Donald came out from J.B. Matthews, Co. (now Southern Dock Products).(407- 656-1289) He was prompt, efficient, professional and personable. My door works fine. The company was recommended to me by a friend.

I thought everything was fine until I had the springs replaced two days ago and discovered that in 2011 they installed springs dated 2006. Consequently, the springs didn't last as long as they should have. I can only think that they sold me used springs. They offered to replace the springs at a discount. Their "discounted" price was more than they originally charged for the springs.

Excellent, on time, professional, clean and explained clearly what needed to be done and why. This was covered by a home warranty so I don't know their cost but I would use this company again even at my cost.

Called because remote was not consistantly opening garage door. I had tried two other companies who were unable to fix the problem. Precision charged a service fee and was unable to fix the problem. The technician advised that I would probably need to replace the garage door opener if what he did didn't work. The second tech could find no solution either. He did not charge me. So I decided to replace the battery in the remote unit, but the garage door still did not did not respond or got stuck part way during opening or closing. I then called the company that originally installed the garage door opener, J. B.Matthews. Rather than spend $100 for someone to come out and investigate the problem and come up with a solution, it was suggested that I reset the codes. By following procedures I printed on line for the model of garage door opener I have, I was able to reset the codes on my own. The problem seems to be corrected. I will definately call JB Matthews back should the problem return. I appreciate their honesty in allowing me to problem shoot and correctly fix the remote without assuming what the problem was or unnecesarily billing a service fee.

I have been using JB Matthews since 2001. Today, I was stunned and disappointed with the level of service I received. I spoke with Robert around 5:23 a.m. this morning regarding a nonfunctional garage door opener (off track-moves but does not open). Robert who was prompt and had good customer service, informed me that there would be an after hours fee for a Saturday call that would include paying for the driver's transportation to my home. I explained that I needed to leave my home by 9:30 this morning and he said okay. Robert called at 7:24 to informed me that he was trying to locate a tech because one tech was on weekend drill this weekend. He asked if the tech had contacted me yet and I responded, no. At 7:32 a.m. the tech (Chuck) called to inform me that he lives in Green Cove Springs and it would take about 1.5 hours to get to me and 1.5 hours for him to return home, which would cost me at least $425 to place the garage door opener back on track. I declined this service as I considered this price to be outrageous. Thank God for Angie's List! I was able to locate another company who was very professional, has an "A" rating, called me back within 5 minutes and who was available to come out today.

Workers were punctual & work was done in time promised snowfield services provided. The carpenter for Re do. All included in 1480.70.

They were very prompt. Informative and polite.

Service was prompt. However, the serviceman forgot to set some kind of button before he left, and the door became unreliable within a few weeks. However, when I called about the problem, they returned free of charge and fixed the problem promptly.

They were good. They had to come out several times but they did it with no extra charge. It was a good experience with them but not wonderful. I would use them again, if needed.

Salesman came to home location, viewed damaged door, then sought to contact manufacturer to obtain 2 new panels as replacement for damaged panels. He was informed that this model door has been discontinued. He had brochure for another manufacturer who makes similar style, (recesses slightly deeper than original design, otherwise identical). Salesman, advised me to save spring and undamaged panels from old door. After color check, placed an order for new door. Approximately, 9 days later, he called to say new door has arrived when can he setup installation? The next day, subcontractor, Monahan Overhead Doors (904-217-0445), arrives with new door and proceeds to remove old unit and install new door. The whole job took approximately 3 hours. He cleaned up after himself and removed damaged panels and unused hardware. All in all a painless, but somewhat costly experience (my fault, not theirs).

We had one of the springs break (the other one was replaced in 2004). Due to various reasons, JB Mathews replaces both springs at the same time. The technician arrived as scheduled and not only replaced both of the springs but also lubed and checked everything else associated with the door.

The work was done in two steps. On the first day one fellow did mechanical things, and determined that the opener unit was shot and had to be replaced. He notified the home office, On the next day, another fellow came and replaced said unit.

I went to a couple Home Centers to see what they could recommend and got nowhere. I spoke with a rep from the company at the Orlando Home Show. No pressure to replace the door (though I asked for a quote and it was much more reasonable than the Home Centers as well). I decided to repair the door for now since the cost wasn't bad; $100. The appointment was scheduled a day or two after my call, and completed quickly and courteously. I would definitely recommend them and plan to use them to replace my garage door within a year.

OVERALL THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY DID WHAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO. THEY DID A GREAT JOB. I KNOW THE DOOR IS WORKING NOW, AND I KNOW IT IS GOOD WORK.

I CALLED THEM, AND I HADN'T SPOKEN TO THEM IN TEN YEARS. THEY GAVE ME A PRICE AND SAID SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TO COME OUT TO VERIFY. WE AGREED ON THE PRICE, AND I WAS GIVEN A SCHEDULED TIME. THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME, AND I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH IT IN THE PAST YEAR.

WE DEALT WITH DARIN AT JB MATHEWS COMPANY. HE HELPED US WITH SELECTION OF A QUALITY DOOR. HE MADE SURE THE JOB WAS COMPLETED ON SCHEDULE. THIS WAS A GOOD PRODUCT AT A GOOD PRICE.

WE SELECTED THIS COMPANY AFTER WE HAD UNSUCCESSFULLY ORDERED A MORE COSTLY AND INFERIOR PRODUCT. THANKFULLY, WE FOUND THIS COMPANY IN THE YELLOW PAGES AFTER GETTING VARIOUS ESTIMATES. WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE. UPON OUR REQUEST, THEY HAD SOMEONE COME TO GIVE US AN ESTIMATE. THE GARAGE DOOR WAS INSTALLED WITHIN THREE WEEKS OF OUR ORDER. IT WAS AMAZING TO SEE HOW ONE INDIVIDUAL COULD PUT IT ALL TOGETHER IN JUST ONE MORNING! THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS ALSO BEEN VERY RECEPTIVE TO OUR QUESTIONS.
