Adam's Basement were extremely professional.  They provided extensive details on project, put no pressure on sale, indicated they were a part of a program that allows materials to be used responsibly and recycle in an environmentally responsible way.

Wonderful. Steve came to provide an estimate and explained everything in layman's terms without the and quot;hard selland quot; used by other waterproofing companies. They showed up when they said they would with a large group of workers. The work was extensive and done quickly in 3 days. The crawlspace was in bad condition so they replaced the insulation and hauled away dirt to level the ground, then encapsulated with material. The egress window looks great, and lets in so much light. I love it!
All of the workers, foremen, Adam and Steve were professional and friendly. They did their best to keep everything clean (it's a dirty job). They even fixed a loose board on my deck and Adam carried in my groceries!
I'm very pleased with their work and now my basement smells so much better. I can move on with finishing the basement without worrying about water coming in.

Everything went great.  They were on time, employees were very nice and moved the heavy pieces that I could not move. They went out of their way to help.  The house was left clean and the outside was spotless I thought I would have to go out and pick up the extra gravel that was on the ground they took care of everything. I am very pleased.  The very first night we had rain and I had no water in the basement.  I would definitely recommend Adam Basement.

Drilled out portion of floor to remove water underneath concrete and filled with stone and resurfaced. Workers were on time, friendly, knowledgeable, professional. Completed work and provided warranty that leak would not occur again.

We just purchased a 1955 classic home in Newark that had watar, mold and mildew issues not properly addressed so we did what any normal person would do - looked for a high quality and professional basement waterproofing company and found Adam Basement. The job went as scheduled and as promised. The guys showed up at 8:00 and worked until 6:30 and when they were done, they swept and cleaned up after themselves. They were polite and very hard workers. I still feel like it is a totally different basment..

I cannot say enough good things about the service and quality of work Adam Basement provided us after Hurricane Irene hit our area in 2011. We had 2 feet of standing water in our 1000 square foot finished basement. While a restoration service removed the water, carpet and drywall, Adam Basement came in immediately and not only figured out why water was still seeping through our basement floor, but they fixed the problem permanently. Our basement has remained dry, even during the recent hurricane, Sandy. After assessing the damage and explaining our options, we were given a quote and guarantee. We were so confident, we didn't even get another quote. We hired Adam Basement right after we got a claim check from the insurance company. They were in and out in 2 days... very impressive for the amount of work and the high quality work they did. The crew that came in was professional and clean. There was no dust, dirt, or trash left after the job was done. The work was thorough and obviously a success, because we haven't had one drop of water in our basement for the first time in 10 years. Another thing I also am impressed about is the follow-up they have done with us to confirm that all is well. After a couple of bad rain storms and after Hurricane Sandy, they called us to make sure we were dry. I like that kind of service especially after spending so much money.

They were able to complete the job in just one day, which was impressive given the amount of work. When a small amount of water returned, they came right out and saw a new problem and took care of it for free, as they knew I was short on cash.

Originally, I wanted a Bilco door system installed. Unfortunately, after consultation with an engineer and strict code requirements, it was decided that a window well and egress window would be the best option. Admittedly the process was complicated and likely outside the standard procedure for the company, but I was not impressed with the level of competence displayed by the company representative, Steve. I won't get into all the difficulties which arose during the three months it took to get the project done, but I will say there were many. When the installation finally started, I did feel much better because Adam and his carpenter seemed to have the requisite knowledge to complete the job effectively. The project was done in a timely manner and ultimately passed inspection. However, after the first big rain the window well filled up with water and began to flood my basement, despite the system in place to prevent this from happening. I got in touch with the company to find out what options were available and was informed that there would be an additional charge to remedy the situation. Apparently, the waterproofing warrantee wasn't applicable to this situation because the work they performed was not the cause of the water leakage. They indicated that there was no way they could have predicted the large amount of water that ultimately entered the window well. I didn't want to pay them additional money to fix a problem that I felt should have been done correctly in the first place.
I don't usually like bad reviews because it sounds like people are complaining about making bad decisions. I will agree, some of the blame clearly fall on me. I should have been more diligent in my research during every stage of this project. At the time I contracted for the work to be done there were no reviews for Adam Basement on this website. My goal isn't to bash Adam Basement. The owner and carpenter are both hard working gentlemen. Unfortunately I can not say the same for everyone that I dealt with in the company. I am writing this review merely as a and quot;heads-upand quot;, so that others can have adequate information to make an informed decision.

The crew did a lot of extra work removing brick borders and landscaping stones and did a beautiful job replacing them with a new stone border. They were exceptionally professional, polite and left the project each day leaving no mess behind. Steve, the company's foreman, gave us all the time we asked for and answered every one of our calls. He was as honest as, we think anyone can be, considering the unknowns in a project like ours. The cost of this service was another $10,000.
When a company they recommended to dig up what ended being several huge rotting trees buried in our yard (that were creating sink holes) bailed out of the project half way through, Adam's Basement completed the project for us in a timely fashion. This involved hauling truck loads of debris and trees and bringing in truck loads of topsoil. This service cost us another $10,000.

Although this project costs us way more than we planned (what project doesn't?), It was not their fault, rather we had a lot of problems that we were unaware of. In the end, we were very pleased with the results.

Adam and Steve worked tirelessly to get the job done and follow through with everything and more of what we asked for.
