I recently wrote a rave review on ECM's page about their plumber. That was true, but then I had the unfortunate need to use them for my microwave repair. I have a service contract. They sent a repairman and he said he had to order a mag tube, a control board and a diode. They called me the next day to tell me that the part prices exceeded their contract and I had to pay $155. to have them order and fix it. I paid it and when they came to do the repair they found that the parts dept ordered the wrong control board and sent an empty envelope for the diode. Back to the ordering parts. They also saw burn marks on the transformer and said I needed that too. customer service told me that the additional parts were an additional $178. I said that I already paid for the control board and the diode but they sent the wrong one. The woman said I never paid for the control board. I asked her why they sent one then? She said if I want it fixed i need to come up with the additional $178. I told her to get the mag tube out and reimburse me the $155. They new micro would cost $208. at Brandsmart. Why would I pay $328 to fix a broken one especially when I pay for a service contract to ECM? She said they would not reimburse me for the mag tube and they won't fix it if I don't pay. THIS WAS BLACK MAIL. LOSE $155 OR ADD $178 TO COMPLETE THE JOB. TOTALLY UNETHICAL. DO NOT USE ECM EVER. THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT PREYS OFF THE VULNERABLE.

ECM INSTALLED A LENNEX AC UNIT AND THE JOB WENT SMOOTHLY. THE MEN DID A VERY NICE JOB.

I have had a service contract with ECM for all appliances and A/C for several years now and have always found them to be responsive and professional. In this case it was determined that my A/C had rusted through and needed replacement. I was able to have a replacement unit on site and installed two days later. I have never had an issue with responsiveness or repairs and have no hesitation recommending ECM as a provider.

Excellent. The day before we moved in our home the A/C stopped working. Anthony came out and walked us through the process step by step. The next business day our A/C was replaced. We are happy customers.

ECM gave us next-day service when our a/c needed help. The technician was reliable, efficient, and friendly. The new system works great!

ECM set up an appointment including a time frame. The repair person, Eduardo, came towards the beginning of the time frame. He was friendly when he came and went right to work on the problem. He brought the parts that would be needed and fixed it quickly. He showed me what he did and what to do to prevent this from happening again. I am very glad I have a service contract with ECM.

Called ECM for the first time with an A/C problem. They were there within an hour. Turned out I needed a new system. They installed it 2 days later. Installation crew was on time and completely professional. I would highly recommend this company.

BEWARE. "Family Owned" makes sense if the family is the mafia. The guy I trust for my A/C wasn't available that day, so I was desperate and called ECM. They charged $45 basically so that they could give me a sales pitch for a completely new A/C system, even though my entire A/C system was replaced 7 years ago. The tech said: "I wouldn't waste any more money on such an old system"... really? They told me the part wasn't under warranty and wanted $1500 to replace the motor. Well, the guy that I trust found that it was under warranty and it cost less than $400 to get everything back up and running. ECM also told me that the coil was dirty and that's the reason the motor died. The guy I trust inspected every part of the system and said "I don't know what the other guy was talking about, but the coil in front of the motor is extremely clean." The only thing ECM did right was to confirm that the A/C blower motor that I said was dead was in fact dead (it was completely burned out, so anyone with two eyes could see that). I'm glad that ECM doesn't carry anything useful in their trucks, because I probably would have paid whatever ridiculous amounts of money they asked out of desperation. Do not call them! My only guess is that ECM paid to put a bunch of fake good reviews on AngiesList, because I can't imagine them ever providing a good customer experience.

It went very well. Technicians were total professionals. Showed up on time and were very neat. I am very happy with my new Lennox AC which ECM recommended.

We have used ECM since 2002 to cover all of our household appliances, when something goes wrong... ECM is there to fix the problem every time. Recently, our HVAC system went down... unfortunately, we had to replace the unit and get a whole new system. ECM went through our options and found the best solution for us. The process was very easy and the HVAC was replaced almost immediately with no down time. The new unit is great!!!!..super quiet and efficient. I would recommend ECM for all you service needs.

Installers were wonderful, courteous, clean, and efficient. The problem arose when dealing with the office to get the job completed by the electrician.

ECM came out to service my A.C. on the same day I called. I needed a new A.C. . They did the installation within 2 days. I was very satisfied with the cost, the installers and their professionalism.

Very well. ECM came promptly and installed a new unit. They were very professional and cleaned up everything when they were done. They also checked to see if it was running properly after it was installed. They truly stand behind their work.

We have used ECM for many years. It is a great convenience when something goes wrong to have someone to call and their response is usually timely. We have had two air-conditioning units replaced with them and their air-conditioning sales people and installers were professional and proficient. Sometimes for the minor repairs it can take a couple of times to get something done correctly, but overall I would highly recommend ECM.
