After being a customer for nearly 20 years and getting maintenance calls on our a/c unit, and a replacement disposal unit, we called for repair for our a/c unit. No air was blowing out. A mechanic visited us the next day and told us, the unit had to defrost before he could tell what was wrong. the following day a mechanic came, told us the fan motor on our Trane was broken and the repair would be expensive, so we should consider getting a new a/c. To our surprise, ECM did not have the part in stock, so another 3 or 4 days would go by before our air was fixed. Since the unit was only 8 years old, we believed the part was under warranty. However, ECM told us the warranty was void because we didn't send in the warranty card. Since ECM sold and installed the Trane, we took exception. Firstly, a warranty is generally not activated by the warranty registration, it is offered with the sale of the product. As an authorized dealer/repairman, ECM had the information as to when we purchased the unit, thus they could prove the date of purchase was within the warranty period. A minor detail: ECM never supplied us with the warranty card in question when they installed the unit. The plain fact is ECM is happy to offer "replacement " coverage on your a/c, but is unwilling to actually pay for replacing it. After an attorney demand letter, ECM refunded the money we paid another company to replace the fan blower (almost $900), plus they refunded the unused portion of our annual service fee. Enough of ECM! I write this review to warn those of you who are not attorneys not to waste your money with a/c coverage from this company.

This time, I didn't actually need a repair of any kind, but the renewal process of my contract was a breeze and Shirley (my new best friend) quite joyfully told me about the new items that would be covered in the coming year at no extra cost to me. I've been fortunate and not had to have repairs that often (yet), but you never know. With ECM, I know that I'm getting people who are not only knowledgeable about whatever my problem may be, but who are also reliable and polite. Two thumbs up!

1)The dish washing machine has not given us any problems since then and so far (touch wood). 2) Job was well done. Couple years after the refrigerator broke down again with leakage in the "internal coils". This is not covered by the contract and was not repairable. We decided to buy a new refrigerator ( a simpler one - with no gimmicks). 3) Replacement was of very good quality.

Perfectly! New efficient Lennox Elite unit installed in 2 days after placing order. The entire installation took them 6 hours as promised. They left my home clean as if they were never here. I was pleased with their pricing, especially with rebates . I also beat the summer ac breakdown rush. They deserve 5 stars.

ECM has been servicing our 12 year-old air-conditioner, keeping it alive for a couple of years longer than we anticipated. This year, we decided to pre-empt the inevitable failure and had ECM install a brand new unit. All the paperwork was arranged electronically, and the installation was rather painless. It took only a couple of hours, and the installers cleaned up any mess they’d created from removing the old unit. All night, the new unit worked flawlessly. But on the afternoon of the next day when the unit turned on, there was a sudden flow of water (several cups’ worth) that was coming out of the unit. We shut it down and the leak stopped. When we contacted ECM, they were willing to send a repairman within two hours, but we agreed that the following day would be more convenient. To make a long story short, not only did the repairman immediately find a plastic component that had snapped and caused the leak, but after verifying the installation in the house as well as on the roof, made a couple of other adjustments to make the unit work more efficiently. All in all, our experience with ECM has been very satisfactory, and we will continue to use them to service our unit for years to come.

The company spent a few hours with us to explain our options for installing a new air conditioning unit. The technician patiently answered all of our questions and gave us an exact breakdown of the cost. The next morning an installation crew arrived as scheduled and their work took about 5 hours, which was the estimated time mentioned in the final quote.

My salesman was great in helping me decide what was the best a/c system I needed. The price he quoted me was the best price of the 3 estimates I received. We set up an appointment date and at 9am that day 2 technicians came and had may a/c unit installed by 3pm. They cleaned up and removed all the old equipment. So far all looks good.

It was very fast and went very well. They checked everything out and cleaned up before they left.

Called ECM for a service call on our washing machine. Actually had a service man the "next" day! Professional repair man, fixed the issue and was on his way within 45 minutes - made my wife a happy camper!

Went very well finally, after perseverance on Vincent's part. He was able to do and try, do and try and finally, he said, "I think I know what the problem is, here it is, I got it." Refrigerator is back to normal temperature and functioning well. The only dissatisfaction is paying $45.00 on each technician visit for the same problem and no positive outcome..

My home needed a new air conditioning unit and I used ECM to do this work. It was easy to get an appointment with ECM. The installers were all tremendously professional and knowledgeable. This is not a cheap process, but ECM’s price was certainly more than fair. The air conditioner has been trouble free since installation. Excellent work at competitive prices.

Technician arrived on time, had ballast on truck and took care of the problem. Haven't had any reoccurring problem since.

We recently purchased a resale home and took over an extended warranty contract offered by ECM. We couldn’t be happier. All the staff, office and technical, have been very helpful, courteous, and professional. On the two occasions our air conditioning units were giving us trouble, the service people came to solve the problem the same day. Who could ask for more? We just renewed this extended warranty for next year.

I had a leaky ,running toilet which was creating major problems and headaches. ECM came and fixed it, clearly explaining the problem to me. The toilet has worked well ever since and stopped its incessant running. As for cost, I do have a yearly contract with them which is worth every penny, putting my mind at ease in case of plumbing issues. This problem was covered by the contract.

ECM has been terrific in responding to our needs, whether it be about service, contract renewals, or any other matters, Their office staff are courteous and easy to reach. Their service people arrive when they say they will and our issues get always get resolved. We have been with them for several years and were happy to renew again this year.

We have had ECM for 3 years and this is the first time we have had to use them. Our central heat stopped heating, I called at 8 am and was given a 4 hour window of when the service technician would arrive. The technician, Robert arrived within 1 hour of 4 hour window. He was very courteous, and efficient. he replaced a broken part, even checked our thermostat. gave us a detailed receipt with what he did. We would recommend ECM to everyone

They sent a salesman out when I called for service knowingI probably needed a new airconditioner. Anthony should be selling "used cars" told me price of air conditioner, plus he said I would have to pay for permit. He didn't know how much a permit was. Seriously he doest know ,not buying that! So he jacked up the air conditioner to over 5000.00 dollars took my FPL and my down payment to get to what he quoted me. So my down payment and FPL discount is just money in their pocket. AND no one from the county has been out to check installation nor has anyone from ECM been out to check on it to see if it would withstand the Hurricanes we've had so far in the last 15 years. That's how old my air conditioner was. Ive been with ECM for a long time had one or two minor issues, but this has left a bad taste. My service policy is up for renewal and I have yet to make a decision. Every answer should not be yes or no I'm not sure if I'm going with their contract or not
