I received a call back within 10 minutes of my online submission - which I thought was great. However, I could tell it was from a sales center and the individual on the phone didn't have much more information for me other than what I read online. He quoted me a price based on satellite. He was looking for a commitment right then. I told him I needed more info and was still thinking about it, and had to discuss with my husband. He said he would call the next day and follow up. I advised him I probably would not have an answer the next day and I would contact them when I made a decision.
I received 4 phone calls within the next 24 hours from the sales center and 1 call from the local service - 5 calls total. I called the local service rep back and left a message thanking him for the call, but advised that I was going with another company. I then received a call back from the local rep 3 hours later with a long voicemail, telling me I was making a bad decision going with the other company. It was very condescending. The rep advised that the other company I chose was probably lying to me about the chemicals they use and that I should not trust what they say. He also repeated several times TruGreen was running sales that week. I realized then he only wanted to make a sale. The only info I received from TruGreen was them badmouthing the other company. They couldn’t even sell me on their service!
I did not call TruGreen back again. I continued to receive at least 3-4 calls a day for the next week. The last straw was on a Sunday - Mother's Day - I received 2 calls within 2 hours. I called the number back, and I only got the answering service, who told me they could not put me in contact with anyone at that time but they could only take a message. So, TruGreen could call (borderline harass) me anytime they wanted (on a weekend, holiday) but yet when I wanted to speak with them, I was unable to. I had the answering service leave a message to place me on their and quot;do not call listand quot; immediately and I hope that I never get a call

They put a report online so that you can look at everything. They are reasonable. You can pay as you go or pay it all at once. It is very convenient.

They never showed up one time. They were always late. They never did soil test or anything like that. The sales team did a really good job of talking it up but when it came down to get the work done, their crew wasn’t very experienced and didn’t really knew what they were doing. I finally got rid of them. They came back 8 different times for different things. When they came out first time, they put down the chemicals in uneven pattern and we can see stripes where they have gotten it and areas where they had missed. When they came back, they just redid the whole thing. They were terrible. They were pricey. They seemed to have changed their policy now, they say they come out and do soil test, but they didn’t do it for me the first time.

We love Scott's and continue to use them. Our lawn is the best in the neighborhood from their applications. Our only issue with them is the customer service department that deals with PROMOTIONS... We ended up getting a Visa gift card for origanally signing up and the referring service. We were due $90. They beat around the bush over and over.. We ended up talking to he head person who finally handled it after 6 months... So be diligent about it.. But don't let that stop you from using them... Awesome service and quality products.

They put some oil and some spray on the trees so that they do not freeze up. The service was expensive.

Our lawn (about 2 acres) had been overrun with crabgrass during the summer of 2010. I saw the Trugreen company truck working in the neighborhood, so decided to give them a try. I emphasized that I needed to be notified ahead of the treatment day since I own 3 dogs and wanted to be sure to keep them inside on those days. I was assured by numerous employees of the company, over the course of several months, that it was no problem to notify me a day or two before treating, that they obviously could not spray the lawn if the dogs were out in the yard. I spoke to the technicians who did the actual spraying, and to several customer service reps. The lawn was treated 4 to 5 times the summer of 2011, and I was never notified ahead of time when they were coming, except before the last treatment in October. How hard can it be to call me beforehand? Also received many calls trying to sell me more of their services, which got to be annoying. I decided to go with another company this summer (2012.) You have to call Trugreen to cancel their service because it carries on from year to year without your renewing it. I called yesterday, they took my message and said someone would call me back, which I thought was ridiculous, why did I have to talk to someone else? It's been 24 hours and they still haven't called me back, so not sure if I am canceled or not. Plus I have huge bare, dead areas in my lawn from crabgrass!

We found them through a flyer in the mail. They reseeded our yard, fertilized and weed killing. I did not think the reseeding was very effective.

They give a discount if I am having more things done. I spent around $80 on their service. With them, I pay and if I am happy I can continue using them and if I am not, I am not obligated to continue with them. I always get a call a day before to let me know that they are going to be here.

This is the third year I have used them. They are very reasonably priced. They are local and are quick to handle complaints. They give helpful tips for taking care of my lawn. They are very easy to deal with, they don't even require a lengthy contract.

I GET 5 LAWN TREATMENTS PER YEAR AND HAVE HIRED THEM FOR THE PAST 7 YEARS. THE COST HAS GONE UP VERY MINIMALLY OVER THE 7 YEARS. THEY TREAT THE ENTIRE ACRE OF YARD. THEY ALWAYS LEAVE A REPORT OF WHAT THEY DID THAT DAY, WHAT THEIR OBSERVATION WAS OF THE LAWN, WHAT I COULD EXPECT FROM THE TREATMENT THEY APPLIED THAT DAY AND ANY RECOMMENDATIONS THEY MAY HAVE TO OFFER. THEY ALSO GIVE YOU SOME GENERAL INFORMATION SUCH AS THE TIME OF DAY THEY WERE THERE, THE WEATHER CONDITIONS, THE NAME OF THE EMPLOYEE WHO TREATED THE LAWN AND THE CHEMICALS USED. EVERY EMPLOYEE COMES IN UNIFORM AND REPRESENTS THEIR COMPANY IN A PROFESSIONAL MANNER. I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THEIR SERVICE AND THEY ALLOW ME TO ATTEND TO OTHER MATTERS.
