Initially, things seemed to be going well. There were some areas that needed drywall or plaster repair or simple surface preparation that needed to be done prior to painting. Tyrone had someone that he recommended that he'd worked with in the past, so we went with his recommendation. This was included in the overall final price of the job.
Tyrone worked quickly, as did his drywall guy, and they cleaned up the house very well after the majority of the work was complete. 
However, upon final inspection, we discovered an entire surface of one wall was simply not prepared prior to painting at all - there was painted over tape, and several other marks, indentations and the like on that wall.
Further, there was another area in another room where the repair from old water leakage was simply incomplete - the repair didn't go down far enough, and the repair itself was sub-standard. Tyrone simply painted over these imperfections, leaving us to discover and comment on them - why were they painted over when clearly no surface prep had been performed, or the repair incomplete. 
When my wife brought these items up to Tyrone - there were also a couple of blank areas, and a radiator cover that Tyrone hadn't bothered to remove to paint around/behind, he became very defensive, abusive and aggressive toward my wife, who at the time was home alone with him. It scared her, and made her feel vulnerable. Tyrone escalated and made excuses and was simply not willing to address the issues. I had to rush home from work to step in and calm the situation down and to protect my wife.
This is outrageous. Any business owner who raises his voice and confronts his customers in their homes like he did is simply unacceptable. The issues we brought up were fairly minor on the whole - the rest of his work was just OK/fine. He just simply didn't like that anything was wrong and was unwilling to do anything about it. He just showed up wanting his money - ALL CASH by the way - challenging these days in the daily ATM limits.
I offered to let him just leave without addressing the issues because it was so uncomfortable having him in our home at this point - his voice still raised, still protesting all the way - for 200.00 less than originally agreed upon because the work wasn't done and if he didn't want to complete the job, then why would I pay him to yell at us in our home and not address the issues leaving the job incomplete? 
He completely was not going to leave without his money, so eventually we agreed his would address the issues, very begrudgingly. Just awful experience.
I will never work with Tyrone again, and I would not recommend that anyone else do either.

Tyrone was prompt, efficient and truly wanted us to be happy with the finished product - which we were! It took him a bit over a day to do the work (he had to scrape the dormers, prep the area, etc). He was extremely nice and easy to work with. I highly recommend Tyrone and will DEFINITELY be hiring him in the future!

Poor.

Tyrone did a fantastic job on my ceilings, and I would rehire him. I had some drywall that needed to be patched, and he called in the right person to do the job. Tyrone was well prepared, thoughtful in his work, and cleaned up everyday before he left.

Tyrone is an independent contractor who works by himself, or with one or two assistants he hires. He is extremely eager for work and does an outstanding job from start to finishing, using only top-quality materials. He operates very informally in regards to contracts and such; he will follow your lead on that. He will throw out a somewhat high price quote initially, but he is flexible and will come down. Please give him some business; he is a great guy who works very hard.
