 + -1 morePoorly. They couldn't return my calls, didn't show up to work up an estimate, but only called me back when I left a message saying I'd hired another company.
Description of Work: I called them six (6) times for an estimate. On the third call, we set an appointment for them to do a free on-site assessment and then provide the estimate. The didn't show up that day. They said they didn't know why it was a no-show when I called at the end of the day to ask what happened. They said they'd call me back to reschedule. They never did. Four days later, I called to tell them I'd contracted with someone else and no longer was interested in their service because of the lack of attention I'd received over the previous five calls. Someone called back to apologize and promise it'd not ever happen to me again; again saying he didn't know how or why this all had happened. That was the end of it.

 + -1 moreWalker Roofing submitted an excellent, on time, and detailed estimate. Their price was competitive. They answered all my question on the estimate. They started the work when they said they would, with one day delay for rain. The work was completed to my entire satisfaction on schedule. Mr. Walker and his staff were courteous and pleasant, to me and to my neighbors, it is a semi-detached house They work was done in a very professional manner and the site was cleared and cleaned of all rubbish and equipment every day and at the end of the work.

Description of Work: Repaired and sealed counter flashing and step flashing around 2 chimneys. Repaired and sealed 2 vent pipe collars. Caulked and sealed all exposed nail holes.

My instincts were confirmed when on the same day of the appointment, the owner calls to cancel because "his guys called out." They were totally unprofessional, but I think I saved myself a lot of headaches.

 + 1 moreThey were responsive on the telephone and polite. The estimate was done quickly and the work scheduled. They arrived on time, did the work quickly, and cleaned up nicely. The man in charge provided helpful information on other roofing issues at my house. It has rained since and the chimney did not leak, so I guess they did the job properly. On the negative side, they were supposed to provide an estimate on installing gutter covers, but they failed to do so.
Description of Work: Fixed chimney leak on roof. (Re-attached flashing and sealed; repaired and sealed step flashing and counter flashing; installed new chimney cap.
