There are a few tile places in Boynton to choose from but there is no comparison as far as quality, service and professionalism at Capitol Carpet and Tile! We started shopping for quality vinyl planking and started off at a big box store that everyone knows about. Their quality was not what we expected and they had very little choices for commercial grade vinyl. In addition, their lack of customer service was a joke. For such a large store, we couldn't locate one person to assist us so we left. This is where Capitol comes in. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Gabriel. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about all the lines of vinyl that he sells. We are very picky so we spent a couple of weeks deciding, taking home many samples. By the way, these aren't tiny little pieces they lend you, but big boards with all of the product information and pictures on the back. After a while, we went back to purchase what we chose but we weren't really excited about the pattern. Gabriel took the time and told us "don't buy anything that you really don't want". Now, in steps the manager Nick. He also assisted us and gave us other options to look at. Suffice to say, we bought vinyl that day for our entire house. Not only did he tell us when it will be delivered, he called us the day of delivery and gave us the expected time frame and every detail. The service here is impeccable and the quality of the vinyl is amazing. And no, they are not "expensive" as you get what you pay for. Nice job Gabriel and Nick, you won us over with your service and knowledge..Stu & Deanna Levy!

I have used them for years and they did a fabulous job. The tenants are so happy and sent me pictures of the carpet. Jacob really went above and beyond and followed through the whole process. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again.

Seemingly well at first, then several months after initial installation a large bubble appeared near the cabinets, which was successfully repaired. Soon after other bubbles began to appear in the corner under the table. The company maintained that the bubbles were caused by the table legs because of dimples left in the vinyl, but there were no dimples in the old, cheap vinyl and there were bubbles under the legs and in places where there were never table legs. After many unsuccessful attempts to fix the problem, the company attempted to force me to pay another $700+ to replace the flooring. Since it has been since April of 2017 when the flooring was installed, I don't feel inclined to pay this premium. The company then refused to replace the floor. We have lived in this house for 40 yrs, having built it in 1977. We have replaced the vinyl flooring on the kitchen floor several times before , but never had a problem.Which begs the question- Was your process different? In any case- In the process of Re-doing All the floors in our house - We know this is NOT the company to do it! We have Many friends , with whom we will share our disappointment.
Response from Capitol Carpet & Tile - Boynton Beach

"We have sent our General Manager who also was our installation manager for over 20 years to inspect. It is of his professional opinion that the dents and bubbles are being caused by the chairs and table that have pointed/angled bottoms of the legs creating the dents and then eventually the bubbles. In addition the new vinyl has a cushion backing which could dent more easily if the bottoms of the legs do not have protected felt protectors which they do not. As the owner I called the customer and mentioned to him that it is very important that Capitol does the right thing and that we will have a certified independent inspection service come and inspect and we will go by their determination if it is a mill defect, incorrect installation or if the problem is locally induced by the homeowner. - Louis Morano"

Terrible. paid extra money for a process that was supposed to ensure all tiles were level with respect to each other. Tiles are anything but level. If I move furniture, they snag between tiles because they are at different levels. Told me they were going to go over the floor with a six foot level and raise the floor where necessary. Never did that. After the job, I spilled some water in one area and it ran under the molding. Told me they were going to lay down a track and then attach a vinyl threshold to it between the dining room and the kitchen. I spoke to the salesman and he lied and denied he had ever said they were going to do that. Yet, on my invoice was the threshold track he swore he had never talked about. They put so little grout between the tiles that some areas looked like they had no grout. Had to argue with them and finally got them to redo the grout. Lots of gaps in the base molding. Had to redo some of the caulking myself. When the service manager called me, instead of being helpful and polite, he was hostile, testy and belligerent. The owner's mother, Loretta, called me to see if I was happy with the job. I itemized all of the issues and never heard from them again.

Everything went well. There was one problem, but they were great about correcting it. They did it quickly, and with no questions asked. I do highly recommend Capital Tile and Windows.

