Jackson Tree Care

Contracted with Phil Jackson to remove 25 large trees from a recently purchased property. The trees had dangerously grown to tall (60eet) and were a hazard to the property. Not only did Phil and team do a great job, no damage occurred to any of the structure. Surgical precision in removing them. His price was best of several contractors that quoted the work.

Mr. Jackson signed a contract with us. Stated project would take 2-3 weeks to complete. That was over a 5 weeks ago. (He has only been on the job site overall about 1 and a half weeks) He had us order a dumpster at beginning of job. We had to keep calling him, with NO return phone calls. He had took about 15 trees down on first 2 days of work. They stayed that way for over a week, it was like a tornado had went through. He finally came back and started cleaning up and filled up dumpster after i told him he would be the one paying for the additional days of the dumpster being there. After cleaning up a little he did not come back until last week. We have another 5 trees to be taken down. Our project is still not complete. Mr. Jacksons' customer service is very poor. His communication with his customers is definitely lacking. It seems that he does not manage his business efficiently he takes on too many jobs and does not complete them on schedule. Our contract states that we pay(which we did) over half for services at beginning and balance would be due upon completion. After being away from project for almost three weeks with no communication, he called and showed up following day. When he showed up he was requesting half of the balance. He complained about it so much my husband gave him 400.00. He was complaining that he has a payment due on his bucket truck, and had to make payroll. That is not his customers concern. How he manages his money as a business is irrelevant to a customer. Furthermore, if he would have completed our project instead of taking other jobs he would have had payment. I can not say anything bad about his workers. They are hard workers. But if you intend on using this company I would not be on a tight schedule to have work completed and be ready for him to ask for the balance due before work is completed.
