of the water heater and other associated cost still cost me $651.00 and didn't get the water heater I really wanted.

Called on an early Saturday morning and was given a 4-hour window for later that afternoon. Unfortunately, the tech did not show up until right at the end of the 4th hour. I called back to their customer service and asked if I could get a better idea of when the tech would be coming or if they would call when on the way, I was told I needed to request a call in advance at the time of making the appointment otherwise they just show up. Strange to me that I was not offered this when making the appointment. How else would customers know that this is the protocol? Was told there is a $95 service call fee which would be deducted from the cost of the service if I proceeded with them. When the Tech arrived he didn't introduce himself. He quickly figured out the compressor needed a capacitor and quoted me $300. He walked out to his truck and came back asking me for payment. Apparently he had replaced the capacitor in about 10 minutes but gave me a bill of $400 after he just said $300. I asked if he deducted the $95 service fee and his response was "Oh is that what they office told you? Then fine I'll remove it" So $300 was paid for about 10 minutes to change capacitor. Was thankful to have AC but in the future I would probably try to at least get 2 estimates. Be sure to check your invoice as the tech could be quoting anything!

The ECM technician was quick to identify the problem, efficient in fixing it and very knowledgeable in explaining what he did. He also offered helpful information about maintenance of bathroom fixtures and the water heater when I am away. He gave me a level of confidence that my appliances are in the good hands of ECM.

Came home from a trip on Friday 12-27 and A/C not cooling. Called Saturday AM and they were at my home early Monday morning. It was a relief to have a human being answer my call, not a computerized Q and A system. On Thursday, the day after New Year’s day the new A/C unit was installed on the roof of our build and a new circulation system installed in the ceiling. The techs were very professional and when the job was done they completely explained how to operate the system. (all setting etc.). I am 100% satisfied and thankful the we have ECM when we need them.

My out-of-warranty air conditioner was no longer blowing cool air. I called ECM and they dispatched a technician the same day. The technician determined that the evaporator coil was leaking. He ordered the replacement part and installed it two days later. I paid for the part only and was not charged for the labor as the service was covered by my annual contract. ECM prompt delivery, excellent customer service, and knowledgeable and courteous technicians is why I have been renewing my contract with them for the past ten years. I could not recommend a better company.

I have a fairly new service contract with ECM. Their Customer service is fantastic. They are available to answer my questions live, meaning they answer the phone. The repair was done well. The technician was on time each time and he explained what he was doing and gave me pointers on how to keep my dryer running well after the repair. The contract price is incredibly reasonable as well. I’m a very happy customer! The service cost below was $0 as it was included with the contract.
