My heat stopped working during corona virus pandemic. I got under the house in the crawlspace to see if I could find out why it wasn't working. The Mcgee techs had put electrical tape on the spring loaded switch that is supposed to be held down by the metal covers that cover the controls. After a lot of time, i discovered the tape had loosened enough to let the switch open and disable the gas furnace. They pushed the cover back in place but never installed the screws that hold the cover on, and activated the switch. The screws were still laying on top of the furnace. I removed the tape, installed the cover with the screws and it works fine now. Just a heads up - these guys didn't take a few extra seconds to finish when they came the last time. This was a case where they CAUSED a breakdown when they were supposed to fix a breakdown.

MeGee Plumbing came out to our home on June 1st 2018 to install a new garbage disposal. Bought the more reasonable contract for $125 that covers 1 kitchen, 3 baths, 1 electric or gas water heater and 1 laundry. I could have paid $65 more whichI did not. They came out once on 10/24/18 to fix a leaking faucet. In April that came to fix a clogged drain, said it was covered then called office and was told it was not after it was done that it was $164.97. I paid and called the office and said I was under contract and it was not right, They said they would upgrade the contract by $65.00 and return the rest of the money I agreed, figured I would get some of my money back. When I never received I called three times to ask where the new contract is and my refund. No record of them agreeing to this and no return calls. Received a call today from someone who said they would talk to their manager (heard this before). I want people to be aware of the business dealings with this company so it does not happen to them.

We had a leaky rubber gasket at the bottom of the tank. Part was not in stock at Loew's or HD. When I called Megee I was very specific as to what part I needed. The woman who took my call assured me that their plumbers routinely carry this part on their trucks. When plumber arrived he did not have part but said when ordered it would arrive in 3 days Almost 2 weeks later I called Megee. They said part hadn't arrived. After another 2 weeks Megee said that the part still hadn't arrived. I was assured "Ed" would call me to explain delay. Part was eventually installed 5 weeks after first visit. Never heard from Ed. In hindsight it looks like part was not ordered promptly.

If you are looking for an unreliable, unprofessional company that does mediocre work at best, you found the perfect company!!!!! Absolutely Awful. !I called McGee, (who installed the unit about 8 years ago and has serviced the unit in the meantime), on Friday, August 3rd as I noticed the temperature in the home was increasing and the exterior unit was not running. A technician came out after hours and founds that the blower motor had ceased. The tech stated he would look up the part and call me in the morning. He followed through and charged me $141 for coming out and for half of the repair which was $600 or so. We left it with he would have the office order the part and call as soon as they got it. Being it’s August a working ac is preferable and to me there was a sense of urgency to get this done. I called them each day and asked for status which the staff I talked to were clearly annoyed by and day after day told me they would call when it gets in...... on Friday the part finally arrived and got installed by a less than professional technician. This happened after 7 phone calls, many which were not returned. Nothing like waiting a week in August to have an air conditioner fixed and being excessively charged even when they installed and serviced the unit.

It was pretty awesome. I had looked at a problem and I was really trying to figure out why my furnace keep cycling, and it wouldn't keep a temperature. We are expecting a house full of guests Saturday, and I was down to my last lifeline. I brought out another company, and the did an evaluation. They came to the determination that I needed a new heat-exchanger, which really pointed to getting a new furnace. I thought I would bring Megee out, since they have a good reputation. The guy called me(I wasn't on site), and asked what was going on, and I explained the problems I was seeing. Within an hour, he called back and explained to me in much detail how he troubleshooted the problem. So rather than a new furnace at $2500, I was able to have the Megee tech figure out the problem, and fix it within an hour or 2. The last thing I was looking for was a $2500 expense around the holidays. I am completely sold on Megee service. The solution wasn't a broken part, or something malfunctioning. It was a very difficult condition that he figured out, and solved. My hats off to these guys.

The installers did not run the drain pipe outside so it flooded the attic. It was plummed into the toilet vent pipe . They had came out on several occasions for the unit not cooling properly. Called them out because water was dripping in the master bath. They said they fixed the problem. It was the pan under the unit had filled with water due to sucking insulation into the unit and clogging it. Two months later, the water was not just dripping it was like a faucet was turned on. I climb in the attic to find the problem. That is when I found the drain pipe taped to the vent pipe. The unit was draining in the attic and behind the walls in the bathroom. I called them out again. The ceiling, walls and floors were so wet the Sheetrock fell in the bedroom and bathroom. It has cost me 15,000 dollars to fix the damage they caused. They have yet to pay for any damages done. The unit still does not work properly. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.....you will pay for it dearly

Took 2 to 2.5 hours to fix. They charged just short of $900. The faucet kit could be purchased from Lowe's for $50. I figure the other parts were about 50. $90 to show up. Able to get mcgee down to $500. Still too much. They use a book to determine how to charge. Be careful. Get a complete cost for job before starting. If you dont agree call their mgt.

Overall rating - I give them an “A” mainly because they came out on a Sunday. I had a little water damage, but not much. I didn’t have to call anybody else, it wasn’t that bad.

As a contractual customer, I expected to receive better service. I called to have McGee repair two water lines and probably leak in a drain line under my mobile home. Although they responded quickly the first time they came out, the plumber reversed the hot/cold line, did not connect the cold line, and did not repair the drain pipe leak. The second time the plumber came out, he hooked the lines up correctly, but still neglected to repaid the leak in the drain line. The pipe with the leak had black tape over it and was quit obvious that this was the location of the problem; the pipe was visible cracked and damaged at the 90 elbow. Called a third time, to repair the original issue, the leaky drain, and they told us that they were going to charge an extra fee since we were calling on a Saturday. This is ridiculous since I should have not been unconvinced more that once in the first place. Any licensed plumber should have picked this up and repaired it the first time. I will not be renewing my contract nor ever contacting or recommending McGee to anyone.
