Manny performed diagnostic troubleshooting and identified the faulty component. He was friendly, communicative and extremely helpful.

Manny from Service Master came twice. First time he came, assessed the problem and returned a few weeks later with the needed parts. But before installing them, he realized the problem may be with the valve feeding water to the fridge and not the fridge its self. Instead of charging me $500 for the parts and labor, he charged me $50 and encouraged me to get a plumber out to fix the valve. He suspected that would fix the problem, but if it didn't to call him again. I love the honesty and the willingness to admit his oversight and not make me pay for it. He clearly explained what he thought the issue was so I could explain it to a plumber. An honest and pleasent person. I would totally recommend Manny and Service Master again!

Easy and seamless

Service Master was quick to respond to my request for help with a gas oven that was not working. We scheduled a time that was convenient for me (a weekend), and the technician showed up ahead of schedule (which was good). He very quickly identified the problem, gave me a quote for repair, then fixed the problem in less than 30 minutes. I was very happy with their responsiveness, price, and quality.

It did not go well. Mani was a very nice guy who came soon after my request, was always on time, left no mess after his visits and was a pleasure to deal with. BUT.... his first repair (replacement of the main control board) did not fix the problem, nor did his second (replacement of one of the water valves, for which he charged only for parts, not labor) and by then more than a month had gone by (mostly due to the fact that parts had to be ordered from China so the delay itself was not his fault). After all of this time the washer still does not work and I have spent more than half as much as a new washer would have cost. I am pulling the plug on Mani at this point since I have no conficence that he will be able to fix the machine and I cannot wait any more for further, time-consuming, expensive service. Too bad, I like the guy otherwise.

All the technician did was give us replacement prices for the control panel and the motor--both very expensive. Surely, there are a few things that might be tried to get themachine working correctly again.

They never called back.

Called in the morning and Manny was able to come the same day. 4-7 window...called at 5:30 to let us know he would be arriving shortly. We had a short in the motherboard. Unplugged the refrigerator and plugged it back in and it seems to be working ok again. He only charged for the service call and said that could be applied to future repair if/when the motherboard stops working completely. Very good service!

Problem solved.

I had used Service Master to fix my leaking washing machine a few months ago, so when my dryer developed a small problem, I called them back. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance (prior to leaving town) so that I could have them come at a convenient future time/date. I never received a reminder/confirmation closer to the appointment time, but was optimistic that the company would show up. Instead, after waiting for the entire 3-hour arrival window, I called the company. At first, their voicemail bounced me to a strange number (not what I dialed) that said the mailbox was full and then hung up. Calling back several times a few min later, someone answered, noted that "yes" I indeed did have an appointment scheduled but said he had no idea where the technician was. He said he would check and call me back. He did not respond in a timely manner. Suffice it to say, after a VERY frustrating morning, I'm still left with a broken dryer and no service. So much for trying to be a repeat customer for a company that doesn't seem to care about good service. I'll now have to find someone else and start all over. Very irritating!

The installation happen on schedule and it went as planned. It was up and running the same day.

Good, the technician arrived a little late but he had the AC issue resolved in less than 1 hour.

Manny returned my call promptly, showed up on time, diagnosed the issue quickly and showed up with the ordered part when he said he would. Very professional, very pleasant to work with. Would use this vendor again in a heartbeat.

Claimed deal but never heard from service master.

I purchased the deal on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Angies list says to contact the company via the messaging service. I've purchased deals before, and the merchants are usually very good about responding first. This was not the case with Service Master, so I called them on Wednesday, October 18 about repairing a broken refrigerator. There were no available slots on the 18th, so I asked about the 19th. The person to whom I spoke gave me the impression he was scheduling me for Thursday, October 19 for the 11-2 window. He even told me the tech would call be 30 minutes before he came. Fast forward to Thursday at 1:30 pm. No tech. No call, and, unfortunately, I did not get the name of the gentleman to whom I spoke. But whoever he was, apparently he did not put me in the system, because when I called on the 19th I was told I was not on their schedule. I explained that my refrigerator was dead and my food was spoiling...no sympathy. But I was put on the schedule on the 20th in the 10-1 window... I began this review after that conversation. If first impressions are worth anything, then Service Master will not be a merchant with whom I work again, regardless of how many 4 star ratings others give. The next part of the review will discuss my experience after the repair...

The technician arrived early and called ahead to let us know. He was very courteous. He immediately understood the problem and was prepared with the right water housing components. He fixed the unit quickly and made sure to test it multiple times. He answered all our questions in a way we could understand. Great service.

Not great, bob.

Our dryer stopped working suddenly one night and with two small children who go through multiple outfits a day, we needed someone to come by pronto. The last time, it was really hard to find someone who works on Samsung appliances. However, Manni was extremely responsive, coming by the next day on a long weekend. He was very professional, calling when he was on his way and arriving ahead of his estimated window. While the problem seemed to have mostly resolved itself when he checked it out, Manni was able to give us some suggestions as to what it may have been and also checked the full system and vents to make sure it was nothing else that would reappear once he left. The service fee was cheaper than we'd had to pay in the past with other vendors and had we needed more work, would have been applicable to the cost of the repair.

Excellent service. Very informative and honest about options for repair. We ended up paying the service call fee but no other services were completed. With their helpful suggestions and analysis we decided it would be more cost effective to purchase a new washing machine rather than spend $300+ on needed repairs.
