Albert told me that they would need a full work week, 5-6 days, to complete the job. My wife and I had not moved into the place yet, so it was empty and ready for work right away. I got a call from the office saying that they would do the job in 4 days, first bad sign. So I paid half up front and the work commenced, and since you cant really get a look at the floors until they are finished, I had no idea what the status was. Once completed, I was able to examine the floor in daylight and at night, and I was very upset. The edge sanding was wavy and completely dished out along the perimeter of the entire floor, I mean really deep cuts dished out of the floor, you can actually feel it when you walk on it. Along with drum sander dishes sporadically throughout the floor. The coats of poly on the floor were uneven, puddles in some areas, drips, and really thin spots as well, maybe even spots that didn't get coated, and all of it with dust and debris evenly stuck throughout the finish. Very disappointing, I wish I could post pictures, it is really bad. I called their office and asked to set up a meeting with Albert before I was to give them anymore money. The secretary said ok, and when the meeting rolled around, no Albert, this guy named Chris, who worked for a different company, Delaware Wood Renewal, showed up. I showed him the problems and there was no protest that the work was not good, but he did say things like, YOU really shouldn't have had your AC on when we were sanding and finishing, and edgers are a really difficult tool to use, bamboo floors really shouldn't be sanded, and there is really no way to fix this. He asked what I wanted to do and I asked for money off. He said he needed to go call Albert, he left the house, returned, I am sure not having made a phone call at all, with an offer of a free floor cleaning as compensation. I was treated like a sucker, and was made to feel like I made this happen. I didn't know what to do, so I told him I would be in touch. I slept on it, well not really, I couldn't sleep, and I called them a couple days later and asked to have Albert call me and that I wanted a full refund of my money. Still no call from Albert, instead I was called by Chris, saying that I needed to give them a chance to fix the mistakes, which was surprising since he did clearly say that he couldn't fix the dishing in the floor. But, I let them try, and again, they did a horrible job. They went in a scrapped out about 20% of the dished areas, leaving the rest, and leaving a horrible ripped up wood texture in these areas. They then re-screened the entire floor and recoated it, all in about 8 hours. Same results as before, uneven application and lots of dust and debris in the finish. When I arrived at the house the AC was blasting, and I am sure it was blowing all of the dust into the finish. There was dust all over the walls, and my kitchen cabinets were scratched all along the bottom. I called them again the next day asking to have Albert call me, and said that they would not be receiving anymore payment from me, that I still wanted a full refund, and that I was going to get a second opinion from someone else. At this point I was really angry and I knew that I didn't want them in my house ever again. Another floor refinishing company did eventually have a look after I moved in and said that they would have to do board replacement along the entire perimeter, and then sand the entire floor again, and it was going to be really expensive. Essentially, Nhance said they could do my floors no problem and then threw my job to their sister company, Delaware Wood Renewal, and they butchered my floor, I have never been able to get in touch with owner since, and it looks like I am out $3000 with a floor that is in many ways worse than before and looking at having to hire another crew to come and fix it in the future. Do not hire this company, they are not interested in taking care of you, they want to do jobs quickly and cheaply with unskilled laborers, and then rely on a customer's ignorance in order to lower and manipulate your expectations. Get several quotes, and don't put much stock in someone that says they sand really "fancy" and "complicated" flooring, and that your's will be easy. As of now, 12/10/15, I have yet to hear back from Albert, and I am sure they are happy to just have my $3,000. Its has taken me a long time to clam down about the situation in order to write a mostly civilized review. I guess I just have to file this under "new home owner's lesson learned".