We were having porcelain tile put in our entire condo except for the bathrooms and kitchen, approximately 830 sq. ft. Once the contract was signed it took two weeks for all tile and supplies to come in, and another half week for the work to start. From beginning to end, the installation took 11 calendar days. Interestingly, they require half payment up front and the other half the day the installation starts. Usually payment in full is not expected until a job is completed. My experience with Capitol was a mixed bag. The bad: 1) Poor job on grouting. Entire job had to be gone over a second time. The grout was too low and depending on where the light was coming from, some areas did not even look like they were grouted. At first, the installer balked at doing it again and then relented. Even doing it the second time we had to watch and point out spots that were not being done properly. 2) We paid extra money ($300) to Capitol to use a system called Flatline which was supposed to eliminate high and low tile issues. It didn't. There are plenty of areas where adjacent tiles are not at the same level. When moving furniture around they will glide on the floor and then suddenly hit a snag where the next tile is higher and we have to lift the furniture over that spot. 3) We were told that between the dining room and the kitchen flooring a vinyl saddle would be put in. We picked out the color and the salesman explained in detail that first a snap track metal strip would be put own and then the vinyl saddle would be attached to that. The installers were just going to glue the saddle down without using the metal track. I called the salesman, Kevin, and he swore he never told us about placing a metal snap track down first. My wife and I both clearly heard him explain about the metal track and how it would work with the saddle. He refused to own up to that. It was frustrating. Subsequently, I looked at our invoice, and sure enough, on it was a charge for “snap track pinless flex metal” that was supposed to be used, the very thing he said he never told us about and never intended to use. 4) Installers broke one of the screens on a window, damaged the paint on one wall. It will have to be painted over and if that doesn't look good the entire wall will have to be repainted. 5) We had Capitol install baseboard. I had to fill in a couple of outside corners with caulk where the two pieces did not meet properly. The good: When all is said and done, things turned out OK although there were bumps and problems along the way. The installers were not happy with the way the vinyl saddle going from the dining room to the kitchen would look and they went out and came back with a wooden saddle that looked much better. Very nice of them. Generally, they were hard workers, very friendly, and tried to be conscientious. Overall, Capitol is not a bad company to do business with, but they are not wonderful either. I would not give them an unequivocal endorsement. I am ambivalent as to whether I would use them again.
Response from Capitol Carpet & Tile - Boynton Beach

"We are very thankful for the review, it is of paramount importance to receive feedback from our customers. A customer has a choice to pay the final balance after the job is completed if they pay by check. Credit card payments are requested to be made the day before we commence the work. Upon receiving this review our General manager left a voicemail stating we would like to address any and all concerns. He also followed up with an email as such. Mr. [Member Name Removed] responded via email thanking us for the follow up and that he has handled the paint, etc himself and that there was no need follow up further. Customer service is very important to us and our General Manager let Mr. [Member Name Removed] know if he needed anything in the future to contact him directly."

Replaced parquet with a golden/wood-look laminate. I absolutely love it!!! Juan did a fabulous job! Preparation for the work is similar to preparing to move. Sawdust near the work areas so cover furniture. Unplugging all the wires to my computer, tv and main phone line was a challenge. Work took about 2 days.

I can't say enough about this company. They exceeded my expectations. From the sale to the installation I was continually reminded what good old fashioned service was. If you're deciding between all the competing flooring stores out there I strongly urge you to shop at Capitol. I have no doubt in my mind that they will make you smile. The price was right, the service was exceptional and the installers were clean, on time and quick. What a great experience.

The installation was as promised.  The workers were on time, they were very professional and the work they completed was more than expected.   I have bought  from Lou since 1997 at this location and will continue to do so again.  We even received a follow up call from Lou's mom to make sure that we were happy with the job completed.

Terrible service! It took them 4 months to complete the job!
Response from Capitol Carpet & Tile - Boynton Beach

"Capitol is apologetic for the extended time frame it took to complete the installation. It was an extremely unique situation. The order consisted of a hardwood floor installation in 3 rooms, hall and stairs. The 3 rooms and hall were installed properly in a timely fashion. The color of the stair noses however did not coordinate well with the wood on the steps. Capitol had the stair noses custom made 3 times and on the 3rd batch they were accepted by the customer and we installed the stair noses. After some time the consumer noticed something we have never come across, while the stairway window shade is closed the stair noses coordinated well. When the window shades were open, they did not coordinate to the customer’s satisfaction. At Capitol’s expense we removed the previously accepted and installed stair noses, had new custom stair noses fabricated from the wood itself and installed the final batch which was accepted by our customer. We are very sorry for the time it took, Capitol did everything we could and notified the consumer during the process. It was a unique problem that we resolved and appreciate the customer’s patience while we solved the situation."

Our experience was great from the time we entered the store to the phone call asking how their service was. They were so helpful in choosing the carpet to replace the old one and very accommodating with scheduling the installation date. The rug came in within 10 days and within 2 weeks we had beautifully installed carpeting in our bedroom. The installers were neat and efficient. Beautifully done and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them. WHY WOULD BUY FROM ANYONE ELSE!

Very well. They not only gave us good merchandise, they gave us great service. Not only that, they matched the tile to the pattern and dye lot in the rest of the house. Other dealers declared the tile discontinued, and tried to sell us another product.
