Description of Work: elecrical, plumbing, hvac (a/c and boiler) as part of remodel. Replaced electrical circuits in 2/3rds of the house, replaced entire main panel. Replaced 90% of existing plumbing. Added heaters and new zone on hot water boiler system. Moved secondary a/c unit and replumbed. Replaced primary A/C condenser and cooling coils on high speed system.

Description of Work: They addressed plumbing and electrical issues and concerns raised during a home inspection. They fixed the things that needed to be corrected and advised us on situations where remediation was not required under local laws, providing a substantial savings. They also left documentation on the invoices they presented. I was very satisfied with their work and integrity.

Description of Work: They provided a quote for replacing my heat pump/air conditioning system. The actual installation is to occur on July 1st.

Description of Work: They replace Heat Pump and Air Handler in Aug 2014. However, installation was faulty. The installer did not properly connect wire for high speed stage. As a consequence Nov-Dec 2014 and Jan 2015 heat pump kicked over to Auxillary heat (since 2nd stage was not operational). Heating costs were several hundreds dollars more than if installation was correct.

Description of Work: came to investigate frozen pipes. Told receptionist I may need heat tape. When technician arrived, he said they never use it. When I asked why receptionist didn't mention this, he said she was new.

Description of Work: Annual cleaning of our gas furnace. The service associate was efficient and neat. We have used this company before for other plumbing needs. Though the cost may be higher than charged by other companies in the area, we think the extra cost is worth the quality work performed.

Description of Work: Diagnosed problem with a leak in our furnace, which they did not install. Got the part for free from the manufacturer, researching our warranty, which we did not know about; and fixed the problem effectively. We will use them again.

Description of Work: We used them for an intitial preventative maintenance on A/C...they performed the way you'd hope; efficient, fair, respectful, good communications, competent. The service tech spent quite a bit of time as this was his first time servicing our units. It was a set fee for the preventative maintenance and he stayed until close to 5pm on a Friday. He was not in a hurry - he was focused on his work. We will go on maintenance contracts for heating and a/c with them. We also subwequently scheduled a plumbing call after finding out they do that as well. Same type service technician; focused, good communicator etc.

Description of Work: Weekend emergency call. They responded quickly and only charged for the call (a fixed price) not for the work. A previous appliance repairman had done a poor job, leading to a flooded kitchen. Jos Frederick & Sons took care of it. We have used them many times and have a service contract covering our heating & cooling system. Always good work.
