There were a chipped corner, broken drywall, wide seams/gaps, a non-flush corner, mismatched stone heights, cracked grout, and a damaged dishwasher. A tape measure and handsaw were used to trim the stone, badly. The grout color didn't match the stone. My designer said she had never seen a rougher installation. Later they agreed the seams were bad. During repairs, they moved the stone and broke the masonry grout between it and the new backsplash. The new seams are smoother, but the epoxy grout is all gray. The installer mocked my description of the stone color as 'salmon'. I signed the papers to get them out of the house. A friend says it's worse than before. They cracked the ceramic vanity sink and replaced it angrily; the cutout is smaller than the sink. They promised to replace the dishwasher electronic control panel, admitting they are not appliance repairmen, but twice tried to send the same installer who had refused to handle the cooktop because it was electrical.
