ECM is our service company so were a logical choice for our new A/C system. Miguel clearly explained the various options and got the approvals needed from the permit department to add an extra vent to cool our new sun room addition. Jason did an excellent job installing the system, and taking care of whatever needed to be done to ensure that it worked perfectly.

If you are one of those people reading this review that is concerned about "value" when comparing one contractor to another in South Florida, then my review may be for you. This is the second time we have selected ECM to replace an air handler in a residential property and once again we are very impressed. The first unit we replaced was in our primary residence, and it was done about 2 or 3 years ago. This second contract was for a small condo that we rent to a tenant in Coral Springs and was installed about 30 days ago. I solicited bids from three different companies and while ECM was not the "lowest" price, they are the only company that explained to me that the water heater underneath the air handler inside the condo was going to be a problem for their installation. The salesman explained that the 240 volt electrical box was too high on the wall and it would need to be relocated about six inches lower so that they would need to rebuild the supporting wood frame that holds the air handler in place. The reason for this they explained is due to the fact that the newer air handlers are larger than the ones from 15 year ago since the type of Freon the EPA requires needs larger coils to get the air cooled down while passing thorough out the system. Evidently, this is the case for all new systems made in the last few years. The problem was that neither of the other two contractors mentioned this, and there would have been no way to mount the new air handler (as the closet is really small) and meet the current building code. We rely on the building code inspectors to make sure the contractor is doing things the right way, and I did not even have to ask for a permit as ECM included them by default, which is another good sign. So, yes it cost more to get it done right, but at least if there is ever a serious problem with the electrical connection for the water heater or the air conditioner in general, I can at least refer back to the permit and the inspections (as there were two of them) and not have to worry about liability or getting our insurance company to cover a loss. One more thing, the tenant we have is very hard to please and he actually texted me after they were done installing the system and said, "These guys seem to be very professional", which is a lot as he has always complained about nearly every contractor we have ever sent into the unit for various other tasks over the years regardless of who they are or what they are doing, so ECM's technicians must have been really good to get that kind of a comment from this tenant.

Perfect!! Everyone was very courteous, helpful and knowledgable. Instakkation was quick and efficient, They explained as they went along with work and especially explained use of thermostat; AC arrived just in time as temperatures are rising!!!! You can trust ECM to handle all your needs!!!

Shannon came the next day and fixed them quickly, cleanly and, it looks like, properly! ECM is great about making the appointments, advising you of when/who is coming out, and then getting the work done and done right.

The installers came and immediately got to work taking the old unit out. They worked efficiently and cleanly. Any mess was quickly taken care of. When they installed the new unit they had to cut a second return in my house. Again not a particle of dirt was left for me to clean up. It took 12 hours in all to get the unit in. The men were polite and courteous the entire time. I have had contracts with ECM for 19 yrs and they have always taken care of any problems that have arisen with my house. I would recommend them to anyone.

Over 10 years ago I had 1 of 2 complete units replaced by ECM and was very satisfied at that time. Fast forward to today.....I needed both complete units replaced and I sent the project out to bid. ECM came back with the best pricing by far over other companies. The installers were on time, professional and stayed well past normal working hours to be sure that the job was finished properly. I will continue to use ECM and highly recommend them.

ECM sent a serviceman approximately 1 hour after I called. He diagnosed the problem after a thorough check of my freezer and ordered the necessary circuit board. He then returned a few days later and installed it. It works perfectly! The serviceman was polite and very professional and I am very pleased with ECM service.

We have had a contract with ECM for at least 25 years now on our apartment. They have always done great work, respond quickly, clean up well, and give honest feedback and advice. Over the years they have done electrical work, plumbing, and repaired the refrigerator, garbage disposal, washer/dryer, along with little things here and there like replacing sink faucets. I've never had an issue with any work performed by ECM and 10/10 would recommend to anyone I know.

Sales process was good, but unfortunately it went downhill from there. Installation was poor quality. Nothing was mentioned beforehand of the need to reposition filter system from inside air handler to the air return. Had to pay extra to have that done. Unit failed inspection by the city of Sunrise. Two months after installation the unit stopped cooling. Coolant was added. Last week it stopped cooling again. Defective condenser coil needs to be replaced. Part on order but not due to arrive until next week. Had to pay over $700 for repair on a one year old unit. Coolant was added but apparently ran out yesterday. ECM says they can't add coolant again until the repair is completed. Leaving us with a very warm house until then. Will probably not be renewing service contract. Advise others to steer clear of them.

Very pleased with service and professionalism of ECM. Air conditioner was installed in a few hours and everything was e planned to us. Installers made sure that everything worked before they left. Have been a loyal customer for many years. Highly recommend!

Excellent. Michael, the repairman, was here when promised. Diagnosed the problem and had it fixed within 15 minutes. He was professional and friendly.

Excellently. ECM service technician said refrigerator fan blade had broken, but that my model was no longer made. Hence, replacement blade was not available. No problem: He measured the blade, went back to ECM headquarters, and had a fan blade machined. Came back, bolted in the replacement. Four months ago: Refrigerator fine. I have had an annual contract - about $395 - for twelve years. ECM has repaired or replaced in-sink garbage disposal, dimmer light switch, electrical wall socket, hot water sewer line. Make a call, set up an appointment, and the repairman comes.

Do you have a clogged sink? Do you have electrical problems? Does your dishwasher not work. I have the perfect company that can put your kitchen appliances, air conditioner or what ever needs back together. No matter how good you think your company is, there is always one better. The Service representatives are what makes a company what they are. Their job is to help fix whatever is broken in the best possible way. Scheduling appointments is their job and they do this around your day. I have been with ECM for 18 years and sometimes I feel they have put my house together with their expertise. The p[rime purpose is to be there to help you take care of the problem at hand. TRY ECM, NO REGRETS, ONLY FULLFILLMENT.

It is time for dinner and going to the frezzer to take something out. Closing the door does not work. The door does not close tightly, so push, push and then it closes. Next day going to the freezer, the door does not work. What do I do with the frozen food, which can spoil. A phone call away to ECM, as I have a yearly contract. I tell them about the door and they will check to see if a service tech is available. It is the holiday season so lets see what happens. Back on the phone they tell me that a tech can come out that afternoon in which he does. I tell the technician what the problem is, and he knows exactly what to do. Out comes the tools, flashlight, mirror etc.and low and behold the screws got lose behind the freezer door. Could not have asked for a better tech. Moral of my long story, get a yearly contract. Dinner was good, freezer was fixed, and ECM came to my rescue. Get the contract now, no disappointment, no fuss, and all have a Happy Holiday.

I needed two new AC units installed in my home in April and so I called ECM. ECM responded to me the same day I called, gave me an estimate for the two units (2 ton and 5 ton Carrier unit) that was reasonable and took the time to go over the estimate with me and even offered discounts. The technician came out at the time they said they would, was professional and did a superb job in putting in the units. They cleaned up after they were done with the installation and explained how to care for the units and to work the thermostat. I am happy with the service ECM delivered and will call them again in the future and recommend them to others. Thank You ECM.
