We sent Dorrant pictures of both gates: the one leading to the street and the one leading to the lake. The gate leading to the street was our problem gate because the lawnmowers either don't close the street gate at all or the street gate is left ajar. Twice, our boy dog was able to get out. Fortunately, he was not hit by a car. Dorrant was out the same day we sent pictures. We paid him for the padlock as well as the service call. Dorrant is unbelievably patient and professional. Definitely and positively, Dorrant and his company is our go to locksmith!

With all the horror stories you hear about locksmiths, it's easy to worry when you find yourself desperately needing one on a weekend. Dorrant is the standard all locksmiths should aspire to. I called him on a Sunday morning hoping he'd have an available appointment in the near future, and to my pleasant surprise he said he could come out that very day. He arrived both on time and prepared, with a friendly demeanor to boot. It took him 15 minutes to switch out my busted mailbox lock and when he was finished he allowed me to inspect his work while he briefly explained everything he did. He's friendly, professional, and honest - no bogus estimates that he jacks up once it's too late to back out. His price was extremely reasonable. I will absolutely recommend him to everyone in the area he services. Like mechanics, trustworthy locksmiths are hard to find. Dorrant is a true gem.

Dorrant was able to replace the obsolete equipment with new, state of the art equipment. He gave me a range of options including the simplest system (which is what I wanted) and systems with video, remote control, etc. It took several visits, because the transformer for the original system couldn't be located and the wiring from ground level to the second floor had to be replaced. He brought in a wonderful electrician, who works with him on security systems, and they did the job today. I rated the pricing as a "B" because it was quite expensive. But it took several visits and a lot of creativity, and now other people in my community can have it done less expensively, since it will take less time. Despite the "B" rating on pricing, I am totally satisfied with the job.

Alockmedic responded rapidly, worked efficiently, and was very professional. He gave knowledgeable information and advice about keypad entry systems. He obviously loves doing this work as well as being a helpful service for people who, let's face it, usually are in an unhappy situation (locked out or needing to change who can get in, etc) and was fairly priced. He is a competent and hardworking gentleman that we heartily recommend to you in your time of need!

Dorrant provided excellent before, during and after service. Before his visit, He made recommendations that I did not know about, explaining them in detail and answering all my questions before I made a decision on which keypad lock to install. He communicated with me three times during the day of his arrival time and he arrived as promised. He was courteous, very knowledgeable – even changing the bee lock to fit my current keys – meaning I did not have to spend more money to buy new keys. This was very much appreciated. He also spent time ensuring that my cloud-based connection was working and that my Apple TV was installed correctly so I could communicate with the lock remotely. At the end of his visit he wiped down the surface of my door, made sure that the existing knob/lock was operating correctly and caulked the new strike plate. Although it seems like we kept him a long time he had no problem making sure that every question was answered and all the work was done to our satisfaction. He presented us with an electronic receipt and made sure that we had business cards and his phone number so that if we had any difficulty we could get hold of him immediately.. The other key factor for me was every time I called him he answered his phone personally. . I recommend him and his business unequivocally and would use him again in a minute. Unfortunately for us I don't have a lot of locks that need to be changed!

After purchasing a new house, I needed a good locksmith to re-key all the outside locks and install some new door handles. Dorrant was extremely professional. He re-keyed every lock and also installed several Schlage keypad locks / door handles - walked me through the entire coding setup process on all of them. Professional and honest locksmith you can trust. I would definitely use again.

Wonderful. Dorrant came out on a Sunday afternoon, without any extra charge. He returned to his shop after realizing we wanted a different brand of hardware than what he had in his truck (which was based on photos we sent him). He did all the work perfectly, made six copies of the key for us, and was so professional. I am the President of my condo community and am going to recommend him highly to everyone who lives here.

He was fantastic! Very professional very polite and made sure no stone was unturned. Everything was very efficient and we only have great things to say about him!

Alockmedic was the epitome of perfection in emergency service. He arrived within plus or minus 20 seconds of the appointment time, even though he was 30 miles away. I selected him, even though he was a longer distance away than other Angie's A-rated locksmiths, because he is a VETERAN, and I never saw any business or contractor with 482 reviews, an Angie's "Super Service Award," and FREE service call for Angie's members! He didn't try to sell me to a completely new lock, but had my lock out of the door in 2 minutes for repair, not replacement, in his sparkling white van. He offered my a valuable option, which I never knew was possible and I eagerly took--the exterior door has two locks, and he rekeyed the other one so I would need only one key to open either lock! He was nice enough to warn me that a mosquito was on me, which was thoughtful and might not have been mentioned by someone else. Before he left, he asked if I needed anything else; I said no, because I had just 3 hours of sleep and couldn't think straight, and later remembered that I had been holding off for years getting copies made for my car using blanks I bought for $9 off the net. I thought the price would be exorbitant if I went to a stranger. I will update the review once I get the price. Now I know I have met the premier locksmith, Dorrant Mowatt, and will be going to him despite the distance! In case you want to have a treat waiting, he picked orange soda out of four flavors. I insisted he take one with him since he was too busy to drink while working, along with paying cash for the bill and the tip. Also, if your phone does not take text, let him know in advance.

Dorant was helpful, courteous, on time, responsive, and so pleasant. He emailed and called before arriving, and not only did Dorant complete the task quickly he also was so helpful that he offered to change an old battery on a smoke detector. How wonderful. I ABSOLUTELY would recommend AlockMedic!

Dorrant (the owner) came and in minutes had the handle removed put it all back together and fixed another thing that I didn't even know could be fixed. He was on time, polite and efficient I would recommend him to anyone!!!

As with all prior work, Dorrant Mowatt again defines excellence in all aspects of the transaction. I do not say the following lightly, as my expectations of vendors are very high. Extraordinarily prompt response (initial site visit evaluation, diagnosis of the issue and possible solutions, part ordering, final installation), politeness and courtesy that testify to his impeccable character, demonstrated competency in his field, "above and beyond service", training the customer in product use, and very reasonable prices. Quite frankly and throughout my decades in both the public and private sector, I have never come across someone quite like Mr. Mowatt. He is that rare gold standard that combines both business competency and personal integrity. He could (and should) conduct seminars for any business entity's employees (and owners) in extraordinary customer service. The cost of his seminar (if his examples and training were implemented) would be returned, through increased product/service sales, to the business entity many times over. Bottom line and specific to all his security work for me - Mr. Dorrant Mowatt delivers a service that makes whatever installation (i.e., door locks) and repairs better than what existed prior to his efforts, and does so with absolute integrity.

It could not have gone better. He showed up on time, introduced himself and gave me his card. He verified what I wanted done and took care of it quickly and efficiently. The 6 keys he made worked perfectly and he patiently showed me how to program my digital key pad. Durrant Mowatt is professional, courteous, fast and accurate. He deserves an A+ in my opinion. I have already recommended him to my general contractor. Without reservation, I highly recommend Mr. Mowatt.
