+ -1 moreThat cost me $250. The evaporative coil is much more expensive than $250, I was not happy about it, but I understand. Because I was unhappy with the cost, I would give them a B in the price because I did not expect to pay $250. They leave the place clean, they do a nice job, they're very respectful, and they seem to know what're they're doing. They know what they're doing. The technicians know what they're doing.
Description of Work: They sent two men out and installed a new evaporative coil.

+ 1 moreI would give them, for the things they can do, an A. There was a problem and there still is a problem that I have been working on that they could not handle and they suggested I contract a "master plumber," which is why I went online and was looking for a master plumber. I have not as yet engaged a master plumber, I am living with the problem, but for what they do and can do, an A. They come when they say they're going to come, and they admit what they can do and admit what they can't do, and they do what they can do well. Their installation as I wrote at that time of my air conditioning unit was absolutely flawless. I mean it was a beautiful job and I gave them credit for that. I mean they did some ducts, they really did such a good job. Their price was excellent. I got a discount.
Description of Work: I have a contract with them. I have a deductible of $45, so no matter what they do, it's $45. I had, several months ago, a disposal unit go bad, and they replaced that, and it was $45. If they come and it's a minor job, it's $45. You can include in your original contract with them avoiding the 45, but of course the yearly fee is higher. The most recent was my wife had poured too much down the disposal unit and it clogged the pipes going to the drain. The drain pipe was totally clogged with pasta. And I am 84, and while I can do that mentally, I'm not so good at it physically anymore. I can't get down that low and stay that low for that long, so I called them and they fixed it. I mean it was a minor thing.

Description of Work: Had trouble with air conditioning. Called on a Sunday and left a message. Got a call from them first thing in Monday morning and the tech was here by 10:00 that same morning. He fixed our problem he was professional and very willing to make us happy. We have been using ECM for many years. Even though there are companies out there who may charge less we will never change because of there expert technicians and fast service. We highly recommend ECM for all your appliances and air conditioning. Thank you ECM

To now, four days later, all is going well . We chose this company because it is large and we expect that they will be in business for a long time and will therefor stand behind their reputation and promises.

+ -1 moreTech did maybe 6 of the 21 items. Had to force him to do the other 15 items. He refused to do many of them and the ones I got him to do were done shoddy. Told me most of the 21 items were not necessary. EMC needs to provide a checkoff list for the customer and tech to sign off on.

+ 2 morePlummer came bright and early and cleared everything a few months ago and everything still good. Air conditioner turning off last month and tech cleaned out and told us how to maintain it at a higher efficiency rate that no one else ever informed us abut.

Description of Work: We have a service contract with ECM for the last 15yrs. When our appliances need to be fixed we call ECM. Our AC froze on a Friday and ECM had scheduled us for a new installation early Monday which we appreciated.

+ -1 moreOur A/C went off in the morning. ECM's Service Department sent a tech to us the same day. His name was Joseph and he arrived in the afternoon. He was the most polite and knowledgeable young man. He explained what was wrong and showed my husband what he did to fix the problem with the thermostat. As a matter of fact, the times when we did need service on any of our appliances the serviceman who showed up was always great. Description of Work: This Week, ECM replaced our A/C unit and we could not be more pleased. As our old unit faltered, ECM responded quickly. They evaluated our needs within the house and made recommendations that solved the problems we were experiencing. They advised us when ordering a new unit and installed it quickly. + -1 moreI have used ECM for many years being a resident of Century Village in Boca. In 2017 I needed to replace my 2 ton AC. I got three prices, and choose ECM. The other two companies were lower but WERE NOT pulling a Palm Beach County Permit, was not upgrading the electrical, and was not tying down the unit outside on the concrete slab for hurricane protection. The two repair guys were fabulous, very clean, gentleman and completed their job in a professional manner. They showed us how to use the new thermostat and dehumidifier. We did have a minor issue on the outside piece of concrete and that was corrected today. The contractor that came was excellent and took care of the issue. I will renew my annual contract with ECM in 2018.

+ 0 moreOver two years ago I gave ECM a 100% approval as a satisfied customer. Over two years later. In all seriousness. I could not bring myself to recommend ECM. It cost me over $2000.00 for a new refrigerator. A refrigerator that should have been purchased for me per ECM's contract.
Description of Work: After a long (5) process of trying to get my refrigerator repaired. ECM did not live up to their contract. "If we can't repair it. We will replace it." This did not happen. After writing the owner Jose Ramirez several times to come to an agreement to honor ECM's contract. Instead Mr. Ramirez put in charge his manager Kim to handle the situation. Kim decided......1. Not to address the issue of replacement........2. Instructed the renewal of contracts not to renew my contract this after two years. I hardly used ECM until this problem with the refrigerator. I informed the renewal department to remove the refrigerator from the new contract as I had already purchased a new one with a five year warranty. They would not here of this. I might mention. Kim the manager showed her lack of professionalism by not ever returning any of my calls as instructed by Mr. Ramirez.
